Our house burned down in April, and I had to rebuy all the clothes I had accumulated over the years. I'm finding that being more intentional about what I have in my wardrobe makes such an enormous difference. I was holding onto so many pieces that I just never wore! Thanks for this video it is so nice to see people have the same emotions and overwhelm when it comes to clothes!
It’s funny because I feel like I have watched you declutter your closet like 5 times but I still enjoy your declutter and organize videos the best haha
I also struggle with bloating and tummy ache for what I thought was no reason (other than IBS). It never crossed my mind it might be the waistband digging in, or other tight clothes aggravating the already delicate situation. Definitely going to have a look at my wardrobe now, thanks for the inspiration and honesty! 😍
I have just been diagnosed with vestibular migraine - dizziness, fuzzy head but not often headaches - and I found an amazing website which talked about IBS being abdominal migraine- which I didn’t know!! The information was written by consultant and professorial doctors who specialise in neurological disorders, balance etc. They explained that migraine is a neurological condition that can affect many parts of the body and how important it is to find the things that trigger it for you. I have always struggled with fixed waistbands even when I was slimmer so it’s a bit of a generic problem for me!!
You and The Minimal Mom are my favorite UA-camrs to watch! So much practical, real life motivation and encouragement! I am now planning to declutter my clothing today! I already have a pretty simple wardrobe but know there are things that I keep around that I don’t love so they are going to leave the house now!
YAY!!! Seeing clothes be gone through and decluttered and reused, is SO SATISFYING! We live on the road in an RV with our 8 CHILDREN! So we’ve had to master living minimalist!💖
Thank you for sharing how you are not allowing your clothing to impair your health, but rather let your carefully curated wardrobe serve you with comfortable, yet pretty fabrics and gently fitting your body. You are a beautiful young woman and have a gift for encouraging & inspiring people.
Hi Natalie, My name is Heather. I live in central Indiana. My husband and I have 3 wonderful kiddos. I work full time from home. I found you and your videos about a month or two ago. I have had a rough few years with the loss of my Dad in 2020 and we found out my mom had cancer right after that. I have a lot on my plate with taking care of my family including my momma. It's been really tough! You have inspired me and encouraged me and helped me move out of my depression and getting me going again. Just wanted to say, keep doing what you are doing! YOU ARE JUST AMAZING!! Sending love from your sister across the country! -❤- Heather
I appreciate your honesty about the waistbands. I can’t do those either and it makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only one! I always thought it was due to being a celiac but the abdominal tenderness and pain still isn’t completely gone. I’ve tried the low FODMAP diet and that did help but I couldn’t identify the triggers. I’d love to hear more of what you have learned regarding these issues.
I feel the same way! It's so nice to hear another woman talk about how difficult, actually, nearly impossible it is to wear pants with a fixed waistband! I thought I was the only one so it is a HUGE deal for me to hear someone else discuss this. So many fashion folks here on UA-cam don't take this type of situation into account when discussing "flattering" or "appropriate" styles. With Crohn's disease, it's not just about looking good but, more importantly, feeling good too! Thank you Chelsea and Natalie for being so open about this challenge! I would LOVE to see more content in general on fashion ideas that take abdominal pain into account.
I have a question for you have you thought about making a bin for whenever your abdominal migraines flare up? That way when they do flareup you can take that bin out and use it as your capsule wardrobe and put your other clothes that no longer working for you into the bed for when your abdominal migraines are under control. That way you don’t have to keep re-purchasing clothes when they’re not working for you.
This video was SO helpful for me! I've lived within a very minimal wardrobe just because of budgetary reasons. But I had recently been acquiring clothing that just...cluttered. getting real & getting rid of stuff!
Would love to see the outfits you create from these different pieces in a future video if possible! You have so many great pieces that pair well together, I think that’s where I’m struggling with my own wardrobe right now. I have pieces that I love but they aren’t very interchangeable. Hope your closet and capsule are bringing lots of peace and simplicity!
