I made the foam ring planter this weekend and it turned out beautifully. Make sure to get the recommended paint and it turns out great. Have gotten so many compliments.
I’ve seen several diy planter ideas i want to try, but some of them look a little tippy. To fix this, fill the bottom bowl, vessel, etc., with some quik-set cement. Then assemble!
I had no idea those were foam wreaths. I thought you used some type of clay. It amazes me all the ideas you crafters come up with. Especially on the cheap. Keep the ideas coming.
That's my question too. Drain holes are a must for live plants. I'm sure the plastic will not be a problem, but I'm not sure the ceramic bowl would hold up. There are special drill bits to use on ceramic planters. They aren't real pretty but do the trick. I have done them on beautiful red ceramic planters. The holes won't be visible anyway, .
Omgosh! My first time watching your channel and I’m in love! Those planters are adorable! I’m so subscribing to your channel girl. PS: DrewScott dropped your name and here I am!
Love this!! Quick question- bought the stone spray paint a while ago and haven’t used it yet. Do you feel like the stone spray paint isn’t opaque enough by itself?
Kristin Gross right, yeah! It’s definitely a color, it’s like a light tan. But you’d need a zillion coats to fully cover. I just start with a base color i like and use it as a topper. And on my last project i sprayed white over it so i just had the texture without the tan color
I love these ideas!! I wonder if the money you save with the products from dollar tree is all for not because of the price of spray paint? Either way, thanks so much for sharing this. You’re very creative.
Thanks gal i would say start a small collection of paint - i like rustoleum 2x from Home Depot usually not more than $5 each - and you can use them for multiple projects. It evens out haha
@@PeonyandHoney Thanks! They aren't in Florida, however I'm going to see if they are possibly in Georgia or Texas by chance. That color is very limited even online! Appreciate your reply so much☺.
I hear you! I typically don’t include the cost of spraypaint in my projects because i assume most people will have a can or two lying around and if not, they’re $4 a piece at Walmart
the plant is in a nursery pot, I do this with my planters that have no hole in them. that way I can pull them out and let them drain when I water them so I don't get root rot lol.
That’s a good gotcha question haha but yeah most of them I already had, but if you were to purchase new - go to Walmart or Home Depot for best prices - some are just $4 each
These are so good! That foam ring planter is everything! I’m going to have to give that one a try!
Ashlee Shevonne aww thank you girl!!! Go for it!! Super easy!

Love the plant stand! How tall is the one you made?
it's around 14-16 inches tall!
Peony & Honey great thanks! I’m thinking of making one to use as a small side table :)
Katie Kirkendall oh how cute!!!
Very nice, thanks for sharing.
I like the foam planter but I like the others because of the stone finish
I love these ideas!! I wonder if the money you save with the products from dollar tree is all for not because of the price of spray paint? Either way, thanks so much for sharing this. You’re very creative.
Thanks gal i would say start a small collection of paint - i like rustoleum 2x from Home Depot usually not more than $5 each - and you can use them for multiple projects. It evens out haha
I would probably use rubber cement for stronger bonding
Beaut project ideas
So damn cute ☺️ love it.
Aww thank you!!!!
Love that inverted stone planter! Where did you get your Rustoleum Terracotta Spray? I can’t find it anywhere!
Aww thanks! I got mine from Menards but try amazon
Everywhere it’s out of stock. Wish these youtubers would share links 😭
Nickitahh i would’ve linked it but it was out of stock on amazon - i got mine at menards
Wow!! Amazing. Where do you buy most of your plants from?
Catherine Carroll aww thank you! Usually just my local nursery
Good 👍 job girl
So beautiful!! Where did you find buy the spray paint?
I usually get my spray paint on Amazon and/or Home Depot
Niceeee 🥰🥰🥰
Loved all of them! Could you please let me know which is the stone paint color used? Pebble or Bleached Stone? I was looking online and got confused
Lakshmi Priya aww thank you! It’s bleached stone!
@@PeonyandHoney Thanks a lot for your response!! It would be super helpful if you could provide the paint description or links along with the video.
Love them all!! Yes please make more DIY videos. Love your style - and love your Instagram feed. I’m @eyesofanowlaz just so you know! 😀
yay thank you so much Heidi!
Where did you find the Rust-Oleum Terracotta spray paint? It is just perfect for your project. I've never seen it in any of my local stores.
Meg Self i got mine from Menards!
@@PeonyandHoney Thanks! They aren't in Florida, however I'm going to see if they are possibly in Georgia or Texas by chance. That color is very limited even online! Appreciate your reply so much☺.
Meg Self ohhh try amazon or eBay!
What about the bottom of the planter? Did I miss that? Or is it a faux plant you used with no bottom?
I just put a plant in and a small drip plastic tray
very nice goodthimking thank you
Lovely 😘👍
Your Diy is very beautiful. I didn't like it very much 👍🌱👌🌿💖
Either light 🕯️ up or leave me alone 🎉
Great ideas but the paint costs money as well, so something to consider unless you’ve already got the paint lying around from other projects.
I hear you! I typically don’t include the cost of spraypaint in my projects because i assume most people will have a can or two lying around and if not, they’re $4 a piece at Walmart
wow youre pretty. just subscribed to your channel :)
Sooo smart
What do you put in the bottom of the foam planter to keep the dirt inside?
the plant is in a nursery pot, I do this with my planters that have no hole in them. that way I can pull them out and let them drain when I water them so I don't get root rot lol.
Hi where did you buy your stone spray paint
They carry it at Home Depot!
Would this work with chalk paint too?
Absolutely
I would probably glue the rings first and then spray paint🤷🏽♀️
❤
what did you place at the bottom of the foam planter that you made?
Hafsah Shaikh so i just kept my plant in its original pot and put a drip tray underneath it
@@PeonyandHoney thanks for the quick reply!
Hafsah Shaikh of course 🥰
Hey did you used real plant? Thanks.
Jenny Rodriguez yep!
Tat dress❤️
there are no drain holes!! how is this going to drain!!??
Babe, you simply keep the plant in its original plastic pot, and remove to water in the sink and let it drain there before placing back in.
Hey !!! Im a new subscriber and I craft too!!! I love the ideas! So creative💖! ! I would love to collab with you!
But how much did you pay for all the different spray paints that you used
That’s a good gotcha question haha but yeah most of them I already had, but if you were to purchase new - go to Walmart or Home Depot for best prices - some are just $4 each
Why not bowl and glass from a thrift store?
Either way! My thrift stores suck by me lol
Thrift stores are expensive nowadays.
