you try to hard, ppl feel that.
Maybe use a "Life In Russia T-shirt" and relax more when askin ppl?
Hi Sam. I am from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 and I love and appreciate your videos. I have never been to Russia and have yearned for years to visit. I wish more people from the west would watch videos like yours to educate people on life in Russia and help dispel their ignorance about this beautiful country.
Thank you! It's up to youtube to show the content to more people! I only handle the creation part! Have a great weekend!
Train Vladivostok - Moscow please
some Aussies are already here building the Farm of their dream, while you still "yearn" 😆c'mon man, you can do it!
@@megaotstoy he wants to visit not build a farm, most Australians are farmers or convicts but not all of them
@@VanoinRussia-hj5sf Oh, didn't know that, so sorry about it 😂👍
Keep the faith Sam, we appreciate all your efforts.
Thanks, I just wanted to show that it's not all roses!
I would be suspicious if a stranger offers me a free ice cream. Russian folks are very alert and intelligent. 🐈😂
100% though it's from the ice cream store that I'm standing next to
i wouldbt be sus about it , i would talk and accpet at least talking to the person who invites me or stops me , and no that doesnt mean the people are very alert or smart in my opinion
Hi Sam From San Diego, CA. I Love your videos and appreciate the relentless effort behind your work. keep fighting the good fight !
I appreciate that! I just wanted to highlight the reality
Sam you are very diligent although peanuts are flowing in. Thanks for your hard work to keep us informed. God bless you.🐈😃
$700 for the entire month!!!!! Thanks mate!
@@SamsRussianAdventures So are you saying that you earn as much as 700 American dollars for these You tube videos?
I would probably react the same way, Sam. All my life as a kid I was told never to accept candy or icecream from a stranger and that is stuck in my head now mate. 😂😂😂
I agree mate. I just wanted to show people as so many viewers think that I'm so popular and everyone wants to speak with me!!!!!!
Especially from a foreigner who pronounces здравствуйте in an almost incomprehensible accent!
As the Russians say "chargeless cheese is only in a mousetrap". That is why nobody took that delicious ice-cream for free I guess.🙂
On some days everyone takes it! On others nobody!!!!
In German they also say: "but only the second mouse gets the cheese"
Sam for what it's worth. I learned so much about Vladimir and it's people. Many UA-camrs cover Mosco and St. Petersburg, but not in so much detail as you with Vladimir.
I understand the many difficulties that a youtuber can face in producing a video, especially in carrying out interviews on the street. But from what I can see in most of your videos, people are very kind to you, as you are so good and kind, a real English man!! Thanks a lot Sam for your job and keep it up! 🍀🌻🪻
Thank you very much! It completely depends! Some days are like this and other days are easier!
I think people get scared away by the ice cream offer- Russians have been dealing with a lot of fraud recently and might think it is some kinf of scam. I personaly would run away))
Enjoy all your GREAT Videos
From the 🇺🇸 USA
Thank you very much!
To be honest,Sam.I am camera shy too.
I completely understand! When I first started to make videos I felt like I couldn't breathe in front of the camera!
It is not easy at all! You are doing your best!
Take care of yourself
Thank you, I will
I can only speak for myself. The first thing you learn from your mother as a girl. Dont talk to strangers! Its following you in your adult life to be careful!
Sure! But it’s completely random. One day everyone will answer! The next day nobody!
@@SamsRussianAdventures Perhaps thats why we should conclude its not random and there is some kind of force in play. 😄 Higly unlikely that the odds shift so much with all the people in the city.
Many people are truly not aware of how much preparation, work, time and efforts it takes for even a single video to produce.
Appreciate your work
👍
No matter the video, your efforts are very appreciated. Keep going, Sam. There's no telling where this could take you. Blagosloveniya.
This reaction I would get as well. I'm a tall guy, glasses, deep voice. I'm sure Lisa with Love (that's another UA-camr in Russia) wouldn't have this. She looks way more like a promo-team girl.
100% everyone lets their guard down with girls!
What a beautiful day over there Sam, - sunny day, stunning skies - and a great video also. TY. You are always polite and respectful with everyone, i have never seen you otherwise.
Sam stick with what your doing it's so good 👍👍👍👍
Wow your making videos fast =) good stuff mate. Almost everyday when I check your channel there is something new.. when do you sleep ? Solar panels ?