Perfect timing…I’m fixing to clean out my closet as well. Scared to death to get rid of stuff I do not use anymore nor do I fit in. I keep telling myself some day I may fit it again 🤦🏼♀️ great motivation
If you do lose weight later, getting rid of it will still have been okay! Say you lose weight 3 years from now... I'd personally rather have the extra space and peace of mind knowing everything fits for 3 years, rather than a cloud hanging over my head! I actually did lose weight at one point, but some of my "big" clothes still looked nice on me and I just replaced a few pieces from the thrift store. I've only ever missed 2 items of clothing and the space and energy has been more than worth letting them go. Good luck decluttering those guilty emotions. They're the real culprit!
I saw that you put up your video so I decluttered my closet today before I watched. We have soooo much hot weather here in SC that I have to keep more light clothing than heavy so I chose to do more than 33 items as I use them year round...and we have to change clothes 2-3 times a day because of the extreme humidity. It's crazy. But I definitely was able to declutter a lot of things that I just don't reach for anymore. Love your honesty and transparency ♥️
💖 I always leave this space feeling encouraged:) I’ve been feeling drab about my wardrobe lately but current financial/budget situations prevent me from buying new clothes. I feel really inspired to go through my inventory and get rid of the things that are tripping me up, put away the winter sweaters that are taking up space, and be grateful to the Lord for what I have with fresh eyes! Truly working with what I’ve got even if that just means rearranging for a new perspective!
I love and respect that you give credit to Project 333 and Courtney Carver!!! 👍🏻❤️ your closet looks fantastic and shoe rack looks way more functional, good job!
What I would love to see from folks doing the capsule wardrobe is how you put your outfits together. I don't mix and match well which then leaves me basically a pair of pants and a different top and my wardrobe is really boring.
Personally I keep my pants very basic, I have three pairs of jeans and three pairs of shorts that match all of my tops. I can basically just grab whatever 😊
Your bottoms might be boring. That way you can mix and match almost all your tops to them. I have the fun tops and accessories. My bottoms and shoes are more classic and neutral. My wardrobe base is Blues, creams, and camel tan. I have a colorful silk scarf that I can wear with almost everything. I'm a mom so my main bag is a orange dagne dover backpack. I use my toiletry 26 that is in my bag as my small purse. I use to have way more but I sold 12 bags. Try using a color wheel as well. Pinterest is also my friend.
It took me several years, but it definitely helped me revisit the closet regularly. These days I wind up with a sweet spot of about 40 pieces for my year round closet.
I so get clothing that provides comfort for health issues. I got Covid last year that caused liver and stomach issues so I have been shopping threw up for clothing that fits me and is comfortable. I now need to declutter but will create a bin for transition as my weight fluctuates when I have those weeks I cannot eat. It was so nice to hear you speak this and not feel so alone.
I pack my Holliday clothes with the coordinating Holiday decorations. Then the only come out during the month of that holiday & get repacked. It has helped me alot. 💖
I personally cannot live without my cardigans! They can make a tank top look pulled together, protect my skin from the sun without making me too hot, and they're so cozy to cuddle up on the couch with 🥰 #premierfam
Loved watching this video 🥰 Could you do a video where you show the outfits you can put together with the pieces you still have left? Would be very interessted in seeing you create outfits ☺️
I love having an interim bin lol I sometimes hate getting rid of some clothes… so being able to set in a bin and ignore it is great. My rule is I can’t keep getting new clothes unless I get rid of stuff (and DONT use it as an excuse to overspend). Sometimes it reveals items I need to get rid of because I didn’t miss it… or I find a new way to use an old piece (which I would have thrown away had I not had my bin). I have LOVED this idea through my pregnancies and postpartum new body. It allowed me to get the mess and anxiety out of my face… while having the freedom to decide later down the road. It stops quick irrational throwing away lol but different make me feel pressure to loose weight or keep forever. I just casually check each season and try to analyze if there’s anything that just needs to move on! Anyways … mom tummy and pants waist bands SUCK😝I don’t have pain but I definitely weave between bloating vs not😄 it can literally make items stop fitting or slide off.
