NATO is not a defensive alliance. They illegally bombed Yugoslavia (direct violation of the UN Charter). We must never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria etc

Exactly. NATO has been hijacked by special interests. This war has nothing to do with defending The North Atlantic! Nor did Syria, Libya Afghanistan or Yugoslavia.
If I was a country, I'd pass on NATO's "help".

Well, they did so in order not to be invaded by the criminals you seem to support! NATO has a clear history of invasion and I guess Russia was not ready to let you guys imprint your realities via brute force (2014 Ukraine Coup), therefore it did prevent it via sheer violence…

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.
20th September, 2021. Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO
NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter).
We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc.
Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster?
Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest.
Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland.
Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed.
Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”.
Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it.
Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country.
Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list.
Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list.
There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence).
The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present.
Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.
Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P.
The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion.
I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.
Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

I beg to differ. He claims he doesn't understand why the Europeans went to war in Iraq "with" the Americans, or why the Europeans sided with Ukraine in the Ukrainian war. So he can't make sense of the world because he doesn't understand that Europeans are subservient to the United States - Europe takes its orders from Washington. If he understood this, then I would agree with your statement. Without understanding this, he's trying to fit a square into a circle, and he'll never understand the "why".

Tbh I feel a little sorry for the Ukrainians. They were used. However, they should never even have considered joining NATO. Why do that when you have Russia as your neighbor??? They should have just fallen in with Russia again like the old Soviet Union. Then again, what do I know? I don't live there and I really don't know what exactly went down leading up to the invasion. But I find it very difficult to believe that the Russians would just invade a neighboring country, not only invade, but invade a brother country where people have relatives living. There was a very good reason. Whether it was justified, I don't know. But I DO know that Ukraine's fascist far right faction was shelling Russian villages and towns in Eastern Ukraine. Since 2014. Would you agree that I have that right? Or no.?

Zelenskee ist ein Juden, what the hell is he doing in power? He deserves whatever he gets. For a jeww he is quite dumb. Especially to be tricked by our CIA bullshit. Would you agree with that as well?
What are your thoughts , could you maybe say more about this? Seems you know what is going on. What do you think about why it happened, and do you think it is justified for Putin to invade?
Also remember, Ukraine had a bunch of hidden US secret biolabs. That alone would scare me, and if I we're Putin I would do something, maybe not invade, but I think he panicked a bit.

Great and very informative video. Everything is more or less spot-on here. However throughout history Empires do RISE & Empires do FALL as well. The same can be said about the economic and political systems as well. Communism and Marxism collapsed in 1989, and Free market Capitalism collapsed in 2008.
China on the other hand has adopted a hybrid type of Free Market Capitalist combined with a Socialist system creating their very successful Capitalism/Socialism system but with Chinese characteristics like Deng Xiao Ping said many times. This happened immediately after the death of Mao Ze Dong on September 9, 1975, and now China has become the worlds largest economy as of 2014.
The USA on the other hand has spent way too much money on unwinnable wars and regime change around the globe, and has NOT won a war since May 7, 1945 with Russia lending a helping hand in that victory as well, by coming in from and covering from the Eastern Front, while the USA came in from the Western Front to DEFEAT their common enemy, which was Nazi-Germany !!!
Also, wars don't seem to work anymore, since the ones being attacked by the US, UK, EU, NATO and their collective western warmongering neocon LOSERS, vassals, lapdogs, poodles, etc. are, and now have the ability and strength to FIGHT BACK against them now. Remember the USA's defeat in Vietnam in 1976, and Afghanistan (aka the graveyard of empires) in 2021.
    Have a nice weekend.

Thank you for inviting Col. Jacques Baud. He is exactly right when he explains that Western weapons manufacturers are not investing in increasing inexpensive weapons and ammunition production, for the simple reason that there is no profit or not enough profit to justify these investments.
Western weapons production is profit driven, Russian and Chinese weapons production is driven by national security requirements.

Viktor Orbán - on Ukraine talks:
It is obvious that large peace talks will be conducted by major countries. But today the situation is such that there is no dialog. And without dialog, it is very difficult to understand how we can move towards peace. I think Europe has to keep the compass of peace and humanity, humane thinking, humane foreign policy. And Europe can probably do more to achieve peace. I don't need a mandate because I don't represent anything, I only do one thing: I go where there is a threat of war that has negative consequences for Europe and Hungary, and I find out the facts, I ask questions. For example, I asked President Zelensky three or four important questions about what he thinks about these things so that we can understand his intentions and where the red line is. If we don't measure it, if we don't know exactly where the border is, if we only sit in Brussels, then we can't get closer to peace, because peace will not come by itself. So if we think that events happen and peace comes from that, we misunderstand the nature of war. Peace will come when someone gets behind it.

