@Brian Smith Jr. It's not your regular everyday off the rack tux. Did you see the pink lining, ruffled at the waist and it's looks like a skirt, but not really.. I am not a seamstress, though it is one of a kind tux. I think it's fabulous!

I'm positive you still could or create your own take of the dress. A lot of DIY ideas exist out there and dollar stores and Michaels and Dollar stores carry a wide range of faux flowers to create a dress that you can wear and look stunning day or night.
Hip pads, she's wearing them, so don't beat yourself up.

@@AshJ_56 She actually was not wearing hip pads! Moschino's creative director, Jeremy Scott designed the ensemble, but the corset was created by Dark Garden Corsetry. My boss was there in person and fit corset on her personally.
That's the beauty of a high quality corset - it builds the figure for you! Yes, Irina has a gorgeous form already, but absolutely any size or shape of body can look amazing in a well made corset. The corset here was designed by Moschino's creative director, Jeremy Scott, but made by Dark Garden Corsetry.
She looks wonderful and so stunning. But it annoys me how only the designer was taking credit for the dress.
The people actually making it aren't appreciated enough. I hope she is aware of how lucky she is to have people make

They usually do a lot of changes and due to the tight schedule last changes happens in last moment. So they often see the final version at the day of the show.

Unpopular opinion: Everyone is complaining on how how its not matching the theme but frankly i enjoyed this outcome so much more . Its old hollywood classy or 80s and 90d supermodel fashion . So much effort into the garments and absolutely time encapsulating pieces that u dont get to see anymore. People can argue that red carpet events have a lot of gowns etc and while they do none have been so exquisitely made with this much effort and classic 50s vibes all over it. Old hollywood really did sport the most glamorous womens dresses till date and if this event ended up accidently bringing that back if only for a moment then im all here for it.

Probably because it didn't follow the theme which was "American independence". Flowers grow in every country so why does that represent America and her hair inspiration was Linda Evangelista who is Canadian. Her outfit made no sense.

This is a masterpiece, the fabric is so delicate/strong at the same time, you need some good hands to do a great job sewing. The concept is beautiful and the result is outstanding and sharp, it looks like made by fairies. Perfect.

@@AN-bo5ej I disagree. The celebrities are invited and no one forces them to wear it, there is a theme given by the event organizers, it is up to both the celeb and designer to decide which direction to take it. They both clearly failed the assignment

It's the one night of the year you're meant to use fashion to creatively represent a specific theme. And this years met gala red carpet consisted of mainly suits and pretty dresses... groundbreaking

Don't really get why everyone's talking about how rude she is.. For the beginning, we don't have everything in its context. She was probably too focused on the dress and designers first and for the moment with the makeup artist, I didn't find it rude either because she was telling something and the camera was there for her in order to record her and not someone else back.