The amount of internal rejoicing when I see you’ve uploaded another closet de-clutter 🥳🤩 also.. just had a Brambly Hedge read aloud time for the first time with my kiddos per your influence. The CUTEST oh my word. Thanks for doing what you do and encouraging other moms like me to enjoy our families and be clutter free at the same time. ☺️💕
I get ready for the gym in the dark as to not wake up my husband, so pairing down workout stuff was a must. I buy tank tops that have built in bras and shorts with built in briefs. 2 articles of clothing. Makes a huge difference. only enough for 6 days.
I always love your videos, but I had to stop and comment this time because you look absolutely ✨️RADIANT✨️! Not sure if you are doing some new skincare, the lighting in your closet is great, or your happiness is just shining through....😋 but seeing you so happy and glowing brought me so much peace tonight!
I just went through the same declutter 😭😭😭 my body is changing so much and had to say goodbye to a lot of clothing. This is so refreshing to know I’m not alone.
Hi Natalie, I also have a chronic illness that is triggered by tight clothing and I think I’ve been in denial about it for awhile because it’s hard to come to terms with, I’m definitely going to give my closet a much needed declutter after watching this video! I would love if you did a video on some of your favorite brands/ types of clothing that you find not only comfortable but fashionable as well for those of us who also can’t wear certain tight clothing, I find I have a hard time finding clothes that are both comfortable and don’t make me look like I’m lounging in my pjs 24/7
#premierefam A friend gave me a pair of madewell jeans that fit and feel perfect for me! I tried for years to find jeans that really work for me and a friend just had some sitting in her closet. If you ever needed more reason to declutter, just remember that your friend's perfect jeans might be stuck in your dresser or closet!
I love that you share your stomach issues. For the past year I’ve been experiencing stomach issues including pain, bloating, and nausea. After many tests, I was diagnosed with functional dyspepsia and I have to take 3 meds a day to try to manage it. I still have good days and bad ones. I’m only 42 and it feels like no one my age has these issues, I’m always the youngest person in the GI office. So I appreciate your sharing. Thank you.
Oh wow! Loving the long hair Nathalie, as always, you're absolutely stunning. Speaking of decluttering, I just did my wardrobe the other day. Didn't keep count because I have Indian formal wear so takes it over the 50 mark but still a pretty decent. As always thank you for inspiring me and keeping me on my toes. Much love 💕.
Hi! Love your video... I had the same issue with my stomach aches... turned out I am intolerant to gluten and lactose. Changing my diet saved my life, but also now, I only buy elastic band waist stuff and I feel great. Thanks for your originality. Sophie
Natalie, you have inspired me to clean out my closet. I have SO much clothes. Some that I also do not wear anymore but have “just incase”. It has put such a burden on me when it’s time to do laundry. I have piles and piles of clothes at times and not just because of me but also because of my kids. I get so overwhelmed. Thank you for the encouragement and motivation! Love your videos.
Whenever I watch your videos, I'm ALWAYS inspired to get to work around my house. Today, I finally let go of two pair of sneakers I have been wanting to donate but just hadn't for whatever reason. Thanks for the motivation!!
You inspired me. Yesterday I began a closet declutter. I cleared out about 50% in my drawers and maybe 1/4-1/3 in my closet. I want todo more but it’s a start. I feel so much less stressed today. Thanks.
I had to take stock of the clothes I actually wear regularly in my closet. I didn't include anything for church, and came up with 19 pieces (tops, shorts, and one pair of flip flops) that I rotate through in the summer. I live in North Texas, so jeans and long sleeves are out until at least late September, if not October. I'm stunned. It's time for me to actually go through everything and make my closet a happy place again. Thank you for the nudge in that direction. BTW - I paused the video at 6:05 to look and comment.
I’m so thankful you share your challenges with clothing in regards to your chronic illness. You’re the only youtuber I know that I can relate to in this way. I have a chronic illness and my weight can change very drastically so for financial reasons I need to keep so many more clothes because I never know what size I will be for each season that year. This year, I can only wear about 1/4 of my summer wardrobe. So it’s like a ‘forced’ capsule. I’m learning to just accept this is just how it is for me right now and not resent how many clothes I need to keep.
