Thanks for the vedio, I just purchased this for my boys, and I'm now looking at the 140 pages instruction feeling overwhelmed, it'll take us weeks to get it installed!
Hi! Amazing, really like your final build - particularly your comment on the post and cement footings. Can you share the measurements for where I should set the cement posts? Did you by any chance record how you did the cement posts and footings?
I didn’t…. You can just measure the main posts width, I built it first it’s still fairly light in the beginning so that showed me the exact location of the posts…. I dug fairly shallow and used about a one gallon container to form the footings… you can use anything
Hi there, I have an opportunity to possibly inherit this playhouse but I would need to dismantle it. Do you think it would be sturdy enough to dismantle and rebuild? Thank you so much!!!!
Hi, Great video!! Very helpful! We noticed the roof slopes into the little nook on the front where the gable sticks out. is this an issue when it rains, does it flood the playhouse? We were planning on putting shingles on the roof but then saw this in your video? How are you liking the playhouse?
It’s not bad... some of the construction is non sensible due to having to fit it into boxes. It is a fair weather structure so not overly concerned about the rain. We did end up sealing everything with a coat of Thompson’s water seal. It is holding up well and the slide is pretty sturdy and can handle Mom sliding down. Really enjoy the view from the eagles nest - it’s quite high. I know they will have a ball when their cousins are allowed back over... hopefully by summer
Thank you for the video. Is there scope to add a swing beneath the structure like behind climbing wall? Are the beams sturdy enough for that to be safe? Looking for an option where I can have a swing without having to attach swing frame due to space constrainta
When mounting the slide, did you put the 3 silver bolts through that wood mounting strip? The instructions and BILT app both show the bolts going through the floor boards just past the wood mounting strip which was odd.
Thanks for the great tour. Do you think it would be possible to partially dismantle the playhouse and move it onto a flatbed trailer? I can get one for a good price, but I'm concerned about getting it moved.
@@TwoTwinsDad Can we talk about this possibility? I am doing the same thing. I have to move it from one house to mine. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah it sags a bit here and there, mostly in the ladder landing (triangular area) and also the eagles nest…. Nature of the construction. They had to make it packable to ship it, so the pieces are smaller, more joints equals more opportunities for movement and play in the fastening. I am going to add a random screw here or there to help keep things a bit more rigid. I will say that it looks great right now, and after a few seasons the saggy-ness has not increased as far as I can tell.
It’s great! Wood looks great for being in the weather for a couple years now… slide hasn’t aged a bit… they do say to retighten bolts seasonally…. I have to do that and maybe spray on some wood weatherproofing - but overall really happy with it and the girls can play safely in our fenced yard… it is a lot of work
Concrete. My edging shown ended up warping with the Sun so the edges curled up. Someday I will cinch it up to the existing concrete and pour the other sides in with 6” borders
Nights are telework and weekends. A couple weeks. Worst of it was redoing my artificial turf, border, and digging some holes for the foundation - combination of piers and some of the corkscrew anchors included. I have horrible digging conditions from being in an old reclaimed gravel quarry
Wow Captain that is really nice and cool. I think I want one just for me 😀😀😀
Thx AM! Yes something we never had as kids.... want them to have something they can be active with, explore, and pretend! Cheers 🥂

@@samanthahe1724 hope you’re enjoying it now, it’s a lot of pieces and took me some time also!
Hi! I’m thinking of buying this, but i cannot find an option without the swings. Did yours come with it but you didnt install it ?
would this be big enough for boys ages 10-12? thanks this video was great
Looks beautiful
Thank you. You’d never know the grass is 4 yrs old now
IVF Twins Dad amazing looks fabulous still

Not seeing any ridge cap, guessing this just pours water during rain?
Nope not at all

No swing can be added… I would just make my own addition with sturdier wood
Did you stain the wood before you put it together?
It comes stained

Yes I did… it sits fine and has been trouble free ever since
Hi there, just a question: how is the quality after 2 years of using it? Thanks…
It's good - we’ve treated it with water seal and it’s really held up nicely

I wish they still sold this. Wanna sell it?
Great video I was wondering did ur play house have swings? I order one online line the pic shows it had swings. But I see the one u have doesn't
This model does not have swings
What are the dimensions of the base without the slide? As if you drew a rectangle around it with the rock wall and ladder.
About 12’-1” squared. With the slide that dimension is 14’-4”. It’s on their website also: www.backyarddiscovery.com/products/eagles-nest
Did you have trouble with the eagles nest? I’m almost done assembling and I’m noticing mine is sagging😫

Thank to your video I have purchased the playset and it looks fantastic, the app sure was not really accurate and some pieces and screws were missing
Awesome… mine came with many extra screws for most sets.. hope your kids are enjoying!!!
We're thinking about buying this for our daughter and twins, wondering how it's holding up in 2022

@@TwoTwinsDad are the kids still enjoying it? My twins are about the same age. Would they enjoy it at 7yr old?
For the border of the turf what would you recommend?
Concrete. My edging shown ended up warping with the Sun so the edges curled up. Someday I will cinch it up to the existing concrete and pour the other sides in with 6” borders
How long did it take to put together? Did you have help?
Nights are telework and weekends. A couple weeks. Worst of it was redoing my artificial turf, border, and digging some holes for the foundation - combination of piers and some of the corkscrew anchors included. I have horrible digging conditions from being in an old reclaimed gravel quarry
Dont see this exact one for sale. The link just goes to others by this brand. I like the round portion
Search Eagles Nest - Backyard Discovery - there are two versions. The lookout is really cool and tall, great views!!
Any chance you could tell me the inside dimensions? I’m specifically interested in the little nook to the right that’s next to the ladder. Thanks 😊
About 2 x 2
