you should make a diy cage and fill it with diy stuff only, including wheel, bedding, toys, hideout, etc,

Even though I suck at DIY I want to try that for mine when I get one. Except the food and water won't be diy... (maybe the water bottle but the only diy one I've seen is terrible)

For my hamster we actually made a home made cage using a new 3 leveled portable shelf then wrapped chicken wire around the 3 sides for 2 levels made a door for the 4 side and pull wood slices on the bottom edge so that the bedding will not fall out and we shredded paper as bedding then for hide out I used a yogurt container ( I placed the container upside down with the cap on and made a hole at the edge then put some "bedding" inside and lastly for the toys I took a paper towel roll made a few holes and I took flour and water mixed them up then put the flour water mix on a popsicle sticks stuck on some sunflower seeds or other treets
Wow that was a lot 💤

I am planning on making a completely diy cage (bin cage, diy houses etc.) and this series is a huge help, the wheel might not be the best for me as my hamster are housed in my bedroom but the "silent" spinners aren't too silent anyway so...

Genius!!! I love it! You are so good.
I was in a pet store awhile ago just looking around. There was a family very interested in the Robos. I told them about my sweet Robo, Clementine. They started asking me questions. With watching your channel for so long, I could answer their questions and give some good advice. I told them about your channel and they were thrilled to know that there is such a great resource for them (and all of us). Thank you so much for helping us be better parents to our babies. ☺

with this the best way to stop it rubbing is useing 2 bolts on the gap between the stand and wheel witch gives it more spacing and it won't run then ☺

Only one thing I have to say is negative but not being mean at all the Long bolt in the back that is long that you screw a nut on it’s too long because if you put it in a cage that long bolt thing It’s going to be in the way and take up some space in your hamsters cage

  • @jenniferhouse1939

Use a soldering iron to make your holes. How I make my holes for my water bottles in the bin I just make sure not to do it too big and I've yet to have any trouble with a ham chewing through it or anything but I like to keep the water bottles on the outside that way I can access them without disturbing them

Hi Erin! I saw your video and the other day, I bought my Winter White RD a 6.5" Silent spinner. Now, I am on holiday and I don't know if her back will arch or not, and the only other option was a very big one ( I think it was 12"), which i don't think will fit comfortably in her cage without hitting the side and the roof. Also, there were a few barred and meshed ones, which I know are a no-no. Should I return the wheel? or should I test it out anyway.
Thanks so much, and you are sooooooo close to 100k!! Well done,

You can but most people don't use barred cages any more so the stand is useful for other cage types :)

Hi Erin! Amazing video! So I have a question. I use aspen shavings for all 3 of my hamsters. My question is. Can I dye the bedding using safe fruits and veggies!? I know food colouring is not safe so I thought I could use fruit. Is that ok? Would they eat it?

This makes about as much sense as dying your toilet paper. You get the award for dumbest thing I've read today!

You could probably put a few washers between the wood, and the nut next to the bolt. I think that would make it quieter🤔