💖 thank you for another video that is a blessing. It isn't easy having to face those pieces of clothes that I have worn when my body was at it's best. Letting go isn't easy, thanks to your video, you are helping me to learn that those clothes aren't serving a purpose for me anymore because I am not able to wear them, also every time I open my closet I have to keep making that decision, so now I am just doing it. Time to make room for things that fit me now. Holding on to those past items are preventing me from the life I can live now with clothes that fit me better now. My closet can't have room if I am still holding on to those things that don't fit right. Thank you for helping me see.
I'm not aiming for a certain number, but I am decluttering my wardrobe with the goal of being realistic with myself. I struggle with chronic pain, my body has changed, and some things just aren't working anymore. I've already purged well over 20 items and still have a ways to go (it's a long process as I have limited "spoons"). Anyway, this was just the motivation I needed to keep going! 💖
I first started with a 10 piece vacation capsule then went to the 333 for a whole year and now I’m trying a base wardrobe of about 15 pieces and a 10 piece seasonal capsule. I haven’t decided yet which I like the best.
Such good motivation as I’m packing to move! Suggestion for you, not sure if you’ll see this because I’m behind on your videos. You might like the Chrissy jeans from CJLA. They are SO stretchy, just as comfortable as a pair of leggings. Not as comfortable as your drawstring pants but maybe somewhere in between those and less stretchy jeans.
Okay, just went through my disaster of a closet. I have 7 denim pants, one black dress slack, one long black dress, one colorful dress, numerous black graphic t-shirts (which I put aside since it is too hot for black here in West Texas), 2 graphics tees, a tank-top, one flowery top, and 4 comfortable solid tops. I got my winter stuff packed away earlier last month. While I was at it, I put all of my soft suitcase and soft tote bags (that I use for traveling) into the 30 inch rolling duffel bag. Changed out my footer blanket to a long shawl I had crocheted about 10 years ago. I wish I can share pictures!
Natalie, check out the brand Liverpool, the Gia Glider denim. They are pull on stretch denim, I am a “young” mom too. These jeans and shorts are comfortable and don’t cut in like buttons.
I agree with all of your philosophy and love you sharing your experience! I just want to share that I think having restrictions on what you can comfortably wear actually makes decluttering and being selective much EASIER not harder. You have a constant painful reminder not to wear certain things. You can't fool yourself forever that it doesn't work for you. 😉 Anyway, it turned out beautifully. It is really satisfying when everything just works in your closet! All the best.
Hi Natalie, I myself have chronic illnesses, so totally understand about jeans. I have found that jogging are a life changer for me, they don’t cause the problems with dexterity and stomach issues. Also you can go up a size and that gives you extra room if bloating is giving you a bad day. All the best xx❤
I also struggle a lot with abdominal migraines from CVS! I found Liverpool Los Angeles jeans really good for me, they are very stretchy and easy to get on and off.
💖Hi Natalie I loved this… I’ve been re evaluating my wardrobe….and comfort at my age with body shape changes ( nearly55 menopausal but petite 😱) so glad the high waisted jean is back and if it is elastic waisted extra bonus ! With what you have shared I’m will continue with your ideas in mind. Thank you! 🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
I love the linen blend shorts AND shirts from Old Navy. They are the only thing I wear in the summer because IYKYK. And NO, I agree they should not have changed them up.
