That, as well as the Electrocharge incantation having an AoE that does almost no damage, with some Spirit Ashes like Florissax barely doing any damage with her attacks makes me think that a couple things in the DLC don't have a calculation set correctly.

Meteoric Ore Blade/Moonveil + Wing of Astel (w/ Powerstanced Cold Falchion) + Magic infused Greatsword/Royal Greatsowrd + Dark Moon Greatsword. These 4 weapon combinations were what I used for my Int build and I loved it. A good variety of speeds in attacks, solid AoW/movesets, and all scale well with Int so I wasn't lacking in damage. Once I got DMGS that became my go-to for the rest of the game (with an Colossal sword for mobs/horseback), but before then shield + (dual) Katanas and dual Curved Swords put in a ton of work. Moonveil in particular got me through the double Crucible Knight and Twin Gargoyles with its AoW being fast, consistent damage as a decent range.
@@gunnarschlichting9886I really tried to like dmgs but every time I tried to use it’s projectile for anything slightly above or below me, like on a small hill or stairs, it was completely unusable. It would just hit the ground. WoA with the occasional cast of night comet was all I ever wanted to use. Also tried going back to moonveil a few times and just kept going right back to WoA
I'm really debating on doing one of the following: dual wield Wing of Astel + cold infused Scavenger's Curved Sword using Rotten Winged Sword Insignia + Assasin's Cerulean Charm, OR what was listed here, which was Wing of Astel using the Two Handed Sword Talisman + Blade of Mercy. Been following since the DLC, easily the best content creator for Elden ring out there. I love that you include which talisman work with which weapon AND compare to other weapons. Keep it up, excited to see what videos you drop next !
Kinda just what happens when you make a greatsword that does the most versatile damage type in the game, that has lifeleech on hit and kill, very high MV Ash, and specs into the most versatile build type in the game.
@@MrNuclearz To be fair, I'd look at it more as a compensation nerf since they did reduce its damage and removed the knockback, but we just happened to also get things that indirectly (or directly in the case of Talisman of the Dread) buff it.
Although blasphemous blade is insanely op, i believe that it only needs a slight nerf tbh. It isnt as absolutely broken as something like the pre patch perfume bottles and the devs intended for it to be the way it was(unlike perfume bottles)
For me : Claws of Night is now the best boss melter. If you are struggling on Radahn get a good shield and holy damage negation and spam the scattershot throw skill to literally destroy radahn with ease and any other boss too.
@@terrycruise-zd5tw Honestly I think Claws of Night should be higher. He initially rated them highly as well, but during testing decided they were weaker. However, he was using stuff like the spear talisman during testing, which doesn't work with the ash of war at all. Also, while the damage does fall off at range as Youwy said, the strength of the AoW is that the bleed buildup is the same even if you just barely connect a single dagger from long range. So in addition to the pure damage, the benefits to mobility and spacing of a mid range bleed weapon are really high and not to be overlooked. For anyone interested, I posted a detailed breakdown of what does and doesn't boost the ash of war damage on the fextra Claws of Night page.
It's not really a specific weapon, but a spear with Ice Spear is easily in the top 5 best weapons in the game and barely anyone ever mentions it. Insane damage for the FP, also quickly causes frostbite and also has some of the highest poise damage of anything at range. It beats half of the weapons here easily, especially those listed for INT.
Haven't tried it but I agree a lot of INT weapons get overrated. I mean, I love Moonlight Greatsword for RP but it probably would just barely make it into my top 50 weapons.
@@fragtal177 No. I haven't actually experimented with all stats that can benefit from it, but DEX and STR work as well. The reason I mentioned INT is just because one of the easiest ways to get a good Ice Spear is from a Clayman's Harpoon, which scales very well with INT. I'm not 100% how the projectile scales either. I believe it's solely based off of the AR of the weapon itself, which means whatever stat you can get the best scaling with from whatever spear or halberd you want to use should be fine. For reference, I actually do pretty decent damage on my STR/FTH build that has Ice Spear on a Halberd. I don't have it optimized for Ice Spear either, but it's still a really good AoW even unoptimized. For comparison, Glintstone Pebble is the most efficient Sorcery as far as damage vs cost. Ice Spear optimized for INT ends up slightly higher in efficiency but on top of that can cause frostbite and quickly break poise.
