It was an experiment with adults and children where the scientists gave the participants a round object and a sharp object and told them to assign the names "bouba" and "kiki" to either of them. Pretty much every participant gave the round object the name bouba (because the name sounded "rounder") and the sharp object was named kiki (the name sounded sharper). So arin is basically asking if someone is more of a soft rounder person (bouba) or a more harsh, sharp person (kiki)

Dan, like myself and the vast majority of other musicians, has relative pitch. Perfect pitch is indeed when someone can play a note and you can tell them exactly what note that is. Relative pitch is where you can tell the interval between two pitches or sing at an interval, including unison, from that reference pitch. Reference pitch can be taught and learned, perfect pitch can't and must be developed as a child. I know I'm being the acktually guy, but this has been grating on me for years since the misunderstanding for everyone else gets bigger each time he confidently gives the wrong info. Maybe I could find a guitar plugin that would sound similar.. hmmm 🤔