Natalie 💖 Have just paused the video to say: I don’t know what underwear & bras you prefer but from one chronic pain suffering mamma to another, have you tried Knixwear? They’re a Canadian (I think!) women owned and run company that are inclusive and that make undergarments for all stages of life. I’ve used their stuff through pregnancy, in between and beyond. Their pieces last ages and on top of being comfy they give a really good shape (think comfort of a bralette but shape and support of a ‘proper bra’). I hope this helps and have to thank you for speaking so openly & honestly about the impact of chronic pain on your day to day life; because of your gentle encouragement I sold a pair of boots that weren’t working for my joint pain last winter and bought some that I instead wore everyday without pain! You helped me to remember that I shouldn’t be beating myself up for trying to find things that my body physically needs. Thank you! 😘
Thanks for the video! I really like the concept of a capsule wardrobe, have some pinterest inspo but always had big trouble making one in real life. This year, as we welcomed a refugee at home, we had to get just the minimal clothes to our bedroom and leave the rest in the guestroom where our refugee sleeps. Turns out, I used just the same pieces all the time without any problem. I didn't count but it s basically a one week luggage and it works just fine, I am not missing anything. So I will keep this in mind when she moves out and we can use our wardrobe again
Thank you for talking about chronic illness! I hve chrons and i have the exact same issues with anything gripping even lightly on my torso vra straps underwear bands waistbands on pants even loose pants i have loose linen ones for the times when i need pants but even those really hurt after a while and trigger my belly whethwr their up like an old grandpas to my chest or low as possible on my hips my body just does not tokerste anything like that. So i live in oversized shirts, shirt dresses and maxi dresses ive always been modest so my clothes have always covered me and been looser anyway but ive become even more so with chrons and wear singlets as i did pre puberty to cover my chest and all my dresses are long so i dont need to worry about weating modern underwear no style cut or material has worked they all trigger flares. Unfortunately as a female i need to wear modern underwear once a month for a week which is such a bad time for my body anyway that loose old underwear is the least of my problems haha. So im very much victorian era edwardian era "underwear" aka a shift/chemise and the maxi dresses i wear have at most come in under my chest not enough to touch my skin or band but to be flattering and not just a giant pillowcase of a person 😂 i also instead of pants have been wesring thigh high socks when im cold or may have to lit my maxi dress up to my knees to do something cleaning gardening whatever it is. I also dont bend over anymore and compress my tummy i squat straught down instead or am upright on my knees (like gardening so i got knee pads) i also put everything i use at heights wesr idont hand to bend over like raised garden beds at hip to waist high or in the kitchen everything below the bench is non existent to me haha id rather use a step stool to get something up high than bend. I also have found that diet even as healthy as i was like athlete level healthy played a part in my body because thise healthy foods like fiber or hard to digest things or startches werent healthy for me so i started SCD or specific carbohydrate diet i imagine id be good for anyone for a try but specifically its aimed at chrons ulcerative colitis and celiac and other digestive issues AND autism and other behavioural issues. Within a week my energy jumped a lot my bloating lessend quite dramatically i know longer had that heavy sorta outward pressure and tenderness which had become the norm for me AND i just overall felt good like i didnt realise how bad my normal was until i stopped feeling like that granted my illness isnt miraculously cured overnight and my tummy still cant handle bending or anything on it but the difference even early and seemingly as small as it might seem outwardly is like heaven and hell for me. Even my migraines and feeling like i constantly had to pee because of the pressure lessened so much. I will say ive never been a jean wearer before i even was diagnosed with chronic illnesses i got motion sick bad and had a weak tummy in general very picky eater but everytime i did try wearing jeans it killed westher they were dtretchy and basically leggings or were high waisted or whatever UNTIL i found some lee cooper mens denim overalls and OMG it was insane because its held up on your shoulders it feels like wearing a dress and i could do everything i wanted to in pants and have the top under a jumper so they looked less farmer if i wanted haha and because the front is super loose and doesnt lay on your belly a full term pregnant woman could wear them honestly but it also means no worrying about bloat or anything and you can fit right in the garden with them or put in nice shoes and a jumper and go out dinner like its SOOO good like check out overalls for any pants wearing stuff oh mine is the bib kind that covers your chest and back too. So not the suspenders type kind more like the cute ones you see babies wearing or maybe amish people haha but farmers too so its not a style for everyone but you can make it for you so yeah i also tried a belly band the japanese style ones thinking that may help its didnt it was like wearing tight leggings over my entire tummy. I cant do tight clothing any pressure on my body even if its not my tummy feels awful for me thankfully i live in a sunshine state in australia so i can live in maxi dresses year round just with a wool jumper over me and knee high boots on in winter haha but maxi dresses or even knee length dresses you should really try if you have the same issues with clothing as i do theyve been a godsend and i feel so pretty and feminine in them and you can find so many pretty patterns and make them to suit you if you cant find anything modest or your style in stores. I prefer long sleeves anna of green gables kind and a sweetheart modest neckline with a lightly frilled/scalloped edges like broderie anglaise sort of style or a ruffle nd solid darker colours so theyre timeless and not so busy or loud like royal blue or hunter green or wine red. Mostly i love white since it goes with anything and i feel all greco roman or princessy haha but you just gotta find your core colours that suit your skin eye and hair tone and go with eachother and yeah build your wardrobe from there. And know youre not alone with clothes and chronic illness issues! 💖💖💖
I had to stop the video to comment I love your hair length and layers right now it's super flattering and you look healthy qnd tan and just glowing! Also love the video! Declutter mama of 3, 5 years and under 🥰❤
You've inspired me! I want to try the 333 method. Never done it, but want to try. Every time you post a house decluttering video, I always end up declutter one small area of my home ... and I love it! Thanks so much. I love your channel.
