I have lived in Florida for over 16 years The heat is uncomfortable but you can get used to it some what. I have seen some people use a umbrella to shade out the sun you can look funny using one when there is no rain but it works really good. Good advice. I stopped drinking alcohol 3 years ago. I’ve been to Thailand many times but this is the 1st time I’ve came and not drank alcohol and it’s the best time I’m having. I’m treating it like a way of life. I’m going to the gym, going to bed about 11pm and still going out around the bars at night but getting up at about 7am every morning. It’s good talking to the girls with a clear head as you don’t get sucked into this fantasy of love etc.
@@Buzzinpattaya I pass many bars everyday in Pattaya and see the same men drinking all day everyday. If that makes them happy then that’s fine. But I’m loving going around the markets, walking the beach and talking to the Thai people. Best thing I done was to stop drinking alcohol. I go to Sun Fitness which you mentioned in your blog yesterday. It’s a good gym too.
Tip top video today Trev. The Post Pattaya Blues are by far the worst. Someone once said don’t make any major life decisions for the first three months after you return from Thailand.
You are so right with everything. Coming home was depressing. I found myself bored and missing Thailand and a woman that I spent three days with and leaving would have been harder if I saw her any more. It is a fantasy world, I don't think I ever felt more alive. I was there a month and the TV wasn't watched once. And I spent no time in the bars.
Great advice. I think it's good to mentally prepare yourself before your trip. Really set in your mind the "fantasy" aspect of your trip. You're taking a time out of "real" life, and "real" life will be waiting for you, with all it's attendant worries and hassle when you get back. Before I take a long holiday, I usually book a weekend trip away at home for when I return. When I get home from my trip, I have this weekend trip a couple of weeks later to get me back in "home country" mode. Have a plan, rather than just coming home, and sitting on the couch staring out the window living in the past of your holiday. Get home, and keep moving forward.
Just returned from my first trip after 6 weeks in Pattaya and the only depressing thing was returning home, when I return to work next week will be planning my next trip in January. Not sure why people care about the stigma, I own it, even the older women at work laugh about it, play it up, be proud.
This winter I was in Thailand for 2 months. When I came home to Sweden I just crashed and got super depressed. My body was in Sweden and my mind was in Thailand. Worst cognitive dissonance I have ever experienced.
@@Buzzinpattaya Weirdest shit ever. Called my best friend crying not knowing what I was experiencing. I have a ticket coming back on 29th of December. See you then Trev. My thai little sister is getting married over there so definetly have to go. Anyways I have to get away from Swedens horrible winters...
All great advice Trevor! Sorry to seem a twit, but were I to come out, 1 week would be my limit I'm afraid. One of those 7 days would be set aside to hopefully meet you my friend, and perhaps join in on a bar crawl☺️.
Plus lack of sun in Sweden will give you Seasonal Affective Disorder in any case. I can't imagine what it would be like to go from Jan/Feb in Thailand to a Swedish winter. The happiness must have switched off light a lightswitch. Winters are bad enough here in the U.K. for peoples moods to take a terrible dive. People really perk up in summer.
You always know how to entertain... I started going to Thailand in the late 80's and loved it like we all do. But always told myself, don't fall in love lol started taking friends and told them the same... Don't fall in love. Both guys I took ended up marrying. Both were very happy and 1 worked out for a long time the other didn't. The one that didn't want because of money or not being in love. My friend is extremely rich and they lived very comfortably. But in San Francisco. Turned out it was too cold and she missed her family. She went home and never asked for money. Great women. Not I'm married to a Thai so I broke my rule lol I'm still in Calif with my wife and her daughter and it couldn't be better. Planning retirement and looking into the dark side as an option. So thanks for your work in showing your favorite city. 🤟
Spot on. I'm looking forward to planning a short trip and the biggest thing for me is to be realistic and go into it eyes wide open, having low expectations and keeping myself busy. That also means not going on the lash, taking it easy and just soaking in the atmosphere.
Very good points Trev, I broke the 3 days rule I'm still friends with her, I even invited her to join me in Bangkok back in April, but I'm under no illusions as to where I stand with her,
Stellar. Just stellar, Trevor. Some of my favorite videos of yours are always ones where your topic and demeanor are the most conversational - like two blokes sitting at a bar, watching the world go by and talking the nature of life. Cheers!