@@Kimbie Same. I understand why it's "strong" on paper, but in practice it just never works out like it should. I always get the weapon, upgrade it and then stop using it because I have better options. For frost, Ice Spear is simply better.
that type of stuff would be in the ash of war tier list, he does acknowledge how good it is. It is ridiculously good but im not sure about it being on this list, maybe🤷

@@andy_xr3425 Double seppuku with blood infusion. To use it on both swords you need to (assuming you're using an xbox controller) hold Y and press left bumper to 2 hand your left sword, use seppuku, then hold Y and press left bumper again to return to dual wielding them, use seppuku once more and now both of your swords should be buffed. Keep in mind that if you want to use a buff like golden vow you should use it beforehand since putting your sword away to use your seal removes the seppuku buff on it.
Greatsword of Solitude my beloved, hits as hard as a colossal sword with the swing speed of a regular greatsword. Which is quite insane. Also probably the highest physical defense blocking weapon in the game too, so it can work as a shield pretty much. Maybe not a top 10 contender but at least an honorable mention. Think it's amazing.
My favorite for the dlc as well. Moveset is great, wide swing and vertical slice. It has a nice ranged attack that can be followed up with a gap closing heavy that jumps you in the air so often you avoid being hit. Love to pair with with the solitude set and eclipse great shield for the dark knight vibe.
Wing of Astel has been my favorite weapon in the game ever since I found it in my first play through. Made me giddy to see it so high on your list. Many people sleep on it, but it’s SUCH a workhorse of a weapon. Also, it’s AoW is just beautiful to look at.😁
One curious thing I noticed is that at max level the best weapons change completely. Blasphemous Blade is no longer the undisputed strongest weapon, PvE wise, as the weapons with multiple scaling sources get absurdly strong!!
no colossal swords is crazy. i’d easily pick the range, damage, blocking stats, talismans/ashes, and ease of use of the guts greatsword over the bottom half of this list. can’t really argue against any of these weapons though, they’re all broken
The star fist is AMAZING... unless you fighting promised consort. Using a charged heavy requires you to aim for his legs, standing in front of him and doing a charged heavy will miss him because it just goes between his legs. Overall, for easier hits, jump attacks are better when using star fist to kill promised consort (even though I have not killed him, I do not like his phase 2)
You should try the same with one Blood Greatsword and savage lion claw and then all the damage on attack buffs. Like rotten wing insignia, Millicent talisman, thorny cracked tear. Savage lions claw hits exactly 3 times so it procs every single talisman and thorny tear. I’m hitting an AR of over 2000 in the base game with this set up lol it’s nuts
Can't refuse that Nagakiba is really good and versatile for every build. Other weapons have their own weakness except for blasphemous blade. Like bleed doesn't work with enemy that cannot proc it or wing of astel didn't work for agile enemy. However, Nagakiba with changes infuse/ash of war can be a solution for every thing.
Moghs spear helped me so much. Its skill can attack through walls, around corners and even some enemies far above you. I just flat out cheesed some of those strong elite enemies 😎
Wing of astel has always been one of my favorite weapons. The ash of war absolutely trivializes the giant fire furnaces in the dlc. Just sit under its leg, dodge when needed, and let it rip with the ash of war.
I feel like this ranking is slanted more towards the spam special style of play. Starfist is absolutely insane with the skill/punish style of play because of how fast the charged attack is, how cheap the stam cost is and how much stance it does. Bonus points if you pair it with a shield and guard counter which I haven't seen anyone do even though it's hilariously effective. Mohg's spear is similarly ridiculous with its extreme range and ability to punish hard with the special on large bosses. Put it behind a greatshield and walk through everything in the game including consort.
