One thing that always bothered me was how much of a hypocrite Alex was. She was all over Jason and then got mad when Jessica kissed him before Cabo. Why do girls put all their anger towards each other instead of the guy?
It’s actually really sad . Jessica’s self esteeem was soo low! They said the other episode why was Jason with her- it’s clear. She was allowed to have boys spend the night at her house, and her self esteem was so low, she wasn’t going to stand up for herself. I know Jason was on substances and has made amends, but rewatching this back as an adult, the gaslighting and abuse Jessica received is truly upsetting . Wish they’d acknowledge that a bit more
It’s extra fun listening to you guys speculate about Alex and Jason and Jessica, while all of us fans know exactly what went down because it was the most pivotal point of the whole season 😂😂
I wake myself up at 1am every Tuesday for this podcast! I love how compassionate y’all are when speaking about your cast mates, specifically Jason this week. I appreciate how y’all can engage varying viewpoints (for example Kristin feels protective of Jessica but is also still friends with Jason and Alex) ; very mature…. We are in our mid 30s after all 🥴 I’m getting to see these very intelligent, empathetic sides of you two and I’m loving it. Very impressive!
Every week i cant wait for Tuesday to listen to you guys; i truly enjoy your podcast as a pair so fun and love the banter ….i hope you will do other work together
Kristin and Stephen are so great together! Love the podcast! These two need more opportunities to do podcasts and/ or host together. Great and authentic love between them and true friend chemistry! ❤ I'll follow anywhere these two go!
I don’t blame and completely understand Kristen and Stephen being a little biased (as honest as they tried to be) but I do think they missed some points about Jason in this episode. The part where Jason says, “Poor Jessica”, I felt like he was completely void of compassion and empathy towards Jessica as opposed to Stephen’s take on it. Also, in the limo scene, they totally missed the part where Jessica was trying to stop Jason from grabbing his car keys (I’m assuming, to stop him from driving drunk). I would not doubt that Jason has changed but those Jessica and Jason scenes are heartbreaking to watch.
They really do gloss over it a bit. I don’t know if it’s bc they really don’t want to go in on Jason too hard or what? But the scenes are abusive and it’s truly a lesson for young women. The gaslighting and abuse Jessica dealt with his painful to watch as an adult and mother. She gets called stupid when it’s absolutely not her being stupid. Her self esteem was in the gutter and Jason knew he could get easy sex from her ( he could spend a night fresh at her house ) and she has no backbone .
Unpopular opinion or maybe very popular… I wish these two were together :( My analysis (of two people I don’t even know lol) is that Stephen brings out Kristin’s soft side and clearly they liked the time they spent together. At the end of this episode, they talk about how they wish they would have taken each other to this dance! Like that’s quite the take but it’s somehow so cute.
I love this show!!! Compliments to Kristin and Stephen for making it fun, entertaining, and reflective. I can tell you all put a lot of time and organization into the show, but it comes off effortless. Good job guys!!!
Girl I know he’s like your real life bestie now but you really gonna slip over Jason looking like a coked out 30 yr old at prom? That foo looked coked out like every episode until whats her face showed up towards the end . It sucks he had to struggle with dependency issues at such a young age but that’s actually real. Unfortunately some teens struggle with that shit. I’m glad he’s doing way better now. Shout Out to Jason for the growth 👏🏽👏🏽
Yeah was weird how that scene is with the limo it almost looks like the limo is parked outside of Jessica's house for the evening LOL like her parents own the limo company or something
Seems like Jessica was trying to get his keys when he was drunk in the limo so he wouldn't drive drunk. To many excuses for his behavior in this. Great he's grown into a sweet better person years later and addiction is no joke but I bet Jessica went through even more then shown on camera unfortunately.
Eh, I just think they were afraid of Alex cause she was a bully. It's easy to say something nasty to the "weaker" person, like Jessica. A lot of girls can relate to being in Jessica's place. All the inevitable pain with having low self esteem and choosing to date a guy like Jason.
I could be wrong but I think Alex M said in an interview somewhere that she dated Jason first but mtv edited the show to look like she stole him also Cedric was such a little asshole to Jessica

I would love a Trey episode. He was such an old soul. I admire him a ton.
He was on last season

My pre-teen and teen daughters watched a couple episodes on Netflix this past weekend. So cool to be able to watch with them in 2023!

Completely agree, especially with the "poor Jessica" comment. I feel like Stephen did not read that part well.

Thought y'all handled this one really well! Also - you're both beautiful teenage icons, so thank you for that

lmfao right
Ok but Hello Fresh is delicious.. expensive, but delicious
Why couldn’t they film inside prom?
No consent from the other teens there
They weren’t aloud to film inside the school
Consent from other parents 🙂

Would think the school would protect the kids from something like that. Everyone on the show signed extensive waivers with their parents I think.
And why can’t they film at after parties?
Underage drinking