Depression sucks eh Trev..making genuine connections in Pattaya is a challenge. There is a bit of depersonalization in this type of town, the women are jaded! I’ve found it fun to just treat them as friends but when it becomes a transaction, that all goes out the window. Happy to hear you got family up north and a clear mission in life. Great content, really appreciate it!
Absolutely spot on Trevor. My first visit to Thailand was very depressing because of the heat. I got stuck in the hotel room most of my time. I was not prepared for such a heat. it hit me so hard. Great video Trevor.
when i flew back was still grinning from all the great stories i was going to be able to tell what was depressing was trying to figure when i could (starting to look like if ever) come back not a big drinker so not an issue. don't really care what people think about me ... you like me or you don't either way fine i have my fun and that's all that really matters now isn't it
Well done Trevor, great video. Keep it real, that's got to be the motto Buzzin around people's heads as they go to Pattaya. When I go to Pattaya I keep in the back of my mind that almost everyone is there to make money and you are potentially a cash-cow. If you believe all those beautiful Thai ladies who call you a "sexy man" there is no saving you! Seriously though, you are the only Pattaya based UA-camr telling it as it is. People should listen and take it in.
It's really hard for me to get depressed in Pattaya. I have been living here for nearly seven years and any situation that makes me depressed is NOT related to Pattaya. Living here is usually what makes life worthwhile.
You're spot on. The heat was the most discouraging thing about living in Thailand some years ago. I plan to move back over there one day and hope to at least have a garage to keep my car cool, because leaving it out in the sun is murder when you want to take a drive during the day.
Covered the aspects of “reality check “ well there Trevor. Went through all of those scenarios at the beginning of my visits .you give great advice as well as info and entertainment . I am in the process of a three week holiday ( again) here and having a ball (September 2022) age ? Err ..between 70 and 80 . ☺️
Thanks so much! People interested in moving to Thailand need to hear stuff like this. Also, that crisscross mess of power lines looks absolutely terrifying. :)~
Great tips, Trev. The depression on departure is definitely real, one of the only times I've really struggled to pack up my hotel. It can also be an isolating city if travelling alone, the interactions with girls are usually shallow and fabricated (but great fun!). Join a group like Buzzin or similar and get along to crawls and events to make connections with like-minded travellers. It made a huge difference helping me acclimatise on my recent first visit, thank you guys for the effort in building the community and crawls.
One more thing about the heat. When I was in Jamaica, a doctor who was on holiday advised that you shouldn't drink any booze for the first couple of days. His reasoning was that when you go from a cool climate to a hot one your body swells including your internal organs and alcohol doesn't respond well internally to that situation. Myself I noticed that after a couple of days I would sweat less and I was then ready to indulge, mainly copious amounts of pina coladas.
It depends on your budget paying for a long stay girl can suck you dry very quickly always work out what you can spend day by day there are times when i stay on my own for a couple of days to get my budget back in line and i still have fun.
Thanks for a great reminder of reality Trev, I have certainly experienced it all first hand. Great advice of the "fantasy" that is Pattaya. My first visit was seriously hard for all the reasons you have stated in your video. For me the biggest learnings I have learnt over years are "NOT TO RUSH" into things, take it easy, relax, make sure I have a long enough break to totally unwind, socialise with like minded men (joining Discord is certainly going to make that part of my next trip easier), enjoy every moment and take the time to REST UP, it is as relaxing as you want it to be. The only thing I still really struggle with to this day is "falling in love" as the woman as absolutely stunning, great company and they know what buttons to push or levers to pull. I always have to remind myself that this truly is "a fantasy world" and that my real home is on the other side of the world.
