I'm sorry about the situation that has arisen regarding the campervan. My personal opinion is that given the van was purchased without an inspection - the buyer should assume 100% responsibility.
It was the buyer's responsibility to either inspect it or send a qualified representative to do so on his behalf.
It is kind and thoughtful of you to want to reimburse the buyer in-part, however, the van sold at a reasonable price, especially in comparison to others, so, in my opinion, the buyer has already received reimbursement and is taking advantage of your good nature.
