It's like, you know they're tall, but you don't realize how BIG they are until you see one next to a human and realize their skulls alone are about the length of their keeper's whole torso.
Total respect for these lovely people working to conserve these beautiful animals, they are amazing, not like the ones who are destroying them throughout the world with habitat , deforestation and war.Well done to you all good souls❤❤

I hitched around east Africa for 4 months in 1972, and seeing several giraffes running was incredible. They are so tall and it always looked like they were running in slow motion, but, the amount of ground they covered with a couple of running steps was huge. It was glorious to see all that wild life I saw there, living free, and with no cages.
