I'm never disappointed by endings.
But I find that this ending isn't exploited as it should be, let me explain:
It's literally the only time of the year when we hope to spend some time with the person we love again. And yet, it could so easily have ended on a very romantic and intimate note (for example: leaving the infirmary and going to a place where you can see the sun rise).
Then in a cinematic: being close to your partner, having him or her kiss your hands followed by a hug. That would have been very symbolic!
The kiss on the hands would be a direct reference to the fact that you had to hold your partner's hand to break the curse (and also seen as a gesture of tenderness and sincerity).
Followed by a hug, which would also be the "romantic" note of the whole.
I chose one character (without mentioning his name, in case anyone else wanted to play him), this companion said he saw cuddling as "conception of love".
That would have added a truly wonderful coherence to the ending! While taking into account the companion's preferences (and this could have differed according to each different companion's "conception of love").
I know it's a lot of work. And that it all takes time, money and a lot of energy.
But I'm happy with this ending too, I've been waiting for this event for a while, and I wasn't disappointed overall.
I just think it's a shame to give us a cinematic at Madame Rosmeta's, as it reminds me a lot of a previous, identical event (dinner at Rosmeta's for a couple, also taking place on the 2nd floor). The event was called "Histoire d'Amour" in French). I have the impression that they've taken up this idea, so I don't know what to make of it, or if it's purely coincidental.
What bothers me, and has for some time with other events too, is that it always ends up as a party generally.
Yes, it's a game, yes, friendship and good vibes are emphasized enormously.
But you can also find great ways to end an event without celebrating at the end.
This was really "strange" and "too much" for a conclusion.
The partner in the story is at enormous risk of not waking up, and our friends rush off to throw a party at Rosmeta's, not knowing whether MC will succeed in waking up the partner or not.
Yes, it's a game, yes, the review is a little overdone on realism, and yes, it always ends in a happy ending, so our friends have planned one step ahead of the situation.
Anyway, that's just me, Yes, it's strange when you put it like that, because the very essence of Valentine's Day is to celebrate love. But I was expecting a calmer ending, especially with what happened throughout the event.
A final note: Our partner is always giving us presents, and I find it a bit frustrating that we never have any presents for him/her.
And even the necklace we supposedly give him/her, ends up coming back to us (well yes, that's the game, so it's a final reward), but it would be cool if MC decided one day to give a little something in return.

Well as far as the MC’s romance goes in Merula’s case, it would be nice to see her able to do a full corporeal Patronus charm and reveal it to be like the MC’s (indicating her love for MC)