Yeh some of my so called friends judged me and couldn't understand my reasons for going to Thailand. We had many arguments which was the final nail in the coffin for me and i ended my friendship with these people.most of my friends now are regular visitors to Thailand so we have something in common
That's what I do.. rebook as soon as iget back home. I get so depressed im England. Pre covid I was going to Thailand every 3 to 4 months. Am glad to be back
You are 100% right trev about all the things you mentioned in this video the taxi back to the airport then the flight home and once your home for weeks after I'm so depressed non stop thinking of Thailand and when home I just watch Thailand UA-camrs and your right ppl back home have no idea I absolutely love the place I'll be back in November see you then
Having to leave is definitely at the top of my list. Other things I find depressing is the abject poverty, incredible number of stray dogs, the smell from the supposed rain drains and the birds nest wiring at almost every telephone pole. The heat doesn’t bother me at all and I might sound like a weirdo but I actually like to sweat.
Great video Trev! So true about leaving Pattaya. The worst feeling ever! But you got it right...just book your next rip the minute you're back home! I went 3 times in the early 00s and didn't make it back until Dec '21. You know at that time it was not even close to jumpin'. Got lucky when my boss let me come back in May of this year ('22') for 25 days! The first thing when I returned home was to book my next trip! This Dec 11th - Jan 8th! Here's the good news though...I have made up my mind to move to Pattaya in Dec '23!!! Can't wait (but I will)! See ya in a few months Trev!
Some interesting thoughts Trev and good to be aware of. I’ll take being a bit down in Thailand over being thoroughly cheesed off in Uk though I think. Thanks for doing what you do.
Hello! What a lot of people forget is to leave their expectations and assumptions at home and stay open to how things are in Thailand, and this can lead to frustration and depression. Stay open minded and remember you are a guest in a foreign country and you will do okay. Heat and sweating, remember you are not the only one experiencing it, so learn to let it go, its normal, just remember hydration is key. Everything else, remember moderation. Yes, you are on vacation, but as Clint Eastwood said in Magnum Force, "A man has got to know his limitations." Cheers!
The video isn't "doom and gloom." It's just like taking a nice walk with a friend who has been in Thailand for a long time, and him giving realistic insights.
Thanks, Trev I agree with all the points you made. You did touch on the company you keep/ The friends you choose to hang out with. I agree - AVOID and Ignore the constant negative complaining of some long-term tourists or Expats, They are only happy when they get you down to their miserable level. Be Happy No matter how rainy or how hot the weather is in Thailand. it is still better than an F ing snowstorm!
I never get depressed. But all my mates do when I tell them I am going to Thailand. Seriously they are a good bunch of lads. Some do mutter under their breath "lucky bastard"
I just came back from 90 days in Isaan. I have so many friends in Mahasarakham, Thailand is hot but not as hot as Arizona USA, so I have no problem with it, but I do agree on moderation with the drinking. I think next year I am also going to hit Phuket and/or Pattaya during December 2023. Thanks so much for the video
Great video Trev, so much truth in what you say. When I was a regular visitor I found I needed structure to the days. You can't drink from morning till night and, all your new friends are only friends as long as there's money in your wallet. I was able to do a bit of work during the day, it stopped me getting bored and drinking myself unconcious, it also kept the wage coming in. You have to have something planned to occupy your days or you get bored and lonely, and yes Pattaya can be a very lonely place. OK, so you can drink from morning till night. You see those guys staggering down the streets, stinking because they didn't shower for three days and vomit down their clothes. Never forget guys... Keep your witts about you and you'll have a great time. Drop your guard and pay a very high price. It's just Business to them.
Good video mate. Thank you. Unfortunately I have not been to Pattaya in nineteen years. I visited on my first of three visits to Thailand. Nice to see Walking Street during the day. Cheers.
Trevor, just spent a night at Nana, advise anybody not to go expecting to enjoy ,its dead one bar open next bar closed, Hooters charged 234b for one schooner, wondered why i was only custumer, never go back looking forward to Pattaya,
3 day rule???? I met my wife 2nd day in Thailand.. Been married 10 years 2 kids and a restaurant soi 5 pratamack........if you search in the wrong places then what do people think there going to find.....my advise take everyone different in pattaya good and bad in anything
Yeah sounds about right for my first trip or two out to Pattaya 555.. I second the only sharing with like minded folks that’s been to Thailand . Still in shock and awe how badly it landed when I told some of my mates I’ve been ..
