I agree with you Terri! The Lord is THE driving force in Fr. Mark’s life! I hasten to add though, that I like to think the Lord is the driving force in all priests lives/videos, but I’m speaking from my own experience in that the Lord has particularly helped and inspired me through Fr. When I was a young child, in the early sixties, there was a house fire in our small village within the parish territory. Somehow mom found out. She held my hand as she walked towards the man whose house was on fire. When she stopped I hid behind her legs but very intently peered out to watch the scene unfold. There were other ladies there who I recognized from my church, and the firemen. The man I did not recognize, and he was still in his night clothes. He was pacing and swearing at everyone, waving the cooing women away. They were offering a blanket, some water, something to eat. He didn't want anything to do with them because they were from the church, Catholic yet. They cooed to him that it didn't matter, that they could see he was upset, and why, and they were there to help and so he wouldn't have to go through it alone. Finally he settled down and put the blanket around his shoulders, accepted some water, and got into one of their cars to finish settling down. That's when Mom and I left. What a wonderful memory of parish life!! I left the church when I was 18 with Jesus and my Holy Catholic Bible. By decades later he had managed to lead this sheep into an evangelical protestant church. I began having thoughts that my mission was "community development", and was assigned one of the pastors to help me discern this. In the meantime the Lord moved this shy woman into the city, into street ministry. I realized in doing so he was showing me more about my mission of community development. He had me walk and pray, block after block. I would talk to Him later in prayer about what I had noticed, and write down where help might be needed, and what kind of help. 2 years later he led this lost sheep back into the arms of His Mother, and the full deposit of faith. When I realized that all the blocks He had me to walk were within my parish territory, I realize that He was not leading me into community development, but rather into parish territory ministry. It didn't have to be that way. In 2012ish He gave me the mission statement, which seems complex at first. And then in 2016ish He gave me five writings that form a sort of blueprint for the mission. But the very first and most important thing to fully understand is that the foundation of the mission begins with parish territory ministry. And that begins with praying over and walking the entirety of the parish territory. All mission begins with prayer. Most recently His Mother has given to me first to pray the rosary, which I can do at home or in the car. And then to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet as I walk, one bead for every entity I perceive. An entity being a house, business, green space, entire block, travelers, workers, etc. I typically go through the chaplet three to five times in the 3pm hour. For future reference I note what I walked by on my parish map so as to better see where help may be needed, and what kind of help. I have met homebound and institutionalized people who have no one to lead them to Jesus through Mary, and no one to offer them sacraments. Therefore this mission is on 'pause' until a very supportive bishop and priest are located. It is not a new mission, remember, we were doing it in the '60s. And Vatican II never negated it, as I have read all of Vatican II's writings, as well as the catechism. Furthermore, even Cannon Law still fully supports it. Viva Cristo Rey!

Most if us never know our mission. We come to the days, where we wonder what's our purpose? Sometimes your purpose may have gone unknown and your mission completed, unbeknownst to us. Remember Saint Mother Theresa went thru dry spells for a long time not feeling a special feel. She persevered none the less.

Reminds me of English missionary priest visited our church who has helped Street Children in South America for decades. He was Church of England yet helping out in Catholic missionary charity so after he was ordained as Anglican priest he converted to Catholicism and became RCC priest. In our 80s, our mission is to be prayer warriors. We attend daily Mass and pray lots of rosaries, We make Adoration Holy Hours when we can. We believe this is our mission.
I'm in my 40's, and I've received prayer as a mission, during the last two years. I love the Holy Mass, attend every time it's offered, love Adoration of the Eucharist, and can't imagine living without praying the Most Holy Rosary! 30+ years ago the scales fell off my wife’s and my eyes and we KNEW God existed and we felt called to do something. We prayed for God to show us our mission in life (tho not in those words). Three years later, God answered our prayers and we were led, by God, to give homes to kids who had none. I’m thinkin’ we’re done, but today we count 8 kids as our own (which has led to 7 grandkids). Certainly not an easy 30 years, but... It’s a Wonderful Life!

