Love this watch! My dad gave me one as a kid with a black strap. Over time I have grown to appreciate it more and more, I never realised how old it was!
Same here. I purchased a Pulsar PX3217X solar field watch on sale for AUD$89. Saved a lot of money. Pulsar is one of most underrated brands, and their durability is matched by the Seiko 3 year warranty.
I inherited this watch from my grandfather. It is truly a wonderful piece! However, the bezel let go at some point and I lost it (happened somewhere in the sea in Vietnam). I would love to have it replaced but as it is an old watch spare parts are hard to find. It isn't a must for me to have the original bezel but I'm not sure what to look out for when it comes to choosing the right bezel (size wise) to fit this watch. Does anyone have any tips?
I got my Pulsar V145-X007 this week and wow what a watch, sadly I couldn't find this dive type but happy enuff with the one I got and its lume is pretty astonishing. The one I am looking out for at mo is the Alba VX42 with the canteen crown like a TW Steel, I think its the only canteen crown Seiko produced.
You know how to find the hidden gems for sure. I have often noticed nice discontinued Japanese watches that do not have equivalents in their brands current line ups I like as much. Especially when it comes to titanium watches. Enjoy in good health.
That is actually extremely nice. I always thought Pulsar was an entry level brand below Seiko, obviously I was misinformed. If they were to release something similar, It probably would be over $400, since it’s Titanium. I really like the cushion case. You might already know, but Scurfa is releasing the Diver 1 M.S. 20 this month. Will be there first Titanium model. However, it will be using the Ronda 715, so not Solar.
I definitely agree. I think if a similar watch was produced currently with the same build quality, it would certainly be priced at over $400. I would love to know what they were originally priced at when they were released in the late 90s, but I haven't been able to find that info through my research. I have been considering the titanium Scurfa M.S.20. I recently sold my Scurfa M.S.18 on a stainless steel bracelet, it was a great watch but a bit chunky on wrist. The new titanium model definitely has my interest. I prefer the solar movement in this Pulsar, but the Ronda 715 it's also a great quartz movement with impressive battery life. Thanks for the comment!

Wow - what a beautiful timepiece! These are pretty rare.
Excellent review.
Thank you.
That's better than many of the newer Seiko's.... Vastly underrated Pulsar ...Solar perfect for a diver.. Love that watch all you need..
Couldn't agree more!
I love Pulsar watches! Just bought one marked down from $360 to $99 and man it's built well. The bracelets are much better than Seiko 5 version.

Yankee thanks from Berlín germany vielen dank fur
Nice piece. Wish they still made them. Would love to own one...
Keep your eye out for one! Took me about 6-8 months to track one down. I'd love to have the opportunity to acquire the blue model at some point.

Heart of Texas Armory I also sold my MS 18. I want to upgrade.
Nice watches !!!
What is the accuracy range for the v145 movement? +- 10 sec a month?
Interesting 👍

Rare reference . The lume is "lumibrite" (not luminova)