Hey Trev, again great advice especially the use of appropriate clothing and protection for the extreme heat and humidity plus the need to drink plenty of water. I did disagree about the drinking aspect though and seemed more applicable to people retiring there. For example a tourist is not going to limit his drinks at Pattaya to once or twice a week, but in saying that they shouldn't get smashed every night also. Lastly a great point about the three day rule and wish I knew about it back in the 80's. Found a bar girl on my first visit and still stuck with her today after 40 odd years.... what a mistake! lol
I was exactly like you when I first came to pattaya 32 years ago, I didn't have a clue what went on, just thought it was an ordinary beach resort, how wrong was I,also I've come to realise everyone(male friends) that I know that has little sly digs about me coming to Thailand are just jealous, they're all married or in relationships and are pissed off that they haven't got the freedom to do what I do. 😂😂
Sage advice mate, book your trip back is a great tip!! I’m in Thailand at the moment and already have return trip locked in keeping in mind I only went home in May! Definetly get the date to aim at LOCKED IN!!
HINT: Do NOT drink cold water, luke warm water is what you should drink. Worked in Asia and Outback Aussie for 25 years. You cannot drink enough cold water.
You are right about the booking the next trip. I went for a month in June and i'm now heading back for 2 weeks in November. Next year I have 3 trips planned, flights already booked for March. With July and a 3 month trip in November to January '24 to book.
I prefer the 12 hour rule. Take'm for breakfast and pay them to leave. You fall out of love pretty quick when you see them in the cold light of day and watch how crappy they'll treat you when you don't let them sleep until 1 in the afternoon. They get pretty mercenary when you're walking back to your room for your morning nap and send them on their way.
When you made left after walking street up to second on the left was a massage place 2011 I was there , walking street from your pics has changed a lot. I was there Jan to March I loved the weather n ver crazy hot.
It's currently 82 F in Pattaya and 93 in Central Florida. I was actually worried if I could handle the heat if I went to Pattaya. Sounds like a weekend skiing now.
Grèat advice, I've crashed on the 3 day rule, but so far she ain't asked for anything but when am I back! Still thanks for the video! Prefer Treetown to walking street, I also love Soi 7. Cant wait to get back!
hi trev yes the worst part is knowing have to go back home.you know i have a gf ..5 years ...me and nisa ..it hurts so much when have to leave her ..but i do what you said i make a date i be back whit her ... thats why i asked about how to live over there ..have a great day mate
Great tips mate. I work in the offshore either 6/6 or 12/12 weeks on/off. That's the first thing I do when I get onboard, mark my calendar when crew change is and I can head back. 🤣🤣
Humidity not heat. I was there in June and it was 90 and Phoenix was 115 but the humidity will make you sweat in 5 minutes. I fell in love 20 times a day. I’m retiring there in January. I only drank a few beers 3 times a week.
Hi i have a question 😊 Ive just been to Pattaya for the first time 3 weeks in July and i loved every minute of it! Im thinking about going back 3 weeks at Christmas/new year. Can anyone tell me if there is enough girls compared to tourists in this period? So many tell me its super busy its there is so many tourists. Hope someone can help me answer this 😊
when i been on holiday to pattaya in the past the anticpation is massive first week great you do get a little lathargic then you realise you are going home in a few days and get back on the enjoyment train
I visit Thailand every 12 weeks , I meet the same girl every time . Its good for me because I travel alone and don't really drink a lot . But I am not in love and understand the situation . I am happy in the uk but love my free time in Thailand. To be honest if you go in all the bars yes you will meet lots of beautiful girls . But they are all different and it's not that easy to find one that is a good match for you . This is why I stay with the same girl.
Another good video Trev. However, your tip on the baht bus comes unstuck if you do it between 11pm and 1am in the morning. A couple of weeks back when trying to get back to jomtien from 2nd Rd corner walked past the baht bus waiting to fill up and went about 500-600 metres up the road. No baht bus would stop. A couple slowed down but took off again, strange because I wasn't even drunk, one stopped and wanted to charge 200 baht to jomtien beach rd, ended up calling a bolt taxi after an hour or so of trying to get a baht bus. Lesson learnt there is between 11pm and 1am always jump in the one that's waiting to fill up. Outside of these hours your baht bus tip works well.....
