  • Weeks 5 and 6 brought us some good catches and as always on the trap line some frustrations. Some good lessons learned, not always the easy way either. 3 escapes in the span of 2 weeks. Hopefully my pain is your gain. Enjoy!

How many cages are you running Mike? Im thinking on the off season i going to try and build some of my own following your videos but using 1x2 wire.
I had one of my cages that something kept getting in and dragging stuff out but the pan would not trip. I don't think the tension was too high but who knows. Happened three times.

What’s the method of “taking care of them?”

I would like to see the traps uncovered.

How so? Like a setting video? I do have a build series video of how I make the cages

@@Whitebear80He builds a number of his traps. If you Google "live catch Bobcat traps" you'll see what they look like

I use quite a few different baits. I use Dirty Cat and Northern Lights from a guy up in Colorado, then I have been trying out Conklins line of baits and Lures this season as well as cat urine I collected from my catches and a lead in scent I make. I also use some of trapper Js baits and his LDC. Then I also use chicken and pigeon feathers as well as sheep's wool. Then either feather boas or tinsel boas for flagging. And a little sparkle in the back of the cage.
