Hello friends Today I show you a painting a bow from transparent emerald silk in watercolor in the shape of a flower 🥰 I love the gold border on it. It gives it a little flair and realism at the same time
This is drop-dead gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing your talent and process. I’m learning so much about transparency from your videos. I have a ways to go, but feel so much more confident in my attempts. Be well!
Oh, thank you, my friend 🙏 Transparency is my great love. It is one of the ways to show the tenderness and sophistication of watercolor. The main thing is not to forget to count the layers and also, when making a gold border - to distinguish what is on top and what is under the fabric. It is very easy to get confused here 🧐
@@sculptor210 oh no, no need for a map. Draw a pencil sketch. Well, something like this video of mine, only simpler ua-cam.com/video/_U413he7blA/v-deo.htmlsi=7QUiOkSRPeg_Vk8u
Thank you, my friend I was just very lucky with my watercolor teacher. She taught me the basics, after which watercolor becomes more advantageous than other materials.
Thank you my friend for your kind words, but I'm still learning myself. There are a million cool techniques and I want to try them all and choose my favorites.
I’ve been so excited to watch this video ever since I saw your first posts with pics here on YT. Just gotta figure out how to do that line drawing now, but should be able to screenshot it. Absolutely stunning. 😊
Thank you. I advise you to make the speed 0.25 in the video settings. Well, I personally counted the layers. If 1 layer of fabric is the lightest, 2 is a little darker, 3 is even darker and 4 is the darkest. But in the end I still got confused 🤣 And all because there is no reference, I came up with this bow myself 🙄
@@Lolaaquarella that’s what makes it so impressive! I’m sure it’ll take a little trial and error, interpreting a 3 dimensional object with transparent qualities is good for the brain. Lord knows I need it 😂. Thats why I love your channel and am currently working through your book!
@@Lolaaquarellamy bad! Confused you with another channel 😬 your work with transparent subjects reminds me a lot of another creator, but it’s definitely distinct. I’m an engineer, I kept thinking “I’ve done this before,” even though I just started dabbling in art recently. Then I realized I’ve done this in Calcukus III (and to an extent differential equations). Using complex functions to model quadratic surfaces. Took me back to a totally different time in my life but this would be a very complex equation to model 😂. No way I could do it today. Never used that stuff in my career in a direct way.
@@emkay888 Yes, think I know this wonderful author. Olga Koelsch??? Yes, we are like two sisters and people confuse our channels))) I shake your hand. I am also an engineer - technologist and draftsman. That's why I like studying the surface and curvature of the form.
@@Lolaaquarella I recently found your videos . I am not good at art . I enjoy playing with colours with my daughter . Your videos are mesmerizing and fill my heart with joy . What makes you so special is that you have taken time out to answer questions and explain things in the comments. Wishing you happiness ❤🙏
@@ranjubunny Oh, thank you, my friend. I try to come every day and answer all the comments, because I created this channel to share my knowledge and help people with my ideas. But I have two children, and I do not always answer comments right away))). So if I did not answer right away, then do not worry, I will always answer later. Because I am either sleeping, or cooking, or cleaning, or taking the children to school or playing with my son on the playground🤪
Thank you. I think I'll deal with this issue later. Unfortunately, I don't know yet how to do it from Spain. We are refugees here and this is not our home country. From my country, I would have done it a long time ago.