I love closet clean out videos. I struggle with continuing to love items as I grow and my style changes. I really need to reign it in when I’m out of pregnancy season. I picked casual comfy pieces that will grow with me instead of maternity specific clothing. I want to find pieces from online boutiques or local stores and really try to find timeless pieces and find quality styles. Thank you as always Natalie for inspiration 💖 Had to edit to add I’ll be 29 in a couple of months. Approaching my 30s and being a new CPT with a more muscular body than I used to have I feel a little overwhelmed when I buy clothes. I noticed I’ve had a harder time lately to feel like I have “enough”. I need a fresh start with my wardrobe and post pregnancy will be a good excuse to do it!
I love a good capsule wardrobe! I aim around 30 pieces as well but I don’t count my shoes haha. Though I don’t have a ton of shoes. I pretty much wear the same shoes everyday. But I’m currently pregnant so I’m trying to be gentle with myself, and not even count because if it fits and makes me feel good than it can stay. I’m looking forward to making a postpartum capsule! I love your capsule thanks for showing yours!
As someone with a skin-based chronic illness, I appreciate your honesty about things how materials impact whether or not it "flairs up" when we want it to the least. We just bought new IKEA bed furniture (yay....I think!) so hopefully that helps with our summer into fall declutter!
I started using tops like those ribbed ones you donated as winter pyjamas and loungewear once they werent items I wanted to wear out anymore. Really comfortable to sleep in and no need to purchase new pjs.
Great inspiration here! I love seeing a big declutter pile, too. My favorite things in my wardrobe right now are midweight cotton drawstring elastic shorts with pockets (actually Gap mens from Sam’s club) functional for hot summer days but presentable enough to be worn out of the house. #premierefam
I am so glad to hear someone else talk about the chronic pain. I have jra (now called jia) and it’s been 20 years. Buttons frustrate me with my hands, but the waistbands are horrible.
Loved this video. I never wear denim either, it felt weird at first - giving it all away and only wearing pants or dresses, but guess what, no one has ever noticed or commented. Only wear clothes that make you feel good because no one else is really even paying attention.
💖 Great inspiration here! I also struggle to find skirts that suit me, I'm 5ft tall. I'd love to see another video of how you put your outfits together xx
Just a heads up for comfy cotton men’s shorts that are perfect for women looking for comfort an not bad looking either. I found them at Walmart on clearance for 2$. Not sure the sale or selection is at your Walmart but they’re absolutely perfect
Hi Natalie! I always love watching you declutter, especially your closet!! I wish I had that much will power! I just wanted to toss an idea out there, b/c I understand about how clothes can make your stomach upset. I was introduced to Carol Tuttle (through Erica Lucas on You Tube) who came up with the idea that based on your personal energy, your clothing can reflect your energy. Long story short, with her personal style recommendations, most folks should not wear black... sounds crazy, I know. But I have to say, it has made a HUGE difference in how my stomach feels. I used to be someone who had to drink Pepto Bismol every morning (Sorry, TMI), but i stopped wearing black, especially as my daily work pants, and it is amazing, the difference that I feel. I am just trying to toss an idea your way, it has made such a difference for me, I hope maybe it can help you. Maybe just try not wearing black for a little while and see? I just wish I would have found this out a while ago, LOL!!! Thank you for being a calm and encouraging voice on You Tube!!!
