Thanks a lot, Susie. I'm a bit unhappy these days, had to bury my last dog july 31. Was totally fine again, then got a twisted stomach and i went to the wrong doctor, lost too much time. Was a sunday.
New hobby shop is still a mess.

I tried using translation in the closed captions. It was interesting... not accurate, but gave me some idea. What is the valve for ?

      That was interesting.
I didn't even know for decades that the VW Transporter, built from 1979 to 1989, had a valve in the breathers of the two overflow tanks.
This valve, when upside down, closes by means of a float that is held in suspension by a spring in the normal position, so that tank ventilation is possible.
When the overflow tank gets full, maybe on a very hot day in the parking lot after filling gas to the brim, fuel lifts the float, closing the tank vent, so nothing spills.
And when the car is on the roof, the valve is closed anyway.
That was the time when the tank could breathe freely into the air.
      That's not so any more.
This unknown valve was discussed in a forum, so i decided to invest extra work and look for it on my project car, to find out, how it works.
But 500 views, 10 likes only.
      That's, what you get.

I think about just showing, not speaking in such videos.
Or maybe just take the extra time and type english subtitles in.

@@werner.x There are a lot of reasons for people not to click the like. Some people don't think of it, some people watch on a phone where it may not be obvious how to, so people watch on autoplay where it skips to the next video so they forget to, and some people watch on full screen on a computer and don't think to because the button is not visible and then just click on the next video.
I sometimes mention liking and subscribing in my videos, for this reason. Even if people do like, they can easily forget or not bother. I forgot to click the like until you said that, even though I did for the other videos.

@@werner.x That's a lot of effort to type subtitles ...

      I fear that.
      It's not ideal either.
One eye up , watching the action, one eye down to understand it, makes a weird face.