Kudos to you, Sam. Unless I get the usual body cues (eye contact, smile, arms not crossed, etc.), I find it extremely difficult to approach someone cold to start up a conversation--I get anxious and feel kinda dumb 😅. So I have mad respect for people like yourself who can get past those initial feelings and do it on the fly on a daily basis. 👍🏾
Sam typically make fine folks feel irie irie irieee.
Everyone refuses to eat such a proverb: Free cheese is only in the mousetrap. As a child, mothers always said not to trust strangers, even they are kind to you. They also refuse because people are busy and there is no time. Sam, I'm waiting for you to interview those who run the country and build it (Russian Men) to make it easier for you, do it in time the time of holidays, festivals, weekend festivities where people have fun
On another day I’ve given away ice cream and everyone has accepted!!!!!
Thanks for showing us how hard it can be sometimes to be a UA-camr. The important thing is that you like what you do, how you do it and that you are comfortable with it.
Maybe you should do a video interview with a few people about this topic. Why, as we saw now, so many people say no to a kind gesture. Are they suspicious, are they just to busy or are they not used to kindness.
Sam, next time just try to offer strangers (identified as male) a free beer... you will see a stunning difference at once 😎
especially on Saturday morning
@@Chaldon-hl6yk or a Friday night... if there is any difference
They will all say no!!!
@@SamsRussianAdventures C'mon, just give it a try! I can't believe it 😁
Hey Sam I also produce content in Russia that is not the usual stuff. It may not get as many views but its way more fun to make!!
I was living in east Europe for 5 years and your right about people not wanting to speak. In my opinion they are very cold. You have a lot of confidence to walk up to strangers most other men would never approach strangers on the street but its the best way to vlog your videos to keep viewers engaged. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Sam we all have days like that at least the refusals were polite in the UK now you’re more likely to get a straight forward F*** off!
Looking forward to the next upload
I would get a few of them if I was in a different location!
Appreciate your efforts keep going
Thanks a lot! I just wanted to show that it’s not a 10 minute job that many seem to think of it as!
Love your work as always mate. Maybe put some onto a tray ready to taste as more of a free sample, that may work.
I'm surprised the ice cream vedor did't ask you to beat it :) Too bad though, clearly indicative of people not wanting to express their views and opinions openly. I'm always interested to see this exchange when you do get a conversation going.
You seem happy. You make great videos
Your persistence, those skies ( why haven't you over there the "always been so" Planes ""condensation's"" trails ?) and those friends... 😅 Really a nice time to watch your work.
It's your choice and vocation, Sam, so you'd rather embrace the cross 😉 We greet and salute you! 🫡
Hi Sam, work is four letter word! I would have an ice cream. See you next time. 😸
Stay positive Sam we love your channel and content
Well, thanks for your time, Sam. I'd love to start a channel, but I don't feel I would be very engaging or interesting. Plus, I would have no idea where to start. I would need to take a course.
I find your channel interesting when you do things in different areas like just walking down a street. Frankly I find going up to someone especially women comes across as a little cheesy. Dont get me wrong I understand from a previous video you did, that videos showing the attractiveness of Russian women is a pull for western men but to me your friend Russell Travels just showing every day aspects of Russian life like supermarket prices etc is interesting.
When shooting commercial photographs (in the U.S.) I will ask passersby if they wouldn’t mind being in my photos. If they agree I then need them to sign a release waiver indicating they give me permission to use their likeness in advertisements or brochures, etc. I use simple-worded postcard-sized release forms and offer them a $1 scratch-off lottery ticket in exchange for their time and permission. People seem most receptive when my request and my offer are presented simultaneously.
- hello, can I buy you an ice cream?
Icecream guy, watching this: for my business, its a free real estate
Wow Sam.. it seems almost like you were asking for money😂 …. I’m surprised the ice cream person didn’t kick you out of that area
Sam, Russians never offer to buy something (ice-cream,.. etc) to unfamiliar man or woman.
Russians are very proud and don't need such a "present" from unfamiliar man. (And from foreigner it is almost impossible)
So, do not be surprised that they refuse.
Last week I made a video in the same place and everyone accepted
You should just ask people questions and not offer them food. I would refuse food from a stranger, but if someone asks me interesting questions about my country I would answer them with pleasure
Many people refuse questions
Thats why the fences around the house
I like ice-cream !