Uniquely Mary channel covers Purgatory🛑: I recommend being an intercessor on Earth for the Poor Souls in Purgatory as well as conversion of Our friends/families and all sinners. 🛑Perhaps better word is offering devotions and penance for their sins. Our Lady told the Children at Fatima that these Poor Souls have no one to pray for them. If You Love God then you will want to help them through, prayer, fasting and other penance. Padre Pio had visions of them. If we go to Purgatory first then if they become saints in Heaven their prayers will be powerful in reducing our time there. God bless. ❤🙏

Fr. Mark have you heard of Sr. (Mother) Elvira who started the Cenacolo community for those with addiction (its not a rehab). This has been her mission. There are now Cenacolo houses all over the world, many souls have been saved. Quite a few of the ex addicts joined the community and are priests, nuns and missionaries, others are living good lives back in society. St Elvira lives in Italy and is in her 80's I think, but she is the embodiment of a living Saint, very much along the lines of Don Bosco. 🙏🙏

This is such a great message Father! I'm so glad you preached it. :) So many people feel like they have to "find themselves." My thoughts are, "you were never lost in the first place." So many young people, just crying out to "know themselves." Only the Lord can show us personally, WHO we are, and WHY we are here. It is in knowing that mission, where we have total peace, and can live every day in the present moment. You have said so many times, how important it is to cultivate a spiritual life, to really know God, to hear Him speak in His words (holy scripture), or reading about the lives of the Saints, (throwing another log on the fire) tending to the fire, keeping your spiritual life going. These sermons, and videos are really important, and just what I need to hear. I have grown so much in the past year, and just felt my spiritual life deepen, and I've had a peace that never goes away. Keep listening to the Lord, and doing all that you do. These videos are so vital. I started a prayer group in my house, one evening a week. We put you on our prayer board. I found Jesus when I was 50yrs old was an on off Cathlic. Im 70yrs and have practicing my faith since 50 am still looking for my purpose. I staarted going to Latin Mass. Not looking anymore!!! Jesus is every for all of use but in different ways. Have not been to regular Mass but will and I will see Jesus there. He is in the Bread of Life no matter what mass you go to. Everyone's mission is to Love. Each of us only owns our actions. Everything else is not owned, but temporarilly used. Love is an action and Love is God. So Love in everything and you will go to heaven.

He prayed a lot every day.When he woked up during the night, he used to pray the rosary. My parent'house was robberyed in January,2020. Moments before my father was sleeping, but woke up and was praying the rosary when the bad men arrived. They hit my father. After a week, my father had generalized infection, he was diabetic. After 27 days of suffering my father passed away. He died in the vigily night of Saint Mary of Lourdes, in the Saint Escolastic day. I was diagnosticated with low fertility in 2019, i said to my father and asked him to pray for It. After 3 months of my father death (May 2020) , i was praying the rosary and i asked to our Mother Virgin Mary to dream about my father, to give him a hug and to know if he was needing prayers. After 3 days, i dreamed about my father, and in the place appeared some babys stuffed. In that moment i was preparying myself to be consagrated to the Virgin Mary in my birth day 13 july by the Saint Louis Grignion the Montfort method. In August, i started the Saint Michael Arcanj Quaresm and i my doctor said to me and my husband that i had to go to a human reproduction clinic. Me and my husband went to the place and the doctor said that we had Just 3 months to try getting pregnancy. Well, 3 weeks after the appointment, in the week that i finished the quaresm of Saint Michael Arcanj, in the Angel guard day specifically we realized that i was pregnanty. In the 35 pregnancy week, i had pre eclampsy and had to go and stay at the hospital. My dear son Michael, Who we call in Brazil Miguel arrived on May 13, 2021. A year after the dreaming about my father and in the day of our Mother of Fátima Who i asked for the grace dreaming about my father. I had some complication after giving birth of my son, and i had to stay more 12 day at the hospital. So, i leave the hospital on May 25th 2021 - The birth day of Saint Padre Pio, my intercessor Saint. Sorry, for the long text, but my testemonial was to give the example of people like my father, a wonderful intercecssor here and in haven. Thank you Priest Mark, i love to hear you and to find your chanell at UA-cam was a very good surprise and gift of our Lord Jesus Christ and of Our Mother Mary.
Just one more detail. The doctor of the human reproduction clinic said that we had Just 3 months to try getting pregnant by ourselves, and IF we did not get It we would have to start a reproduction treatment. But, It was not necessary. Our big miracle just was arriving. Thank you my Lord Jesus Christ! Viva Cristo Rei!

