I didn't get to attend a traditional Highschoool so marching bands are like a fanciful mystery for me, seeing them out in the wild is like seeing a Unicorn. To discover a video of a heavy brass marching band that can also do swing dance moves while playing in a troupe? Got me bouncing in my seat and jiving along! Awesome!

What an amazing tradition of excellence the parents, teachers and students have established. Hope this tradition never ends. Hope I can visit Japan someday and hear them in person.
I stumbled upon the Tachibana SHS band a couple of weeks ago and I am now hooked on them. They literally fill my heart with joy. I believe they put in something like 40 hours a week between music lessons and dance practice, that is excluding normal school studies. I wil be 70 in a couple of months time and in my humble opinion they are the greatest collection of musicians I have ever seen or heard. Thank you Tachibana SHS Band for the joy you bring.❤️

when I watched the video on what these kids go through and their dedication, I was totally amazed at what I saw, everything they do is practiced and practiced so it becomes all mussel memory, right down to how fast and the length of their step to make sure everything is the same... and even the disappointment if someone doesn't make the band... these kids are amazing...

It's unbelievable that all the songs and dance choreography were selected and created by the students themselves. All the students that joined this band are very special. They are the best band in the world, not just high school.
Loving the new repertoire and choreography - I never expected "My Heart Will Go On" to be included, and the flag girls really evoked a sense of the sea with their double blue flags and their dance. The World famous Tachibana SHS Band really doesn't stand still in more ways than one!