Trev, go out and exercise. Drink 1 bottle of cold water. Next time try warm water.3 bottles at least. You will save your life. Worked in 45C most of my life.
Another very informative Video Buzzin, I personally would say excellent advice, especially if your planning to retire or stay for a long period of time in Thailand. Your Buzzin Pattaya channel & discord platform has a wealth of information. This is a very timely video for my return, I have purchased a decent camera to do exactly what you have said take pictures bought a couple of prime lenses for street low light & landscape photography. Bringing my golf clubs, looking forward to catching up with new friends I have met thru your hard work, Buzzin channel once or twice a week, not be drinking every day. Will most likely be asked again to play for a pool team. Do the odd Buzzin Island trip, boat trip, Meet new people from all walks of life on your Buzzin Bar Crawls hopefully a Buzzin golf day is on the horizon. Very much looking forward to catching up in Buzzin Bar, keep up the good work.
Take a good multi-vitamin and eat plenty of the fresh fruit that's available in order to replenish the potassium and other minerals you lose from sweating.
Don't tell them anything when you fly back to your home. They won't like you! (Jealousy) and they won't believe you !(Jealousy). Best keep your thoughts to yourself to disappoint all the naysayers and smart arses! Questions like: 'When are you going to the clinic? Have you healed up yet ? Are all derogatory but designed to make you angry! After being here for a few years I went back and visited my local Rugby Club. The same half dozen were still at the bar, same place as ever! They eventually asked ( they thought cleverly) about the threat of catching AIDS! They were smirking : I replied " Oh, I got that once, wouldn't want to get that again! They were dumbfounded, just laughed and never offered another quip!! Be prepared to encounter people that have dull boring lives and nothing better to do! Keep Buzzin.
Hey Trevor! Great topic. I shared this with you on a bar crawl, you guys do an awesome job of providing a foundation to start from. One of the ways a person can beat depression is a sense of community. You have already provided that through the Discord. If anyone is reading this, please go to the Discord. For me it's been very helpful from finding new friends to recommendations on anything. Also it will help to motivate you to come back. I'm still in Thailand until September 10 but it's nice to know that I can pop in the Discord and stay connected! Keep up what you are doing bro! See ya soon!

The most depressing thing about Thailand is how expensive the airline tickets are right now.
👍
Agreed
I had to make a couple of return flight changes which co$t me $1000AUD … 😩
I couldn’t agree more Trev, stay in CONTROL, and you will be much happier, at the end of your journey. 😉 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Indeed my friend
Great tips and advice. Hangover in this heat is hell. Drink water folks! 🙏
Haha indeed mate
8:00 - I think it looks wider because they have taken the kerbing away, will be interesting to see how it handles monsoonal rain.
yeah fair point mate
Covered the aspects of “reality check “ well there Trevor. Went through all of those scenarios at the beginning of my visits .you give great advice as well as info and entertainment . I am in the process of a three week holiday ( again) here and having a ball (September 2022) age ? Err ..between 70 and 80 . ☺️
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! People interested in moving to Thailand need to hear stuff like this. Also, that crisscross mess of power lines looks absolutely terrifying. :)~
Thank you mate I'm just sharing my thoughts and things that I've experienced while I've been here
That taxi to Suvarnahbumi from Soi 4 man.... always so depressing!
Take the bus...😂😂
I can picture the feeling now
Great tips, Trev.
I used to hate it mate
The sixth thing is that you don’t do enough vids … always funny and informative … be careful in the heat …
Lol cheers mate
One more thing about the heat. When I was in Jamaica, a doctor who was on holiday advised that you shouldn't drink any booze for the first couple of days. His reasoning was that when you go from a cool climate to a hot one your body swells including your internal organs and alcohol doesn't respond well internally to that situation. Myself I noticed that after a couple of days I would sweat less and I was then ready to indulge, mainly copious amounts of pina coladas.
Thanks for sharing this
Finally got my membership mate.
Thank for the video.
Thank you so much for your support much appreciated my friend
It depends on your budget paying for a long stay girl can suck you dry very quickly always work out what you can spend day by day there are times when i stay on my own for a couple of days to get my budget back in line and i still have fun.
