No problem, did you happen to watch the video of the trek? Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/TqtoN6h_oMo/v-deo.html It’ll give you a pretty good idea of how many little serviceable parts there are on the stock bike. For example, I bought that exact trek for $600 and the shock wasn’t charged charged, so I had to get a rebuild kit. Same with the fork - friction compound wasn’t added to the stanchion wipers, so they would always pop off. Long story short if the assembler didn’t do quite the job expected, then there will be problems that will arise quite soon. That’s probably why he made that offer.
No problem! After all the work, it feels amazing for a rider weight between 130-150lbs. I can ride it, but only with everything locked out, makes a good cross country bike! 8/10 would recommend, if I’m being completely honest.