thanks for the vid. im new to the channel and been watching lots of your content as i go through a fresh playthrough of the standard game preparing my build for the dlc
the only weapon that wasn't on here and I feel like should have been is the misericorde. it isn't broken per say, and a lot of the things that used to make it broken (FotR, glintblade phalanx) aren't broken anymore, but it's still the best weapon for really any parry build, and is very good as a secondary weapon in any stance break build
I just came in search for cool weapons to use in a third play on the DLC, I found people still arguing about skill to beat the bosses. It really isn't that hard if you are bad in the game. You can always search for some help in talisman if you don't want to read them or test them. I tried some stratagies against the last boss. Things like big shields and counters, dodging attacks and giving criticals with dex, using only summons while healing and buffing them and sometimes ranged attacks, parrying most attacks. Some worked better than others but with suficient luck and understand of mechanics you can defeat him. Like understanding the best roll for and attack usually is the direction the attack is coming from because of eye frames. The DLC and the game give you so many ways to approach fights, so many buffs, tiers, talisman, summons. After 1 or 2 tries you can pretty much guess how the boss acts during the fight. If you are dying too soon, than maybe you just didn't level up vigor enough or can't even use a decent shield to test the boss. You just have to be smart in how to tackle puzzles, because each boss is one, or you can just use a broken build like so many others. Playing it pretty much blind, I think I died something like 25 times in the entire DLC first playthrough. I just searched abut the fire golens because I though I was missing something after everthing but heavy hitters in poise did anything to them. These kind of games are not exactly about getting good. You do have to be decent enough to win against some bosses, but if you play careful enough and think how to tackle the challanges, most encounters can be trivialized. You would only die when you really mess things up, like trying to desperatly heal. EVERY encounter in the entire game punishes you when you turn desperate and start rolling to heal. I remember when I played bloodborne for the first time and beat all bosses of base game and DLC without parrying because I didn't like the mechanic. The only really hard one was orphan. Parry trivialized that thing. And I still think he is way more difficult than Redahn.
I love nagakiba+blood blade but sometimes it feels like the startup animation is too slow for mobile bosses as the fall off of the projectile is really high and low range
Was thinking about what my next build should be, leaning towards the marias executioner sword or dual scavengers but that wing of astel looks pretty cool. Might have to try it out.
marais is good but the timing can be annoying to get down, dual scavengers is insane dps, really broken, use it if you havent before its fun but then very boring very quick. My vote is for wings of astel, the way he uses it in the vid is how i played thru with it, L2 into charged heavy, or just spam L2 all day for insane dmg on big bosses.
NGL. I am surprised that no one is talking about how beautiful Youwys characters are 6:56. No wonder the bosses die so fast. They get distracted by that beautiful face.
Rolled through the entire DLC with a lightning nagakiba wit unsheathe, definitely one of my favorites. I also had a friend drop me another so I could powerstance two lightning nagas🔥
Magma Blade could be the Faith alternative to Wing of Astel. Its weapon ash functions similar with the sword hitting and the lava hitting. Bonus is DLC has Talisman of the Dread for 15% more lava damage.
I'm just happy a DLC weapon made it into the top 10. Even if only one could make it, now we just need some buffs to some of the other DLC weapons so we can start seeing more of them on these kinds of lists.
Farming sacred bloody flesh is definitely worth it for any arcane/bleed build, best farm is river mouth cave the blood fiends won’t follow you into the boss area so they’re free kills
I agree with most of this list. I’m assuming a “best weapons in pvp”vid would be separate from this list. However some perform great in pve and pvp as well. Moonveil and RoB for example.
Double Slash Ash of War on Nagakiba is also really strong, you can proc bleed with 2 ash of war hits. Combined with buffs and other bleed Talismans it’s good late game aswell
About the Bloodfiend's Arm, i think the "bug fix" naming is legit. If the smithscript weapon infusions were so too that is. Infusions seem to have caused some problems to me, so its safe to assume they fixed the bug and nerfed the bloodloss build up effect of the heavy attacks alongside it.