When I was a young child, in the early sixties, there was a house fire in our small village within the parish territory. Somehow mom found out. She held my hand as she walked towards the man whose house was on fire. When she stopped I hid behind her legs but very intently peered out to watch the scene unfold. There were other ladies there who I recognized from my church, and the firemen. The man I did not recognize, and he was still in his night clothes. He was pacing and swearing at everyone, waving the cooing women away. They were offering a blanket, some water, something to eat. He didn't want anything to do with them because they were from the church, Catholic yet. They cooed to him that it didn't matter, that they could see he was upset, and why, and they were there to help and so he wouldn't have to go through it alone. Finally he settled down and put the blanket around his shoulders, accepted some water, and got into one of their cars to finish settling down. That's when Mom and I left.
What a wonderful memory of parish life!!
I left the church when I was 18 with Jesus and my Holy Catholic Bible. By decades later he had managed to lead this sheep into an evangelical protestant church. I began having thoughts that my mission was "community development", and was assigned one of the pastors to help me discern this.
In the meantime the Lord moved this shy woman into the city, into street ministry. I realized in doing so he was showing me more about my mission of community development. He had me walk and pray, block after block. I would talk to Him later in prayer about what I had noticed, and write down where help might be needed, and what kind of help.
2 years later he led this lost sheep back into the arms of His Mother, and the full deposit of faith.
When I realized that all the blocks He had me to walk were within my parish territory, I realize that He was not leading me into community development, but rather into parish territory ministry.
It didn't have to be that way.
In 2012ish He gave me the mission statement, which seems complex at first. And then in 2016ish He gave me five writings that form a sort of blueprint for the mission.
But the very first and most important thing to fully understand is that the foundation of the mission begins with parish territory ministry. And that begins with praying over and walking the entirety of the parish territory.
All mission begins with prayer.
Most recently His Mother has given to me first to pray the rosary, which I can do at home or in the car. And then to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet as I walk, one bead for every entity I perceive. An entity being a house, business, green space, entire block, travelers, workers, etc. I typically go through the chaplet three to five times in the 3pm hour.
For future reference I note what I walked by on my parish map so as to better see where help may be needed, and what kind of help.
I have met homebound and institutionalized people who have no one to lead them to Jesus through Mary, and no one to offer them sacraments. Therefore this mission is on 'pause' until a very supportive bishop and priest are located.
It is not a new mission, remember, we were doing it in the '60s. And Vatican II never negated it, as I have read all of Vatican II's writings, as well as the catechism. Furthermore, even Cannon Law still fully supports it.

Most if us never know our mission. We come to the days, where we wonder what's our purpose? Sometimes your purpose may have gone unknown and your mission completed, unbeknownst to us. Remember Saint Mother Theresa went thru dry spells for a long time not feeling a special feel. She persevered none the less.

Reminds me of English missionary priest visited our church who has helped Street Children in South America for decades. He was Church of England yet helping out in Catholic missionary charity so after he was ordained as Anglican priest he converted to Catholicism and became RCC priest. In our 80s, our mission is to be prayer warriors. We attend daily Mass and pray lots of rosaries, We make Adoration Holy Hours when we can. We believe this is our mission.
I'm in my 40's, and I've received prayer as a mission, during the last two years.
I love the Holy Mass, attend every time it's offered, love Adoration of the Eucharist, and can't imagine living without praying the Most Holy Rosary!

30+ years ago the scales fell off my wife’s and my eyes and we KNEW God existed and we felt called to do something. We prayed for God to show us our mission in life (tho not in those words). Three years later, God answered our prayers and we were led, by God, to give homes to kids who had none. I’m thinkin’ we’re done, but today we count 8 kids as our own (which has led to 7 grandkids).
Certainly not an easy 30 years, but... It’s a Wonderful Life!

When we know our particular mission, it gives a sense of purpose and fulfilment which enhances our identity and dignity. Like you say, it’s a real driving force within us because it’s the Lord driving us, a bit like the wind (the Holy Spirit) driving the sails on a windmill (the Church) and we are the little individual cogs inside the windmill (Church) We are rewarded with joy as a result, even though at times our mission seams a struggle.

Uniquely Mary channel covers Purgatory🛑: I recommend being an intercessor on Earth for the Poor Souls in Purgatory as well as conversion of Our friends/families and all sinners. 🛑Perhaps better word is offering devotions and penance for their sins. Our Lady told the Children at Fatima that these Poor Souls have no one to pray for them. If You Love God then you will want to help them through, prayer, fasting and other penance. Padre Pio had visions of them. If we go to Purgatory first then if they become saints in Heaven their prayers will be powerful in reducing our time there. God bless. ❤🙏

I'm an international student in India, I live near a home for Catholic priests though so I decided I'd be going for mass daily since there's mass daily but the mass is at 6:30 am so sometimes I'm lazy and I don't go😅
Being an international student, I ran out of money sometimes and My parents are not always able to send money
Now when I'm broke and I don't go for mass I'm completely sad, dull completely depressed
But when I start going for the daily mass that I know God wanted me to go for, All of a sudden I'm happier more smiles more joy even when I have completely no money
I never met an Indian person I didn't get along with very well, and was disappointed when I found out recently that I don't have Indian genetics, since I already knew I missed out on the Irish genes...
Anyway, I will pray for you and dedicate the next Holy Mass to you. Also, please let me know your country of origin, and forgive my curiosity.

