.96 feels like the rng gun in this game. Some times your shoots hit people and they dissolve, they are deleted and it feels amazing. The other times you land one hit and the the next 3 go wide while the guy you are shooting at turns on you.
I think it's underrated. It's bad, but you can make it work. You get a few shots at the start that can kill, people can't approach you while you fight them, ink vac on rain is very strong on some maps, and sprinkler is better on the 96 than most weapons. The problem is it gets completely outclassed by every midline except potentially tent, vpro, mini, and nova.

Sprinkler could honestly go to 45% and it would probably still be somewhat weak For the damage, honestly slow down the fire rate a bit and make it deal like 75 damage
@@kwayke9 If your talking about 45% ink consumption then no it wouldn't be weak and that would fix it, also the damage would also probably be an even number like 76 cause this game doesn't have any weapons that have .5 in its minimum damage, 37.5 would be the minimum damage if the maximum is 75 which is really good.

I feel like the sprinkler is underrated with the .96 kit. I commonly use it to bait my opponents so that whenever they go for it I end up finishing them off.
.96 with less shot rng (or perfect accuracy) would be so cool. the .96 carried me through my ranks from B->A on tc (190 ink vacs w/ the additional sprinkler to keep turf inked and farm for special is a fun, fun strat). the strafe speed leaves a lot to be desired but I find that my aim is better when my character isn't moving so fast. fun weapon, needs some tweaks and I wouldn't mind a full-offense variant.
For what it’s worth, the Deco kit feels pretty damn guaranteed to have Wall (this was the case in the last 2 games). Downside thou, it prooooobably have Reefslider (the 3 counterpart to Splashdown). If they buff line markers damage to 45 i think the 96 gal decos kit would be line marker and ink storm. The line marker can be used to paint its feet and can be a combo starter and/or finisher and the ink storm can be used to control space and can be use to refill the users ink tank. The pts for the special would be 190 because the 96s painting out put is slow.
No, just no. Line marker even with 45 damage is still a fairly weak special. Ink storm is a boring special and is the worst displacement special in the game. This weapon NEEDS a wall or even a bomb to perform decently, and line marker won’t do shit.
@@Inmortuae2233 ok lol. first of all, line marker is pretty much made for 96, while weak for other weapons. it’s an extremely accurate sub with a fast travel time(both opposite qualities of 96 bullets), while having chip damage to enable 96 to have a one shot. other subs such as burst or torp would be way too busted; they have too much blast radius making it totally broken with 96. additionally the point sensor effect helps a lot with shot leading (self explanatory). secondly, rain is literally THE perfect special for 96. like op said, it helps a lot with painting the users feet and doing chip damage. it also pairs perfectly with 96s nature of zoning out enemies while moving in, which rain immensely helps it to do. other displacement specials simply don’t synergize as well. just take a look at explosher which is basically 96 slosher version. rain is so good on it. this kit is really good for the weapon and the game, with it being super balanced but powerful at the same time edit: all assuming that 96 and line marker does lethal damage together (96 will probably get damage buff next patch)

This is definitely how I felt about the 52 this game. The rng is so wild, I can hardly hit anything. I just got the 96 from Sheldon because I figured it would have less of an rng problem. I guess not!
Splat 3 .52 is a paradox of a weapon, but it’s a good paradox. The rng js low on the first 2 shots so it seems optimal to play it like a blaster but it’s a shooter and playing it like it’s not will cause Ls across the board. The ONE thing they could do to actually improve the gun is increase the bullet speed to match other long range shooters. As a weapon, there's just no reason to use it over a splattershot pro. The range, ink efficiency, and time to kill is similar, but the pro paints better and is more accurate. The 96 gal needs to have the potential to 1-shot a slightly damaged opponent if it wants to have any hopes of having a niche.
I mean I rly like the 96. it's strafe speed is kinda bad, it rng is also kinda bad, but if u land two shots its great! to compinsate for those two flaws I run a main and two chunks of intensify so I can jump to have more mobility, and to compinsate for the rng, shot deviation happens after 3 shots, so you have 3 perfectly accurate shots that is the chance to frag. idk, if you play the weapon slow it's great, but it's def not bad.
The garbage fire rate makes the whole shot spread issue so much worse. If Nintendo wants to keep the damage below 70 (and even then, 70 is probably too low because of sub defense), they should look into buffing the fire rate, even if it's VERY risky to do so on a shooter Also, sprinkler should be

@@Inmortuae2233 I know, I saw that video. Its just that I want to see content as well. Chase just put down Gloogas.😓😭
the .96 gal was my weaponfu in splat1... somewhat in splat 2. barely used it in 3 ;_;
As a weapon, there's just no reason to use it over a splattershot pro. The range, ink efficiency, and time to kill is similar, but the pro paints better and is more accurate. The 96 gal needs to have the potential to 1-shot a slightly damaged opponent if it wants to have any hopes of having a niche.
To be honest I’d rather not have any gal weapon be stronger than they currently are. They already feel super unfair to fight
I loved playing 96 gal in splatoon 2. In splatoon 3 it just seems weird and I'd rather play another weapon.
If the main weapon remains unchanged, what would be the dream kit for it? 🤔
Wall and trizooka, hands down.
Oh there's a bomb here. Dang it
it's one of my mains, especially in S2 😭
i need a better kit for this weapon, it has never really gotten a good one before
To me, it just feels like squeezer but worse.
That’s because it is
It´s my most used weapon on this game right now, I used it on splat 2 as well, but yeah it needs a better kit and some little buffs
Your wish was granted ✨
Man, I absolutely loved the .96 Gal. I mean, it take skill to aim with it for myself. Anyways I understand your opinion with it :)
dude has been playing 96 gal since the first game he knows what it should take for this weapon to be balanced
Something about .96's range makes me want to pick it up compared to .52, but God it's kit is terrible
My mans has 2 clips of him shooting me rip we couldn't sneak in because the nova
The garbage fire rate makes the whole shot spread issue so much worse. If Nintendo wants to keep the damage below 70 (and even then, 70 is probably too low because of sub defense), they should look into buffing the fire rate, even if it's VERY risky to do so on a shooter
Also, sprinkler should be
You make the weapon look meta tier
As a 96 gal main my RNG sucks
I swear in splatoon 3 i can shoot at a target standing still and like 90% of my shots will miss like what?