EU was supposed to be a separate pole in global affairs, financial wherewithal, trade, and international relations; that is what we had thought. But, it is clear and @ColBaud points out very painfully, that EU is a vassal of the US, and can't seem to think or make decisions independently, even at their own detriment. It is truly astonishing how neutered (by the US) the European Union and the EU "powerhouses" are and are behaving as such.

    • @pmarsh6790

Sadly the Colonel is mistaken in his reasoning that because we in the West live in "democracies"😂 that our rulers are going to take any notice of what we the ruled tell them. For starters we were never consulted about going to war against Russia, using OUR money and OUR weapons, and we won't be asked if/when OUR soldiers are sent to die in pursuit of victory against a country which isn't and never has been any threat to us. Those of us who contacted our alleged representatives in the decision-making process before the conflict kicked off objecting strongly to their actions against Russia were simply ignored.
Even if/when Russian missiles land in Western cities killing civilians, we'll still be ignored, and our leaders will simply 'double down' and escalate further.
As Alexander of the Duran keeps reminding us: "they have no reverse gear"!

I recall my history syllabus at high school late 1970`s on the Treaty of Versailles. The famous cartoon of the children crying on the steps outside as the leaders of France Britain and the USA drew up the terms for Germany. Who are those children and why are they crying? They are the next generation doomed to die in another war by the vindictive arrogance of the statesmen within. And of course, how we marveled at the patriotic propaganda that had stirred populations to march merrily into industrial slaughter assured by the press. Home by Christmas. People were so naive back then. Uneducated foolish naive masses led by pompous politicians & lying nationalist press barons. Tolstoy was right. Human beings never change. We are the same as them. Only the stupid think otherwise
The US will wait till Russia halts its advance. If Russia allows a rump Ukraine to exist independantly the terror campaign will continue ad infinitum. The only way then for Russia to stop this going on for years would be a nuclear stand off. Perhaps the brics nation should provide a peackeeping force and interim administration . This might complicate the US trying to propagate continuing violence. The UN is a US asset. The brics need an independant international legal forum. The UN EU and NATO wont go quietly. We need new legitimacy in an international forum yo oppose these corrupt and decaying institutions.

If you want to understand the American strategy in Ukraine, you should read The Global Minotaur by Varoufakis. In essence, the American economic model is unsustainable and only held together by the dollar's status as the world reserve currency, as well as the financial institutions that go with that. If Europe, Russia and China are allowed to trade freely, this will in time make the dollar system disappear. The only currency that could challenge the dollar is the Euro. For Euro to surpass the dollar, EU would need a banking union as well as a capital markets union. For that you need political unity. And that is why the Americans are desperate for populist parties to gain ground in Europe. They very specifically want Le Pen as the French President, because the American strategists calculate that she would sink the financial union, or at least create political gridlock.
The battlefield is not really what this war is about. The Americans wanted to crush the Russian economy to prevent the BRICS from de-dollarizing and the Americans wanted to crush the European economy to enslave the Europeans and ultimately break apart the EU and the Euro. This will not work, mostly because the American security guarantees have been proven as invalid and because everyone is perfectly aware now that the American economy has maybe 10 years or less before it dies. The American economy is not really an economy. It is a parasite that leeches off growth and wealth from every other economy in the world. So we should be happy that the parasite is dying, as dangerous as this process is.

Varoufakis is a gatekeeper. He knows who invented money and has been ruling Europe since the Bronze Age. In the Greek Empire - America is a Captain, not a Field Marshal. What the Greek Oligarchs want is - Russia and to make it "Ukraine" against China. They can rule relatively undetected in Europe and the Americas, but ruling China is becoming a challenge.

The Colonel asks why, despite knowing that these conflicts are futile, Western leaders still initiate and continue them?
2 reasons: firstly because neither they nor their loved ones are having to physically fight in them, or risk dying or suffering life changing injuries while fighting, and secondly because of the monetary returns either through bribes or investment in the mic.
But its a rhetorical question because the good Colonel already knows that 😢

Without one African present and without consulting the African people. Thus without their consent. This is called colonization. The same goes for other people to decide over the territory of Palestine without the consent of the people, as in 1917 by the British Crown, is called colonization. The International Community (UN) does not have the right to constitute a new state (Israel) on other peoples land (Palestine). This follows from the one page November 2nd 1917 Balfour Declaration on behalf of the British Crown.
