Appearently. Daron also confirmed that everything on the album is from 2012. "Yeah," he said. "I played everything on it. I went into the studio and recorded an album in less than 10 days. I played all the instruments - the drums, everything - and I've just been sitting on it for six years. [Laughs]"
Anyway there is a old interview where he sayd that he loves the drums, probably his favorite instrument but his parents didn`t buy him drums since u cant turn em off.

Gie mou is great cover from a greek song. It is actually a very sad story of a father who understands the pain his son is going through by making the wrong choices in his young life and that he would like to ease his pain if he could return to him.. pain

"Gie mou"
It's an old Greek song. It means "My Son." My uncle spent a lot of time in Greece, so he brought to the United States a lot of Greek music. As a kid I would listen to a lot of that music. That stuck with me. I decided to do an instrumental version of that song because I always loved the melody. I had no idea what he was singing, what he was saying. It's a really pretty song and it's a sad song. My guitar influence has a lot of bouzouki in it. I always loved this song, and I wanted to do an instrumental because I don't sing in Greek. It's one of my favorite parts of the album because it's so unexpected.

I just listened to the album and it was AMAZING! It's probably better than the first one. Worth waiting for this. Lives, Angry Guru, Dictator, Guns Are Loaded, Till the End and We Won't Obey are my favourite tracks on it! Daron, you're fucking awesome.

It's sad to say too because this not close at all, especially without the harmonies and Serj. The music isn't that close either, though.

sadicjoker People assume System must sound the same when they return. Scars has kept that System sound because Daron's backing vocals and guitar made up most of how Systems last 2 albums sounded, but thats far from their fullest sound. Scars is a good continuation of that era, but Serj is pushing his creativity and vocal talent across multiple genres, and he doesn't want to stop that just yet. Theres nothing wrong with that. I love Scars' music but its so close to Hypnotize/Mesmerize that it might not as well even be new music, you understand. Serj's solo stuff at least has the feel of NEW music. I hope for a new System album, but I wouldn't want to stifle Serj's or Daron's creative paths - both of which are quite different from each other, and enjoyable on different levels. I lean towards Serj, but I want a full System back with everyone's sound.

It's good to hear new music that's worth a shit. Someone who creates art with their heart. You can feel it in the music and hear it in his voice. Thanks to Daron and Scars for being bold enough to be themselves and care enough about this world to gift it with a beautiful gift.

For me, this is Scars on Broadway's "Toxicity". Every song is a banger
Fun fact. Most of the band of SOAD wanted to get together and make a new album, but with Serj still not into the idea of making new System music, Daron instead used all the written songs for Scars on Broadway new album.
So this is a close we’ll ever get to a new SOAD album until Serj every decides to ever gets involved.

Senad Dzananović I read this on serj's Facebook post which was posted about 3 days before this album dropped. It's on his page if you have FB you have to scroll and find it but I'm sure it won't take more than 2 minutes, plus it's a long post so it'll be easy to find

I really appreciate Daron and Scars On Broadway for putting this together. Beautiful melodies and amazing lyrics that I am after. I should admit though, SOAD especially Daron and Serj have had such an amazing complementary integration that created those masterpieces back in the day. Serj is and amazing vocalist with a broad vocal range. I can clearly see his powerful vocie missing here. Like if someone like Serj sing some verses of this album it would be like %100 cool as as a SOAD album. With all that said, this is a great album! We love you Daron and Serj and respect your choice to not releasing SOAD albums for now. You will remain legends forever!
