The UK Soul crowd have been fans of Ronnie McNeir for some time. His (first?) 60s recording "Sitting In My Class" was a massive Northern Soul hit in 1976, now regarded as a classic - however he was already known via recordings on RCA, Prodigal, Motown and (now rare) 70s cuts on Tortoise and Settting Sun. His 90s albums/CDs on the UK Expansion label are up to his usual high standard too. Spread the word!
Ronnie work for me many years ago in nite club in cleveland, ohio. He was a huge susses there. He is certainly under-rated. Plus he is a good person to boot. He was like brother to me. His music is always loved by those who experience his voice.

Ronnie McNeir is a tremendous and vastly underrated talent - international recognition for the man is long overdue. Sadly he will probably only become appreciated outside Soul circles after some lesser individual "samples" one of his old recordings.
