We must be eternally grateful to Ms. E.L James for writing the blockbuster novel "Fifty Shades of Grey". The general consensus is that this is not a great book with little literary merit. However, through her book, Ms James has introduced millions of readers (mainly female) to the magnificent music of Bach and Chopin. Thanks to her book, the piano and classical piano music is now sexy!

The piece featured in this video was composed by Alessandro Marcello, but arranged for piano by Bach (BWV 974).

I took this photograph in Palma on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca.
The photograph features a sculpture in the courtyard of the now deceased artist Joaquin Torrents Llado (1946-1993). The sculpture depicts a mourner leaning against a coffin, hair falling over her lowered head, fingers wedged in pain, turned into stone.

Great book, despite critics I love it. Benedetto Marcello's music was a former soundtrack (by Stelvio Cipriani) in Anonimo Veneziano film 1970 movie with Florinda Bolkan and Tony Musante. This music has been originally written for Oboe and orchestra, A wonderful, philological interpretation of it can be found looking for "I Solisti Veneti-Concerto Per Oboe In D. Minore"