I think I am going to try that. I seem to wear the same shorts and tees everyday. So why have so many clothes in my closet. My closet is smaller, I don’t have any dressers in my closet. But I could get rid of a lot of things. I still have long sleeve shirts in my closet. So they’re in a different part. I’m good about getting rid of things. I have a lot of grandkids that take my cast offs. They would take everything I have in my closet. But I think this would work great for me. It’s what I normally wear anyway. Mine might be as small as yours. But I’ll be happy to walk into my closet.
I also love super comfy clothes and have recently found the most comfortable bras EVER! They are Ubras One Size Fits All, wireless. I got mine on Amazon and can't say enough about them. Love your videos!
Your last clothing declutter video was a blessing to me and this one is as well! Thank you for speaking the truth about body issues… This was a blessing to me.
I'm such an out of sight out of mind person. I used the seasonal bin method for much longer than was practical for me. I figured out that being in a state that has all 4 seasons in one day all the time... I need multiple layers all the time. Plus I work outside so I have more durable field clothes but then also have my "cute" clothes. But my problem was I found myself buying way too much stuff for the off season stuff while it was on sale because I had forgotten everything that was in my seasonal bin. So now I have everything I own in my closet at once organized by season and color and it works so well now.
You have come so far. I remember your earlier wardrobe clean outs. This amount looks amazing from my perspective. I know you will find life so much easier with so much less clothes. Good luck.....
💖 living out of a Suite-Case since April really opened my eyes that I really do Not need as much as i was thinking. I do Not want to Go Back. Sometimes you need this Aha-Moment.
So random but in the intro where you are pointing at the gangers counting the clothes and your finger matches the beat of the song perfectly- that was SO satisfying to watch hahaha. little editing moments that I notice and appreciate
Good for you Natalie, i know I've too many clothes, i clean houses for my job n have separate clothes for that ans another wardrobe for my weekend / holiday clothes x
💓💖Can I just say instead of bingeing sermons and re-bingeing The Chosen here I am. Lol because this is so necessary 😂. Everyone needs to know how to declutter their house. Thank you Natalie!!!!!!
Omg a few things you decided to donate I wish I could have popped my head in the phone n said I'll take it! Those thin long sleeved shirts soo my kinda style :-)
💖 your closet turned out very nice. I have to say I was happy when I saw that you didn't toss my favorite shirt! Infact you had it on at the very beginning of the video... you looked like you were having a fantastic day ( very pretty) with health and all. I know all about clothes adjusting to us for comfort. Since my back surgery I can't wear what I use to that's for sure. Thanks for the video and your time doing it for us all! Have a great week!!
Chessy from parent trap is my ultimate wardrobe goals.
🙌🙌🙌
Same
That’s hilarious and so relatable! 😂 Such a great movie too!!
Jessie?
@@thosewhowander5815 Chessy is her name!
Our house burned down in April, and I had to rebuy all the clothes I had accumulated over the years. I'm finding that being more intentional about what I have in my wardrobe makes such an enormous difference. I was holding onto so many pieces that I just never wore! Thanks for this video it is so nice to see people have the same emotions and overwhelm when it comes to clothes!
omg girl i’m sorry! glad u got thru it safe
It’s funny because I feel like I have watched you declutter your closet like 5 times but I still enjoy your declutter and organize videos the best haha
Well I do it 3-4 times a year so that makes sense!
Same here! It is making me think that maybe I am also being triggered by the tighter waist band. Especially thinking about those mom Jeans! 🤔
I have just been diagnosed with vestibular migraine - dizziness, fuzzy head but not often headaches - and I found an amazing website which talked about IBS being abdominal migraine- which I didn’t know!! You and The Minimal Mom are my favorite UA-camrs to watch! So much practical, real life motivation and encouragement! I am now planning to declutter my clothing today! I already have a pretty simple wardrobe but know there are things that I keep around that I don’t love so they are going to leave the house now!
Agree! Love the real life stuff and not a bunch of “hauls” and trend chasing.
I second this request!
Well I know someone with migraines and she wears tight jeans!
She said stomach migraines, so pain in the stomach area, which probably comes with bloat too.
The GAPS diet protocol has helped me immensely with stomach pain and bloat!
Your comments about learning NOT to delay decisions really spoke to me. It’s something I’m battling!
Yeah I don’t have by season I have just all in and I agree. About 40.