Like the choice of words..555
Well said and thank you for sharing your thoughts
Lol
Yeh some of my so called friends judged me and couldn't understand my reasons for going to Thailand. We had many arguments which was the final nail in the coffin for me and i ended my friendship with these people.most of my friends now are regular visitors to Thailand so we have something in common
I totally get what you're saying and yes experienced the exact same thing
That's what I do.. rebook as soon as iget back home. I get so depressed im England. Pre covid I was going to Thailand every 3 to 4 months. Am glad to be back
I had to rebook otherwise I was super depressed
I live here now 5 years and never depressed
Good on ya mate
You are 100% right trev about all the things you mentioned in this video the taxi back to the airport then the flight home and once your home for weeks after I'm so depressed non stop thinking of Thailand and when home I just watch Thailand UA-camrs and your right ppl back home have no idea I absolutely love the place I'll be back in November see you then
I used to hate going home I used to really upset me
the one thing that depressed me the most was leaving! lol
And me lol
Lots of sound information and advice mate .. thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences... enjoyed your work
Thank you so much
Having to leave is definitely at the top of my list. Other things I find depressing is the abject poverty, incredible number of stray dogs, the smell from the supposed rain drains and the birds nest wiring at almost every telephone pole. The heat doesn’t bother me at all and I might sound like a weirdo but I actually like to sweat.
Great comment mate thanks for sharing
Thanks mate much appreciated
I love the sun and a leo as for hangover go for swim and sauna, sorted. I did the 3 day rule 18 years and 1 daughter later we are still very happy.😎😎😁
Nice one 👍
Haha good man
Some interesting thoughts Trev and good to be aware of. I’ll take being a bit down in Thailand over being thoroughly cheesed off in Uk though I think. Thanks for doing what you do.
Thanks mate and yes I totally get how you feel
Solid Silver Andy
Morning!
thanks dude all good videos from a great guy!
Thank you very much
The video isn't "doom and gloom." It's just like taking a nice walk with a friend who has been in Thailand for a long time, and him giving realistic insights.
Thanks mate much appreciated
A really good video which put a nice balance between the fun and the dangers of a typical trip to Thailand.
Thanks mate much appreciated
One life but so many dreams make everyday another smile enjoy the journey. the smiles is the heart of happiness 👍
Absolutely
Thanks, Trev I agree with all the points you made. You did touch on the company you keep/ The friends you choose to hang out with. I agree - AVOID and Ignore the constant negative complaining of some long-term tourists or Expats, They are only happy when they get you down to their miserable level.
Be Happy No matter how rainy or how hot the weather is in Thailand.
it is still better than an F ing snowstorm!
Thanks mate and yes keep them out of ya life
I never get depressed. But all my mates do when I tell them I am going to Thailand. Seriously they are a good bunch of lads. Some do mutter under their breath "lucky bastard"
I can imagine especially those of your friends that are in a dull and boring relationship thinking why is my life so bad LOL
HOLYY SHIITTT I LOVE YOU ❤❤❤ I'VE BEEN SEARCHING AROUND THE INTERNET FOR 5 HOURS AND THEN NOW IT'S OVER FINALLY I LOVE YOU MAAN
lol
hint for the heat: underwear... natural fibre clothing is best, polyester causes 'crutch rot' and can be very painful.
cheers mate
I just came back from 90 days in Isaan. I have so many friends in Mahasarakham, Thailand is hot but not as hot as Arizona USA, so I have no problem with it, but I do agree on moderation with the drinking. I think next year I am also going to hit Phuket and/or Pattaya during December 2023. Thanks so much for the video
Glad you enjoyed the trip
Phuket is 5 degrees cooler than Bangkok and Pattaya, with a lovely ocean breeze …
@@silverfox6883 That’s really good to know because 5° makes a huge difference, thank you
How to avoid depression in Pattaya. Warm Weather all year round, friendly people, great food, cheap beer.
Nice one
Thanks for sharing your experience with us
Good advice …
Just got back to Australia Saturday, checking flights already haha…🙂
Haha
Good video mate. Thank you. Unfortunately I have not been to Pattaya in nineteen years. I visited on my first of three visits to Thailand. Nice to see Walking Street during the day. Cheers.