Ngl I expected the Sword Lance to be here. That weapon is fundamentally broken. Crazy good strength scaling, heavy attacks have great spear hyperarmor, status effect buildup of a colossal weapon, obviously has pierce damage
He said it was good but not on the level of these weapons.. These weapons are technically broken, and mathematically too. Like Blasphemous makes the DLC like base game but easier. by spamming L2 and healing through boss attacks. And most of the weapons here have insane Stance damage despite being nerfed a lot of times. Sword Lance definitely Great if it's a list of 20 weapons it would be in there but the ones here are just on another level in terms of "PVE."
Wild that this list is just the same as the one you made a few months ago lol. All that changed was some items making some weapons better, like the dancer set and rakshasa set or the new bloody flesh item
Thoughts on Radahn's Lord Great Sword (final boss weapon)? I haven't seen any build around that but it looks interesting especially the weapon Art. Still not finding concrete info whether it scales with INT or FAI ...I might just cough up a larvae tear and do a build and see it fares.
2:21 I assume you meant that as in without infusions, but for arguents sake, I disagree. You had a few in the base game via Clayman's Harpoon and Erdsteel Dagger (put flame art/sacred on harpoon and cold/magic on dagger) and now we have tons more. For example, Gazing Finger, Madding Hand, Carian Thrusting shield (when infused with sacred/flame art), Black Steel Greathammer (infused with magic/cold), the entirety of the Smithscript line of weapons and probably some more that I'm forgetting.
It was initially at number 9 but I wanted to move SONAF down and the video was basically done so for convenience sake I just switched them. But they both just as good as one another. I wouldn’t care if someone put deaths poker higher.

Any thoughts? I'm also trying to throw in a magic infused Milady as an additional weapon, haha.
Your channel has been blowing up I’m so happy to see it. The rise of youwy 🐐

Blasphemous blade is just insane... When the dlc starting kicking my ass i pulled out old reliable.
Kinda just what happens when you make a greatsword that does the most versatile damage type in the game, that has lifeleech on hit and kill, very high MV Ash, and specs into the most versatile build type in the game.
@@EmptyTenementSpirit it's just weird how it was barely nerfed, not that I'm asking for that....
If you are struggling on Radahn get a good shield and holy damage negation and spam the scattershot throw skill to literally destroy radahn with ease and any other boss too.
or just use raptor talons with endure
Yeah, claws of night are low key wildly OP. You can do the Messmer or Radahn fights in under 60 seconds.
Fire Knight's GS and Black Steel GH in the corner:
Love the hammer!
fire knights greatsword and falx are my two favorite dlc weapons by far, unfortunately it’s one or the other cuz fkgs is strength
@@mushroomy9899it gets an A scaling in dex it’s slightly less AR total pretty sure but it still hits hard
@@ThisIsCrazyGamer yeah idk
@@mushroomy9899fkgs is a flame art ( faith weapon ) does okay with fire infusion too but even going str will net less AR
great as usual
It's not really a specific weapon, but a spear with Ice Spear is easily in the top 5 best weapons in the game and barely anyone ever mentions it. Insane damage for the FP, also quickly causes frostbite and also has some of the highest poise damage of anything at range. It beats half of the weapons here easily, especially those listed for INT.
Do you need to invest in INT for it?
Deaths Poker mentioned very happy
Every playthrough I’ve ever had I’ve used Deaths Poker, and without fail I’ve always checked ranking videos to see if it’s on there
Glad to see you, old friend. Thanks for letting me do 37011 damage to Metyr in one combo.
Love the deflect tear, can just spam block or time it right so you can stack the buff. Just a fun mechanic to play with.
Good to see you went with bloodfiends arm instead of the giant crusher for the guard counter section
15:45 I've got a clip of powerstanced scavenger's swords shredding through NG+5 Messmer in like 25 seconds lmao
a ng+5 inst that high, theres a reddit trend that show the scalling of a ng
tried them on ng+4 shredded every boss in under 30 sec apart from radahn and sunflower by far the strongest build for bosses that can bleed in my opinion
@@yesno9383I’d say the impenetrable thorns sorcery is better cos it was able to 3 shot ng+4 radahn for me without too many buffs
which ash of war are u using on it if you dont mind telling me?