Me too!!! But usually I just buy it for others
Sam, I bet if you asked kids, from your ice cream wouldn’t leave nothing 😂😂
Children cannot be filmed without parental consent
Sorry Sam. I would react same way.
I 100%! Agree!!!
Im stuck with my DIY raw files, hundreds of them on few harddrives, need to edit a lot. Main thing Im stuck is intro video with logo.
Hi Sam.
Mate why don't you have a sign near the ice cream stall saying some thing like. FREE ICE CREAM FOR UTUBE INTERVIEWS or something similar?
Worth a try? 😊
Good idea! Typically the people don’t want be interviewed and only allow it because they feel obliged to after I have given something to them. So I’m guessing they would just not take me up on the offer!
@SamsRussianAdventures give it a shot mate 😀
Best wishes .
Pack of old snobbynosed its probly not friendly area
@@martinlanigan803 i think your wrong mate. People take time to evaluate new situations,
a foreigner with a camera , offering free ice cream..... whats not normal with that
😊
If it's a woman walking alone they probably think it's a pickup tactic.
Sam, i wonder if you have a youtuber friend in UK, whom you could ask to make a similar video? It would be interesting to watch reaction of brits on the same experiment.
mabey people think it is a bit creepy/suspicious if somebody gives them free ice cream
What if you try with a signboard hand shape or something saying..would you like an ice cream?no tricks just free....no?..it's really challenging situation, anyway great video and take care mate...cheers
Yes i see that it's very Difficult to do. well done making video about refusal's was interesting even the couple who were on the cusp of choosing an ice cream "we will come back later" yeah right lol...
Yes! I’ll be back is only true if Arnold Swarchenegger says it!!!
Maybe ask what they think of Donald Trump or America. So much to like about Russia and its people. Your videos help us see the real Russia. Very helpful imo. We in America have terrible social problems. Poverty .Despair. Great social divides.
This was a bit different than the video the other day😂
Sure! Everyone just thinks that it’s easy to create this content!
Nothing is free these days so they must be wondering what are you gonna ask in return and don’t want to be obliged
I made a video last week and everyone accepted the ice cream 🍦
Maybe the word has already gotten around that you buy people something and ask questions along the way. I'm only halfway through the video and don't know all of your videos, but Vladimir isn't that big either.
I like your interviews, although I (much) prefer B Road Russia.
I’ve got loads of b road content to edit.
@@SamsRussianAdventures Very good, I'm looking forward to it. Thanks in advance Sam. I love the wide country.😊
@@isaakasimov2456 Dont get your hopes too high, hes been saying this for a long time 😅 Im not saying he is lying, just dont expect it any time soon.

You are different, firstly how would they really act if you told them that you were English, secondly mate, it’s very weird to just ask someone if they want an ice cream 🍦, it’s almost like asking kids if they want some sweets 🍭,, just really, it’s super strange…
I made a video last week at this exact same location and everyone accepted the ice cream and I made a good video. Also, everyone asked me where I was from and I told them I’m from England.
Leave those most decent Russian folks with your "ice cream for free alone" ...what absurd
No one says "hello" back. Zero social skills.
No, it's not about that, not about rudeness. In our culture we usually don't greet people in response in the situations like this. Cultures are quite different and the differences can be seen in 1000s of other small things
mostly says
I probably wouldn’t say hello either
@@user-lx3kw9du9u No need to lecture me on cultural differences. I know yours all too well. Russians are generally rude. It's a fact. Most of you are children of the proletariat, so fine manners are not to be expected. Even the fact that you got all defensive speaks to that.
omg why everyone rejects to talk !! let it be a nice invite for ice cream
might be easier to just get a job? Russia must have a terrific welfare system as nobody i see has to work.
Everyone I know works
@@SamsRussianAdventures it would be nice to hear about such real life things as jobs and what Russians do and even earn. because from what i see from all UA-camrs in Russia is just a free for all. a non stop party where everyone appears to be on permanent vacation. seems anyone on Ytube lives this way. I've unsubscribed to many because im just so tired of their non stop mania of happiness where nothing is real. yeah im bitter. but im tired of having this rubbed in my face every time i try and watch a video. and its the same way all over the world. at least in USA i know for fact they are all on welfare because nobody works here. i was hoping Russia was better. USA is a joke. everyone lives off the government here.
@@bobcostner2238 that’s because a succession of your stupid governments have created an economic environment where jobs have been exported to China. Same where I come from.