Wow some changes since you were here
Trevor, just spent a night at Nana, advise anybody not to go expecting to enjoy ,its dead one bar open next bar closed, Hooters charged 234b for one schooner, wondered why i was only custumer, never go back looking forward to Pattaya,
I did a video of this a couple weeks back, wasn't good
BKK a total rip off now, was even in 2019.
Interesting approach. Of course there are pitfalls. Well done to adress them.
Thank you kindly
3 day rule???? I met my wife 2nd day in Thailand..
Been married 10 years 2 kids and a restaurant soi 5 pratamack........if you search in the wrong places then what do people think there going to find.....my advise take everyone different in pattaya good and bad in anything
great to hear & well said 👍😉
@@VH-gw3qi thank you
@@kiptonanthony3362 you have a restaurant if I understand correctly?
@@VH-gw3qi yes
3 days is far too long not to fall in love over there! But congratulations to you, everything worked out 👍
Yeah sounds about right for my first trip or two out to Pattaya 555.. I second the only sharing with like minded folks that’s been to Thailand . Still in shock and awe how badly it landed when I told some of my mates I’ve been ..
Thanks mate
Hey Trev, again great advice especially the use of appropriate clothing and protection for the extreme heat and humidity plus the need to drink plenty of water. I did disagree about the drinking aspect though and seemed more applicable to people retiring there. For example a tourist is not going to limit his drinks at Pattaya to once or twice a week, but in saying that they shouldn't get smashed every night also. Lastly a great point about the three day rule and wish I knew about it back in the 80's. Found a bar girl on my first visit and still stuck with her today after 40 odd years.... what a mistake! lol
Thanks mate much appreciated
I was exactly like you when I first came to pattaya 32 years ago, I didn't have a clue what went on, just thought it was an ordinary beach resort, how wrong was I,also I've come to realise everyone(male friends) that I know that has little sly digs about me coming to Thailand are just jealous, they're all married or in relationships and are pissed off that they haven't got the freedom to do what I do. 😂😂
Yes. They're all jealous that they aren't paying women to pretend th like them, like you are.
@@DrFingers anything you say mate😉
@@garytate3075 good answer
@@DrFingers was it an answer?I wasn't aware that you'd asked a me a question.
Totally agree my friends back in the UK I can count on one hand how many of them are actually loyal to me
Sage advice mate, book your trip back is a great tip!! I’m in Thailand at the moment and already have return trip locked in keeping in mind I only went home in May!
Definetly get the date to aim at LOCKED IN!!
Nice one mate
HINT: Do NOT drink cold water, luke warm water is what you should drink.
Worked in Asia and Outback Aussie for 25 years. You cannot drink enough cold water.
Wow I love cold water
Outstanding from start to finish.
Thank you very much
2 videos at the same time from Buzzin this Saturday? Cozy beach and this one. How can we compete for first? 😃 1st on the other, 4th here!
sorry mate messed up
I think the Cosy Beach one disappeared !
You are right about the booking the next trip. I went for a month in June and i'm now heading back for 2 weeks in November. Next year I have 3 trips planned, flights already booked for March. With July and a 3 month trip in November to January '24 to book.
Nice one mate thank you for sharing
Should call it the 4 day rule. By the 4th day, everywhere you go, you see girls that look even better than the one you're with.
So true lol
Thanks Trevor for the update, hopefully the storms will pass soon
Fingers crossed
I prefer the 12 hour rule. Take'm for breakfast and pay them to leave. You fall out of love pretty quick when you see them in the cold light of day and watch how crappy they'll treat you when you don't let them sleep until 1 in the afternoon. They get pretty mercenary when you're walking back to your room for your morning nap and send them on their way.
You know that one my friend
I like your style 😉
When you made left after walking street up to second on the left was a massage place
2011 I was there , walking street from your pics has changed a lot.
I was there Jan to March
I loved the weather n ver crazy hot.
Cheers mate
Hi @Buzzin Pattaya Is that Discord invitation still valid? As I'm getting "Whoops... Unable to accept invite" when trying to join.

For warned is for armed, once again thank you for all your information Trev. Its nice to know that someone has got the backs of us newbies...
Forewarned, forearmed.
