i was never into planet of the apes, but saw this figure and picked it up, when i opened it i was so impressed! something about this figure is just so awesome, that even thought i did not care for the series, it got me into collecting them. As i bought the figures, it aroused me curiosity so i wanted to learn more about these characters so i bought all the movies and watched them and watched the tv series on youtube. Its pretty interesting. All it took was just this figure to get me to watch the movies and tv series. If it was not for neca i would of never watched the original movies

General Ursus, the helmeted gorilla, should be out by December/January. Amazon lists it as being released on January 30, 2015. I'm psyched about this line!

u dont need to buy it on amazon,well you should actually if u dont live in LA or sherman oaks cuz there is a store called Big Kid and they have so many old collectibles.its a small store with so many new and old time pieces.i got the ape soldier there yesterday and they already have figures from series 2 like general Ursus.its a really great store and u should look up the adress or u can go to puzzle zoo which is out in santa montica on third st.they have good stuff there too

I'm a little late to the party but the classic planet of the apes is my favorite design, I hope they revive this line. Unfortunately I'm reliant on the mercy of eBay sellers and the like to hunt these figures down. Really kicking myself for getting out of the hobby when I did now I'm playing catch up.

the apes with the helmet are coming for series 2 and the two pack spot, it looks really good. they are also going to make a taylor, but it's in the retro style with cloth clothes.

Love the classic movies, the cheesy tv show and the new CGI movies, trying to forget the Tim Burton piece of excrement, although didn't they link that movie to the newer CGI movies? Didn't they show and talk about the launch of whatever the ships was name?

You saying 5 or 6 movies instead of knowing it was just 5, and you unsure saying Taylor, Tyler make me question your Apes fandom. What's inside the pouches on the belt would be extra bullets. The sash is called an ammo belt. thus the pouches are called ammo pouches.

I love Rise and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes i also like the classics despite how much i dislike the look of the apes back in those movies but i absolutely hate the Tim Burton movie.
