    Creative folks.. It's great that the drummer is able to maintain the "BPM" as per the samples and melody.. Amazing coordination.

    I've been following these cats since 2009. Was a little disappointed when they went the electronic route but a new level of respect after seeing how much work goes into their setup and to keep time is dope.

      +mindalteringfx Why be disappointed? They're still playing real instruments, just the samples are set via a computer instead of stored locally or being acoustic. It only has benefits. It's easier to lug around and has fewer limitations. The only time I'd be "disappointed" in seeing a musician switch to electronic is for something like a guitar or bass. Keyboard, drums (tho acoustic is cooler - I'm a drummer and producer) and such are the same performance wise. Especially if the samples are set to real acoustic sounds.

      +mindalteringfx the new electronic is and takes skills i dunno shit but come on their doing tons of shit that takes memory to know what to do and all have a skill and with the age of computer is the brain why get mad!? just how i see it..

    “I’m Ableton curious “ I definitely like his setup and I have been slowly copying Adam, bought a KT-10 kick tigger, strike multipad next to my ride, pdx-8 left of my hats, strike module for main module

      It's on the keyboard. Watch at 4:28, he explains how he has the the whole thing mapped in a way that allows him to simultaneously play synth melodies, bass parts, and even some samples/effects

  • @UglyToontown
    @UglyToontown 9 років тому +1

    I think I would have a click track running in Ableton, and going into an IEM for everyone. That way if the keyboardist had something dependent on tempo (like an arpeggio) everyone would be in sync with it.
