    You're also great in video editing. Moreover, you're ideas are better than the toy companies who make action figures...specially in articulation.

      Well to be fair - toy companies have to manufacture things globally, you could get action figures with similiar articulation like this Cell, but the cost would be quite high. Btw i wonder what could this guy do with 3d printing, i mean he creates a freaking masterpiece things with just glue and paper, could you imagine what he would create with 3d printed parts of his own design =)?

    I am so glad that I found your channel by complete accident.
    I'm also an artist, more specifically in origami and 3D origami, and my latest 3D origami figure ( Frieza mind you ) I used a similar joint skeletal structure to make my 3D figure move ( like head, chest, tail and arm movements ) I was planning to expand on this concept myself some more in the future because paper is so much more easy accesable than any other material ( and glue as well since I make it myself, it's really strong stuff when it dries )
    But man, when I looked through your channel on what you have done so far you have taken this concept to an entire god like level, glad I'm not the only one who though of this before.
    I will definitely try some of these things myself for my 3D Origami models as well, I might even try also doing a figure in the way you do it since it takes way less time than the individual 3D pieces I have to make for my Origami figures.
    I hope to see more of your stuff in the future as well, keep up the good work.

    • @PaperPatriot
      @PaperPatriot  6 років тому +2

      That's awesome man, I'm excited to hear someone else uses paper to create 3D art. I really do hope you my stuff gives you some ideas and would love to see it somehow!

    • @PaperPatriot
      @PaperPatriot  6 років тому +1

      Woah I saw that Frieza, I can't believe that it's really paper, that means you know you've done a good job. I thought it was knitted or something at first glance, he's massive too compared to the Pops. I like it, especially if it's articulated like you said.
      Yeah I get a lot of comments suggesting that actually, so I am now considering since this Cell model specifically as discoloured a bit. They are already pretty solid though so that's not an issue. I may get around to it but for now I don't want to make the process any more complicated than it is, I also don't want my models looking glossy or plastic, I want them to look like paper drawings.

    • @vleer1994
      @vleer1994 6 років тому

      Ah I understand your issue with it looking to plasticy, but maybe if you would use a matte paint/polish it would look less shiny ( the one I used was to make it look shiny but I think that the colours stand out way better because of it )
      Also your figures are maybe solid but the joints will wear down with time I think ( it is only paper after all ), expecially if you keep moving the limbs.
      So if you would only coat those more sensitive parts then the figure would be a lot more durable and it would still would have the paper look since the joints are on the inside.
      And spraying/painting doesn't take as much time as you may think, if you let it dry directly in the sun it will be dry in a few hours ( 2-5) and I sprayed the seperate pieces 3 times each to be sure. So I do think that in a full day it is doable.
      Also thank you for checking out my figure, I would definitely do things in a different way now that I had some time to think about it ( definitely the black lines on the chest to define the chest muscles starts to bother me, I really should have either done them in light grey or just leave them out completly, oh well )
      But in the end I could always make a new chest part and just simply replace it, since I also kept in mind to not permanently attach them to each other.
      Also really looking forward to the next part of your Goku tutorial, it looks really amazing so far : )