I have a decision to make right now between going back to my old job in TN which includes what I believe is my mission or staying here in Indiana trying to build my mission and its not going so well so i have to take part time jobs that i don't like. I can do it part time to start and I don't mind the 4 hour drive on weekends. Prayers please if this is God's will he'll find me a place to stay for cheap with my cats because they have to travel with. 🥰

I knew it when I was younger but along the way as I go through life my mission gets clearer and clearer. Fr. Mark have you heard of Sr. (Mother) Elvira who started the Cenacolo community for those with addiction (its not a rehab). This has been her mission. There are now Cenacolo houses all over the world, many souls have been saved. Quite a few of the ex addicts joined the community and are priests, nuns and missionaries, others are living good lives back in society. St Elvira lives in Italy and is in her 80's I think, but she is the embodiment of a living Saint, very much along the lines of Don Bosco. 🙏🙏

I'm so glad you preached it. :)
So many people feel like they have to "find themselves." My thoughts are, "you were never lost in the first place." So many young people, just crying out to "know themselves." Only the Lord can show us personally, WHO we are, and WHY we are here. It is in knowing that mission, where we have total peace, and can live every day in the present moment.
You have said so many times, how important it is to cultivate a spiritual life, to really know God, to hear Him speak in His words (holy scripture), or reading about the lives of the Saints, (throwing another log on the fire) tending to the fire, keeping your spiritual life going.
These sermons, and videos are really important, and just what I need to hear.
I have grown so much in the past year, and just felt my spiritual life deepen, and I've had a peace that never goes away. Keep listening to the Lord, and doing all that you do. These videos are so vital.
I started a prayer group in my house, one evening a week. We put you on our prayer board.

I found Jesus when I was 50yrs old was an on off Cathlic. Im 70yrs and have practicing my faith since 50 am still looking for my purpose. I staarted going to Latin Mass. Not looking anymore!!! Jesus is every for all of use but in different ways. Have not been to regular Mass but will and I will see Jesus there. He is in the Bread of Life no matter what mass you go to. Pray for my journy my time is short. Lots of health reasons and I will not stop my life style (adventurer) with a new Assist Dog Daisy in the mountains. Peace Out and Love MMLZZZ

St. John Bosco has a profound impact on education and vocation for priesthood, as the Salesians established many schools in different places, including Hong Kong and Macau, where a number of their students eventually became missionaries and priests.
My late father-in-law, who had been an atheist most of his life, got baptized few years ago and chose St. John Bosco as the baptismal name, because he went to a Salesian school and had great respect for him.

Priest, the history about the man across the street made me remember my father. My father was a intercessor also. He prayed a lot every day.When he woked up during the night, he used to pray the rosary. My parent'house was robberyed in January,2020. Moments before my father was sleeping, but woke up and was praying the rosary when the bad men arrived. They hit my father. After a week, my father had generalized infection, he was diabetic. After 27 days of suffering my father passed away. He died in the vigily night of Saint Mary of Lourdes, in the Saint Escolastic day. I was diagnosticated with low fertility in 2019, i said to my father and asked him to pray for It. After 3 months of my father death (May 2020) , i was praying the rosary and i asked to our Mother Virgin Mary to dream about my father, to give him a hug and to know if he was needing prayers. After 3 days, i dreamed about my father, and in the place appeared some babys stuffed. In that moment i was preparying myself to be consagrated to the Virgin Mary in my birth day 13 july by the Saint Louis Grignion the Montfort method. In August, i started the Saint Michael Arcanj Quaresm and i my doctor said to me and my husband that i had to go to a human reproduction clinic. Me and my husband went to the place and the doctor said that we had Just 3 months to try getting pregnancy. Well, 3 weeks after the appointment, in the week that i finished the quaresm of Saint Michael Arcanj, in the Angel guard day specifically we realized that i was pregnanty. In the 35 pregnancy week, i had pre eclampsy and had to go and stay at the hospital. My dear son Michael, Who we call in Brazil Miguel arrived on May 13, 2021. A year after the dreaming about my father and in the day of our Mother of Fátima Who i asked for the grace dreaming about my father. I had some complication after giving birth of my son, and i had to stay more 12 day at the hospital. So, i leave the hospital on May 25th 2021 - The birth day of Saint Padre Pio, my intercessor Saint. Sorry, for the long text, but my testemonial was to give the example of people like my father, a wonderful intercecssor here and in haven. Thank you Priest Mark, i love to hear you and to find your chanell at UA-cam was a very good surprise and gift of our Lord Jesus Christ and of Our Mother Mary.
Just one more detail. The doctor of the human reproduction clinic said that we had Just 3 months to try getting pregnant by ourselves, and IF we did not get It we would have to start a reproduction treatment. But, It was not necessary. Our big miracle just was arriving. Thank you my Lord Jesus Christ! Viva Cristo Rei!