I stand corrected, thank you so much...
Just sharing stuff that maybe of interest
And it's very much appreciated...
It's currently 82 F in Pattaya and 93 in Central Florida. I was actually worried if I could handle the heat if I went to Pattaya. Sounds like a weekend skiing now.
Yeah you should be fine. Is Florida humid? If so its different kind of heat, it feels like a desert like your in a oven
Lol
Hizzle tbf thailand can at times be 100degrees or more with very high humidity.
@@bananaboi22 Yes it's very humid
Grèat advice, I've crashed on the 3 day rule, but so far she ain't asked for anything but when am I back! Still thanks for the video! Prefer Treetown to walking street, I also love Soi 7. Cant wait to get back!
Nice work mate
Currently in Pattaya and yes it's hot 🔥 as balls 1 second and storming the next. This is also my first in Thailand.
Nice one
Enjoy Dale 👍
Coming in December for my 5th visit .
Love your videos pal.keep them coming. Good work 👍
Thanks mate
hi trev yes the worst part is knowing have to go back home.you know i have a gf ..5 years ...me and nisa ..it hurts so much when have to leave her ..but i do what you said i make a date i be back whit her ... thats why i asked about how to live over there ..have a great day mate
Thanks for sharing your experience with us and yeah I know how ya feel mate
Great tips mate. I work in the offshore either 6/6 or 12/12 weeks on/off. That's the first thing I do when I get onboard, mark my calendar when crew change is and I can head back. 🤣🤣
Nice one mate thank you for sharing and see you when you get back soon
Me to, i put a calendar on the toilet door and ponder the flight date date
Relaxing, then take it to patts and be aware of departure, no shocks
is everything closed?
No mate
Humidity not heat. I was there in June and it was 90 and Phoenix was 115 but the humidity will make you sweat in 5 minutes. I fell in love 20 times a day. I’m retiring there in January. I only drank a few beers 3 times a week.
Gotch mate thank you very much
If you're easily depressed don't go to Pattaya. Simple
Ouch lol
Good one, thanx Trev ! Solid advice I would say !
Thanks mate
The best way to avoid being depressed about going home is not to go home lol. I'll be over in the next few months and I will be staying 😊
Haha know the feeling
Great video and thanks for the info..😁👍📹
Thanks mate
Hi i have a question 😊
Ive just been to Pattaya for the first time 3 weeks in July and i loved every minute of it! Im thinking about going back 3 weeks at Christmas/new year. Can anyone tell me if there is enough girls compared to tourists in this period? So many tell me its super busy its there is so many tourists. Hope someone can help me answer this 😊
plenty of girls, no problem in that department
Thank you James 😊🙏
Plenty
Lots on the menu 🤣😂
when i been on holiday to pattaya in the past the anticpation is massive first week great you do get a little lathargic then you realise you are going home in a few days and get back on the enjoyment train
Indeed mate
I visit Thailand every 12 weeks , I meet the same girl every time . Its good for me because I travel alone and don't really drink a lot . But I am not in love and understand the situation . I am happy in the uk but love my free time in Thailand. To be honest if you go in all the bars yes you will meet lots of beautiful girls . But they are all different and it's not that easy to find one that is a good match for you . This is why I stay with the same girl.
Nice one mate
the older we get the more we need less people in our lives....friends are with you when your down for the count as well....not just good times!
I can count on one hand how many genuine friends I have left
Thank you for sharing your experience with us sorry things took a turn for the worst
Trev, go out and exercise. Drink 1 bottle of cold water. Next time try warm water.3 bottles at least. You will save your life. Worked in 45C most of my life.
Thanks mate much appreciated
Thanks mate much appreciated
Take a good multi-vitamin and eat plenty of the fresh fruit that's available in order to replenish the potassium and other minerals you lose
from sweating.
Nice shout
Been back for a week now just shaking off the depression
Booked for March 😃
Hurry back mate
Well said mate
The ones who try to take the Piss are jealous and have usually never been further than Skegness, so Fuck em.
Mate I stayed single in Vietnam for 15 years so I know exactly what Advice your giving. Cheers. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Cheers mate
I used to think that every night was a Saturday night...apart from Saturday night!
