@Mega Canon being dickheads dont make u a real wrestling fan anymore than someone who has home training that crowd at one night stand was ridiculous regardless of how you feel about a wrestler its just entertainment….. the talent should never have to be escorted out an arena just because they may lose or win
Cena's ability to work a crowd, and roll with the punches was on full display that night. Crowd chants "you can't wrestle", Cena chain wrestles into a monkey flip, crowd chants "you still suck". That ECW crowd didn't give Cena an inch, and that ironically is what made him shine.

Cena could go when he had to but he didn't have to most of the time, smart. He did more with his limited ability than all those flippy 5 star overrated workrate dorks lol
Remember watching that match on ppv at a movie theater and being happy as hell when RVD beat Cena to become WWE Champion after cashing in the MITB Contract at One Night Stand 2006 cause honestly he never would have gotten to be WWE Champion any other way being an ex ECW guy and though it was partly to revive the ECW Brand it was bitter sweet cause if it wasn't for ECW being revived would he had won against Cena ? Highly unlikely . Too bad he never really had a run with the titles due to being busted on drug chages along with Sabu and was made to lose both titles and due a month suspension . Would have loved to have seen RVD dominate as both ECW and WWE Champion .
I didn’t like that RVD needed so much help to beat Cena. RVD got his ass kicked for most of the match until Edge came in and speared Cena. It was an entertaining match, but they could have made RVD look a little better.
I love that PPV so much!. Probably my most favorite PPV ever. The nostalgia watching it live on PPV. Even to this day I get a little choked up watching it. All sorts of feelings to be honest. ECW played a huge roll in my childhood growing up. Those memories can never be replaced. I miss the tape trading days

@Mega Canon I wasn't insulting, however if you feel like John Cena wasn't a commerical draw in 2006 then you're personal feelings towards him are diluting your objectivity. John Cena was a rocket ship in 2006, his name was easily the biggest on the ECW ONS card. I'm not sure what you're trying to dispute. 🤷
If RVD didn't win that night and Cena walked away with the W and the Championship someone was getting stabbed that night don't care what no one says those fans wanted blood
Cena can wrestle the reason people hate cena it’s cause he was given the belt for too long guys like wade beret and cm punk should hav gotten a big push this is the reason I don’t enjoy watching wrestling they only cared about cena to gain younger audience Even cena could never be like the rock

What I want to know about the ECW One Night Stand is who were the guys who did the famous "If Cena Wins, We Riot" sign. Because that sign has become an icon in the Wrestling community.
I forgot why I was a huge RVD fan as a little kid, then I just happened upon an old match of him and Sabu and it was the craziest, most action packed few minutes! He really was the whole show lol and he made the stuff look good, not just gymnastics.
I was at One Night Stand. The chants against Cena were obscene, even by ECW 's standards. There were a lot more vulgar ones that didn't get picked up on TV.
funny cuz rvd just did a bunch of mocap for wrestling code, which cvv is supposed to do ring announcing for, have you done any of that yet? should have asked him about the game lol
Chris van vilet is gonna interview Cena again soon. *Not a typo his name was Vilet but I guess Mandela effect made it vliet. Noticed this about a year back.

Cena is the man. How he worked such a good match in such a hostile, uncomfortable environment is impressive to say the least.
@Mega Canon Cena was never a draw?? I can't tell if your comment is serious or sarcasm.
@Mega Canon and talentless, too? What planet, man.
Great today video
Thanks Jesse!
Cena didn’t know he was a heal…..ECW ECW
I fondly remember that PPV. I begged my sister to order it. And I recorded it on VHS. ECW FOREVER!
I Heard That RVD having Memory issues Difficult To remember what Happend in Past.... Is that True?
If RVD didn't win that night and Cena walked away with the W and the Championship someone was getting stabbed that night don't care what no one says those fans wanted blood
Cena can wrestle the reason people hate cena it’s cause he was given the belt for too long guys like wade beret and cm punk should hav gotten a big push this is the reason I don’t enjoy watching wrestling they only cared about cena to gain younger audience Even cena could never be like the rock
Studio is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! Blue Wire did such a good job with it
And then he went on to a road trip with Sabu with stash ... And the rest as they say, is history! 😣😣
They making it seem like you beat him , dude I seen that shi live edge came out and speared Cena and you took advantage, not that you beat him hands down fair in square you were good but come on man not that dam good thx to edge.
"If Cena wins, we cry" the crowd was the real HEEL. belive that.
ECW always had the best crowds in wrestling history. RVD the best
RVD on beating off John Cena
What an alternative title.
One of the greatest man RVD is a legend in his own right ! Respect 👑
Love him or hate him John Cena is a GOAT 🐐
WWE underused RVD. I blame Hunter for that
I was only 6 when it happened tho 😭
What I want to know about the ECW One Night Stand is who were the guys who did the famous "If Cena Wins, We Riot" sign.
Because that sign has become an icon in the Wrestling community.
Iam so proud of you chris 💙 keep up the good work
Cena is the greatest of all time!
Say it louder for the ones in the back 💯🗣!!!
Next time you interview John ask him about this match
I forgot why I was a huge RVD fan as a little kid, then I just happened upon an old match of him and Sabu and it was the craziest, most action packed few minutes! He really was the whole show lol and he made the stuff look good, not just gymnastics.
RVD is my favourite wrestler of all time
This is one of those rare moments where Cena is a natural Heel by a crowd and the one in Chicago against CM Punk.
Ofcourse RVD was going over that night
I was at One Night Stand. The chants against Cena were obscene, even by ECW 's standards. There were a lot more vulgar ones that didn't get picked up on TV.
funny cuz rvd just did a bunch of mocap for wrestling code, which cvv is supposed to do ring announcing for, have you done any of that yet? should have asked him about the game lol
Chris van vilet is gonna interview Cena again soon.
*Not a typo his name was Vilet but I guess Mandela effect made it vliet. Noticed this about a year back.
We had no idea what John Cena was giving us
I was there, as a 19 year old, my first ECW show, on vacation from California. Easily the best atmosphere i've been in a wrestling show ever.
I only wish they had let RVD win clean
Wonder if John Cena would have won that match at one night stand 2006 how would those Sad fans react 😂
I’m surprised that Lawler didn’t attempt to screw RVD in that match.
I definitely remember that match when I was young seeing my two favorite wrestlers going against each other one on one champion vs champion one on one for the spinning wwe title and for the old ecw title that match was great and classic and that was my first time seeing rvd beating john cena at ecw one night stand year 2006 and edge spearing john to the Conor of the ring and it was first time seeing john getting booed by the crowd I was shocked I was always like why they booing him of course never been to ecw until year 2006 he did and this match is my favorite.
The event that made hating John Cena officially cool
Bro really that’s so BS make hating John Cena cool you Cena haters are Dum Cena should have beaten RVD that night so you fans can riot would love to see that