@@andy_xr3425 Double seppuku with blood infusion. To use it on both swords you need to (assuming you're using an xbox controller) hold Y and press left bumper to 2 hand your left sword, use seppuku, then hold Y and press left bumper again to return to dual wielding them, use seppuku once more and now both of your swords should be buffed. Keep in mind that if you want to use a buff like golden vow you should use it beforehand since putting your sword away to use your seal removes the seppuku buff on it.
I'v beaten the final DLC boss 4 times. Blas Blade by far gave me my quickest kill, took less than 40 seconds w/ buffs. What a ridiculous weapon.
Glad the Gargoyle Twin Blade got a brief mention. I cut the final dlc boss to shreds with one of those paired with twinned knight swords yesterday.
I had fun actually being there for the stream for once
Man ngl it's cool seeing footage when I was there for the recording.
AoW is not that great, it's just storm blade but slower...

Dude, you're awesome! Great content. Love your style.
Youwy the amount of work you put in is nothing short than astounding.
Your strength befits a crown.
Wing of Astel has been my favorite weapon in the game ever since I found it in my first play through.
Made me giddy to see it so high on your list. Many people sleep on it, but it’s SUCH a workhorse of a weapon. Also, it’s AoW is just beautiful to look at.😁
I’m glad to see your starting to get recognized you make so much content it’s insane
One curious thing I noticed is that at max level the best weapons change completely. Blasphemous Blade is no longer the undisputed strongest weapon, PvE wise, as the weapons with multiple scaling sources get absurdly strong!!
Well done for growing your channel so much you totally deserve it your videos are awesome and straight forward without bs
no colossal swords is crazy. i’d easily pick the range, damage, blocking stats, talismans/ashes, and ease of use of the guts greatsword over the bottom half of this list. can’t really argue against any of these weapons though, they’re all broken
Please do more of these! I love your rankings but now I need to know the best of everything in the main game and dlc combined 🙏
Nice video man. Would like to see a video about the top 10 weapons for PVP (duels, invasions)
The star fist is AMAZING... unless you fighting promised consort. Using a charged heavy requires you to aim for his legs, standing in front of him and doing a charged heavy will miss him because it just goes between his legs. Overall, for easier hits, jump attacks are better when using star fist to kill promised consort (even though I have not killed him, I do not like his phase 2)
me still primarily using the bloodhound's fang LOL. appreciate all these videos
I remember when on launch, Elden Beast could bug out and stay stance broken forever, and Wing of Astel just deleted it for me. Good times.
I would never have thought Marais sword's skill counts as a dance, even after noticing it has "dancing blade" in the name.
damn the ash of war listing edit was really cool nice job
Also thanks to you i could finally beat the DLC final boss (I had no idea the Wing of Astel was that good and my character was already Int/Dex). Tysm
youre a monster for releasing these packed, high-quality videos every day
No greatsword 😭, I love dual wielding guts greatsword with bleed infusion. Literally destroys everything at 90 str, dex, arc.
It would’ve made it if I had a top 15 list
What about bloodhounds fang?Do you think it's atleast in the top 20?
Wing of astel has always been one of my favorite weapons. The ash of war absolutely trivializes the giant fire furnaces in the dlc. Just sit under its leg, dodge when needed, and let it rip with the ash of war.
Youwy thank you for making this video, this helped me pick a perfectly broken class for me
I feel like this ranking is slanted more towards the spam special style of play.
Goated vid 🔥🔥 (haven't seen It yet)
thanks for the vid. im new to the channel and been watching lots of your content as i go through a fresh playthrough of the standard game preparing my build for the dlc
Can you please make a tierlist for the top ten sorceries including base game and dlc
the only weapon that wasn't on here and I feel like should have been is the misericorde. it isn't broken per say, and a lot of the things that used to make it broken (FotR, glintblade phalanx) aren't broken anymore, but it's still the best weapon for really any parry build, and is very good as a secondary weapon in any stance break build
Dude I am on vacation and I have been enjoying your videos and livestreams quite a lot, keep up the great job!
Have been waiting for this Thanks so much for the work you do for us❤!
Man, after watching your stream I thought Giant-Crusher will def be on the list. But chicken leg is too op, might even catch an actual nerf.