@@teliciamckee9477 how long did it take to get there? And have you found that your wardrobe has still fluctuated a lot since then?
I so get clothing that provides comfort for health issues. I got Covid last year that caused liver and stomach issues so I have been shopping threw up for clothing that fits me and is comfortable. I now need to declutter but will create a bin for transition as my weight fluctuates when I have those weeks I cannot eat. It was so nice to hear you speak this and not feel so alone.
I pack my Holliday clothes with the coordinating Holiday decorations. Then the only come out during the month of that holiday & get repacked. It has helped me alot. 💖
I don't have many but I do this too. 😁
@@jennylhenry78 I dont have alot either. Mostly socks! Except for Christmas I have a few sweatshirts. It is just easier for me.
I personally cannot live without my cardigans! They can make a tank top look pulled together, protect my skin from the sun without making me too hot, and they're so cozy to cuddle up on the couch with 🥰
#premierfam
Same I too love my cardigans! 💜
Loved watching this video 🥰 Could you do a video where you show the outfits you can put together with the pieces you still have left? Would be very interessted in seeing you create outfits ☺️
Love that you see why you’re getting rid of stuff. It helps not repurchasing it again.
You are looking so tan at the moment! Looking so gorgeous! Thanks for all your videos, love them. Definitely need heaps of the kittens!
You inspired me. Yesterday I began a closet declutter. I cleared out about 50% in my drawers and maybe 1/4-1/3 in my closet. I want todo more but it’s a start. I feel so much less stressed today. Thanks.
Your wardrobe declutter videos are the absolute best!! I also love seeing a huge donation pile. It's so satisfying to me 😍
The closet videos are my favorite of all the decluttering ones! ❤️ can't wait!!
Thanks for encouraging us to embrace where we’re at in life and in healthy and arranging our lives and clothes to support that
I had to take stock of the clothes I actually wear regularly in my closet.
Oh wow I completely understand about the wardrobe struggles and chronic pain!
Yes!!! Wow, weird. Just watched that movie with the kids last night and thought the same thing 🥰
Just checked, and I meant Jeggings, not joggers.. sorry 😂
Thank you! 🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
💖 your honesty is encouraging and it's giving me motivation to look at my clothes again
I relate to this so much! I’m in the middle of the worst flare up I’ve ever had and it has definitely changed how I get dressed in the morning.
Love Dawn from Minimal Mom. Listen to her all week, whenever she's on.
Thank you as always Natalie for inspiration 💖
Had to edit to add I’ll be 29 in a couple of months.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who can't handle the waist band of jeans! Every pair of bottoms I own are stretchy-banded
Lol I was married in 2012 and bought those same tan sandals for our engagement photos! And I still wear them too!
💖 I have to admit, you have the best music selection!! It’s by far my favorite for any UA-camr I watch 😊
I used to think I was type 4 but was clue bombed as a type 3. The energies of colors we put on our bodies really makes a difference!
Thank you! This was the kick in the butt I needed to declutter some fantasy self things from my closet.
I like how you have all of your items in your closet. That is such a goal of mine.
I TOTALLY understand your struggles with clothing and chronic illness! So sorry you’ve been experiencing another flare-up, but know you’re not alone💗
I'm excited to declutter my closet now. I live in Arizona so what I wear most of the year are summer clothes.
I just started the video.. but you look RADIANT
Yes Natalie, love making my decluttering pile get higher and higher. It makes me feel so good!! :)))😃
Fellow married in 2012 and yes, I totally had those sandals in gold and wore the heck out of them at our reception and our honeymoon. The memories!
Ya girl, it's how YOU feel in something - I have similar challenges with clothes and functionality...you are an inspiration 👌
Good luck.....
i am cancer patient and i totally understand when you talk about how the clothes fit and feel. it can be triggering ❤️
Your hair looks beautiful! I love it long
Good for you Natalie, i know I've too many clothes, i clean houses for my job n have separate clothes for that ans another wardrobe for my weekend / holiday clothes x
Great help
I’m cleaning my closet today youre video helped a lot already feeling way happier !
I am on vacation for the next 2 weeks and a closet declutter is on my To Do list. Can't wait!!
