Kilkenny City Always Busy, Always Buzzing

Kilkenny is a medieval city in southeast Ireland. Its grand Kilkenny Castle was built in 1195 by Norman occupiers. The city has deep religious roots and many well-preserved churches and monasteries, including the imposing St. Canice’s Cathedral and the Black Abbey Dominican priory, both from the 13th century. It's also a crafts hub, shops along its winding lanes selling pottery, paintings and jewellery.

Not true the castle, Canice's cathedral and the black Abbey are all much older than Rothes house. St Mary's is circa 13th century and even the Alms house is older