Goated video goated streamer day 18
Love your videos, Youwy ❤
Love ur streams ❤
Was thinking about what my next build should be, leaning towards the marias executioner sword or dual scavengers but that wing of astel looks pretty cool. Might have to try it out.
marais is good but the timing can be annoying to get down, dual scavengers is insane dps, really broken, use it if you havent before its fun but then very boring very quick. My vote is for wings of astel, the way he uses it in the vid is how i played thru with it, L2 into charged heavy, or just spam L2 all day for insane dmg on big bosses.
@@Hax4Snax I think i will try it thanks for the input
Finally, a top weapon list by the only youtuber I trust
NGL. I am surprised that no one is talking about how beautiful Youwys characters are 6:56. No wonder the bosses die so fast. They get distracted by that beautiful face.
great list per usual
Rolled through the entire DLC with a lightning nagakiba wit unsheathe, definitely one of my favorites. I also had a friend drop me another so I could powerstance two lightning nagas🔥
Do you have a build guide for that 2h wings of astel build? That looks amazing but I'm not sure how you built out the rest of it. Thanks!
Notice how str/arc build are getting overpowered
Moonveil and RoB for example.
milady not being there is wild
Double Slash Ash of War on Nagakiba is also really strong, you can proc bleed with 2 ash of war hits. Combined with buffs and other bleed Talismans it’s good late game aswell
About the Bloodfiend's Arm, i think the "bug fix" naming is legit. If the smithscript weapon infusions were so too that is. Infusions seem to have caused some problems to me, so its safe to assume they fixed the bug and nerfed the bloodloss build up effect of the heavy attacks alongside it.
Good shit bro
doesnt wing of astel charged attack do 11+22+5+5=43 stance damage?
I engaged the corrupted tree on the DLC with the Blasphemous Blade. All of its phases literally died with ONE l2
Getting real tired of weapon nerfs in pve
Great Stars w/ Crucible Knight armour looks so godly. Bloody good bonks.
Bleed Rusted anchor with wild strikes gotta be on here. Literally kills everything
It's not an easy build but I've been using a poison build with a PMF nagakiba and PFBT Danes footwork. Excellent weapons.
I am doing a new character that’s going to use Swords of night and flame. What should my points be
Ngl I expected the Sword Lance to be here.
@@marclenraymagdaraog691 Yeah I know, these weapons are truly made for those who refuse to use their brain, just spam one single attack and that's it.
Top yap as always. Fell asleep to your live stream again lol it’s a daily now.
Ancient meteoric great sword better be on here
Would you say Ordovis Greatsword and Envoy Long Horn are top 15?
I like bleed infused venomous fangs with the poison hand in the offhand. What are your thoughts?
Wild that this list is just the same as the one you made a few months ago lol. All that changed was some items making some weapons better, like the dancer set and rakshasa set or the new bloody flesh item
Thoughts on Radahn's Lord Great Sword (final boss weapon)? I haven't seen any build around that but it looks interesting especially the weapon Art. Still not finding concrete info whether it scales with INT or FAI ...I might just cough up a larvae tear and do a build and see it fares.
Vykes war spear #1 obviously
I use to love that running Finger set. Can't stand poke attacks, it should behave like a twin blade.
2:21
I assume you meant that as in without infusions, but for arguents sake, I disagree.
How are you using the jellyfish shield skill and the skill of the dark moon greatsword?
What build were you using nagakiba blood blade?
I think Sacred Relic Sword is so underrated.
Im curious why Marais over Deaths Poker? Marais needs full combo setup to be good while Deaths Poker hardly needs anything to do similar damage
It was initially at number 9 but I wanted to move SONAF down and the video was basically done so for convenience sake I just switched them. But they both just as good as one another. I wouldn’t care if someone put deaths poker higher.
@@youwy Fair enough 👍
Marias just decimates Deaths Poker in terms of damage and it's not even hard to pull off.
@@SurfingInt3rnet Yeah seriously...when he was testing it against Messmer he basically one-shot the second phase as soon as the first snake explosion ended. 18k damage in one charged hit.
