Why is deped trying to insist opening classes if there is no concrete solution to covid 19 and there are no clear indications that we are in control of this pandemic. What is the reason in risking the health and lives of our youths and students? Is it because of monetary consideration. It is very premature at this point to anounnce reopening of classes. I have nothing against Miss Leonor Briones, but warm approval and admiration, however, for the benefits of the younger generations of FILIPINO, GIVING WAY FOR A YOUNGER AND ENERGETIC EDUCATION SECRETARY WILL BE A GREAT INSPIRATIONS TO MANY OF OUR YOUNG FILIPINOS. The suggestions of opening our schools in late August of this year without a proposed guidelines that is based on the advice of public health experts would be very critical. Policy makers need to be aware of the equivocal evidence when considering school opening by monitoring the conditions and taking steps to limit and mitigate any rebounds or outbreaks resurgence by restarting and returning to an earlier phase without proper assessment on the severity period of COVID-19. Even less disruptive social distancing interventions in schools require further consideration if restrictive social distancing policies cannot be implemented for long periods. The suggestions of Secretary Briones in adding the Virtual Learning Methods of instructions in our schools would be a great idea, however, majority( 90 per cent ) of our School Facilities are not yet ready nor it has been upgraded even to the minimum standard to accommodate and operate ON-LINE CLASSES OR VIRTUAL LEARNING. Our Teachers and instructor, majority of which (98 per cent) may have not yet even been introduce yet to this method of teaching and will need to undergo amount of training by taking special courses to learn how to navigate a Computer. Just to be clear- (in case you did'nt know where I am coming from) Online learning is education that takes place over the Internet. It is often referred to as “e-learning” among other terms. However, online learning is just one type of “distance learning” -the umbrella term for any learning that takes place across distance and not in a traditional classroom. In years past, instructors had to create their “virtual classrooms” from scratch which was difficult to begin with and very expensive. Today, an entire industry has emerged to do this for us. Course Management System (CMS) software is utilized by just about all colleges today in many western countries and part of asia (South Korea and Japan) CMS allow instructors to design and deliver their courses within a flexible framework that includes a number of different tools to enable learning and communication to occur. Secondly, and one of the most important considerations you need to do before introducing on line classes is the PROVISIONS OF THE LAW that would make VIRTUAL OR E-LEARNING a legally adapted method of instructions that would form part of the structure of the Law of the Land. ( Similar to the FERPA LAW OF THE UNITED STATES). I suggest you speak to Sen. Sonny Angara or Joel Villanueva because you will need ( a young and bright guys that understood e-learning) to introduce a Bill in Congress that would fund ( this is expensive madam) and regulate the programs, Madam Briones, sometimes giving up for the benefits of our children will give you a better sense of feelings than staying unmoved for the detriment of a modern educational structure. Help our kids and go, I guarantee, our next FILIPINO STUDENTS WILL BE MORE INTERACTIVE. THIS NEW PROSPECTIVE OF LEARNING WILL GIVE FULL BENEFITS TO OUR KIDS AND ALSO GIVE OUR YOUNG STUDENT A GOOD SENSE OF SATISFACTION AND CONFIDENCE WHEN THEY GRADUATE. IT IS NOW IN YOUR HANDS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. THANKS AND GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES
Madam Briones, your another suggestion for using radio and television network as a platform of learning methods and instructions would be far more difficult to achieve, or if not, is impossible to implement. How do you plan to teach Physics, calculous, Science and Mathematics in a Radio Station or in a TV Program? Mam, let's be honest to ourselves. Teaching is not the same as watching Barney and Sesame Street. Don't compromise the future of the Filipino youths. Let us give them a chance to be competitive again. Look at the pattern of employment opportunities our new graduates receive here and abroad. Something needs to be done to correct the culture in our system of education. The number one export we have now is human talent's, but it is so unfortunate to describe what kind of talent we are producing now ( you tell me, maybe my observation is wrong) . Thanks and regards
Thank you Dr. Briones. Thanks ulit Dr. Briones.. God bless po.. 💋💋❤️❤️❤️
Maybe Department of Education should also consider the fact that there are some provinces who are no longer infected by the pandemic.. In terms of that online based education, how sure are we that the students will be able to access online education given the fact that majority of the Filipino family had lost their jobs..

I believe that on our predicament at this moment, lives and safety of our students further outways education.

Briones.
Maybe Department of Education should also consider the fact that there are some provinces who are no longer infected by the pandemic.. In terms of that online based education, how sure are we that the students will be able to access online education given the fact that majority of the Filipino family had lost their jobs..

Madame Secretary Briones, you have forgotten that the end of classes for the SY 2020-2021 is July 10, 2021. Why state that the teachers shall come back on June when in fact they are still there! Opening the classes on August 24, 2021 will cut short the rest time of teachers. RA# 4670 declares that teachers shall have 70 days of paid long vacation plus 14 days of paid Christmas Vacation, the class after new year shall begin on the first Monday after the New Year's day. There will only be 45 days of vacation! 25 days are missing.
Why not follow the law so that the opening of classes be on September 20, 2021? Maybe by that time our youths would have been vaccinated as well. Then everybody will be relieved!

Vaccine development usually takes 5 years or more. So huwag na sila mag aral habang buhay?
@@ojsojs6004 that decision goes down to the parents. (Let's meet at the middle ground, done).
@@Rozka yup. I am just sharing informations sa hindi nakakaalam. I am just saying fatal eto sa over 60 years old. I am not saying na hindi na mag ka covid ang bata, pero sa dami ng namatay sa Italy ay walang batang namatay at majority ay over 60 years old ang namatay.
But it is up to the parents kung papasukin nila anak nila or hindi.
Philippines is not ready for online classes...
Wifi not stable, students not ready... this needs time to develop. This will not be efficient, i am giving hope for online studies, but not this abrupt.
Reconsider, kung sino man ung mga nasa taas.
Virus in Philippines is still increasing, we dont see a flat line...
Sana naman pagisipan ng maayos to.
Do not force the issue, this will lead to bullying, sa mga di makapag enroll, sa mga di makapag take schools online kase di ready. This will lead to sayang ang perang pinag enroll kase nawalang ng gana ang studyante sa online schooling...
I see more cons than pros in this system... pag isipan nyo ng maigi... Philippines is not ready...

There were too many options to learn. May virtual and online learning platform naman. And as i said, it is only an Option. Learning must continue.
Hindi natin alam kung anong takbo ng covid 19 by that time.

No work no pay.

Watching from Mis. Or.
We all knew sobrang delikado ng face to face kasi buhay nakataya, at sana naman alam ninyo rin pros and cons kapag pinush ninyo ang online classes.

Walang positive covid cases at walang asymptomatic. Praying for the cure at vaccine.
