Ryan Turell is that GUY!!!! Seriously Ryan is one of the most inspirational hoopers ever! Our guy passed up on a ton of D1 offers to hoop at Yeshiva University to follow his dreams of becoming a Jewish hero! He's 6'7" with a lethal jumper and bounce! He's got NBA scouts coming to all his games too. Ryan is making a NAME for himself and we know he's gonna do big things in the future 👀 Also, we made a mistake in the video -- he actually scored 41, not 31, against NJCU! Crazy...

What do you mean she was on the other team?
Lebron needs to ask him for the kippah hookup for LeBaldSpot
😭😭😭
@Lake you must be fun at parties
💀💀💀
Broooo ☠️☠️☠️
I’m sick!! I’m bout buy own Kippah
This is really special to see a Jewish kid get a chance to be on a platform such as overtime !! Keep representing
Great story. Just one thing @9:48 - he dropped 41 in that game, not 31. Love that he knew the cameras were there for him and decided to ball out
"people who hit shots get paid" amen to that
Kids an amazing player, irrespective of his religion. He’s the real deal. Love his game.
Lol he was a 1star recruit on espn and a 2 star recruit on V2. He’s doing good with D3 competition. I hope he succeeds but he isn’t the real deal at all
@@Kindaserious365 he has tons of d1 offers but won’t join cuz he can’t play on Saturday also we were both couches by the same guy 🤣
Very impressive young man. I hope he is maximizing the opportunities available to him at Yeshiva, in terms of learning, which can be very challenging to balance with the rigor of school and basketball commitments.
Lol
so proud of this kid.is the "real deal" in more ways than one.
I got a lot of respect for his game and his attitude.
kid is awesome can't wait to watch him continue to succeed
This is so amazing to watch. He is just showing no matter what religion you are you can still be what you want to be. Young Jewish athletes can really learn from Ryan
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💙💙 Congrats to All the seniors & Coach Steinmetz!! Great 23-2 regular season
Dude seems like a genuine dude hope he gets a shot to be in the league dude has great nba size for a wing
He definitely can play at a higher level but choose to play at Yeshiva University because of his faith, belief, and dedication, respect and salute for that
But then try to play in the nba…
@@drebly8329 Well he played all four years there and pretty much graduated so the only next step is to declare for the draft weather he get or not get drafted. Sure he could've used another year from covid but yeah, cause everybody can declare for NBA draft when they graduated
Good luck to him! Looks like a great person!
Mom such a chiller
God bless him
Reminds me of Larry bird- his shot, his game, his look…uncanny
Reminds me a little of how Larry bird played 🔥🔥🔥
So humble
Man Looks like Larry Bird , is it just me?
Meyers Leonard about to clothesline the hell out of this kid when he's in the league
Out of pocket bro😭
Bruhhhh 😂😂 I know it’s a joke but smh sucks what happened to Meyers man
Ayooooo
@zachy benson 🤫
Hahahaha that's the funniest shit I've read all day
5:28 this kid was spot on. 27th pick of the 1st round! Like a prophecy!
He reminds me of larry bird. Anyone else feel the same??
Literally. Big Bird vibes
It’s the hair and the face
@@benevolence4478 and the shot and form
Yes
Absolutely.....without the trash talk
His personality reminds me of Matthew Mconaghey in the movies. Wish the kid the best. He’s special.
I like it! Keep up (I’m not Jewish, I’m Kazakh)
It's great to finally see a jewish guy having a platform. So king ✡️✡️
Always an antisemitic comment coming. If we ran the media, you think we’d be hated bro?
@@MizrahimJudean Bruh how was that Anti?? It’s a fact.

It’s beautiful to see us also in sports at this level
Very good player....but nba is a different game 🎮. I hope he does well. He'll very marketable handsome young man with great parents.
His friends were high af haha
He’s amazing
5:29 “27th pick in the first round” ayo wtf. I know it wasn’t nba draft but 😳
He certainly has talent, though the thing is he's playing in DIII. Only a handful of DIII players have gone onto the NBA, but regardless there is a pathway given the fact.
My guy, jewish athletes making history in 2021-22. Let’s go bro✡️
Yo that DEADLY FIRST STEP OFF THE SHIMMY WAS AN ELITE IQ NBA MOVE.. he’s got nba talent I see it and that wrist and for looks automatic same form every shot
Damn. This man has GAME
Def will be buying this guys jersey one day
that boy the jewish larry bird😭, na fr tho i like his game, at the next level he will be a supersized SG that can have some playmaking ability as a scorer and off ball wing with passing abilities.
Some teams should definitely consider him in the 2nd round, maybe the grizzlies, lakers, nuggets, clippers, any contender really
He will be a good role player at best which is very much fine. He can definitely have a joe ingles type of role i love the dudes game fr.
keep grinding
Amazing 🤩
That's a sweet kid, good job mom & dad.
בהצלחה!
Nice personality and game.

Dope 🔥
Basketball is the most popular sport for the Jews and Israelis 🏀👍 💪🏼🔥
Have a great day you all!
The next Miami Heat project
People can say what they want I can see him in the league if given the chance and if he landed in the “Right “ situation I wish this young man the best in his basketball endevours 🔑
The guy just scored over 30 in G-League for Motor City.
tell me this is not a reincarnation of Larry Bird
Yoooo get his ass on the Cleveland Cavaliers!
Destroying and tearing apart the stigma that Jews can’t be athletes w every bucket
he is larry bird esque, hopefully i spelled that correctly
We had a Jewish NFL MVP JE11 so keep it going my Hebro
he reminds me of larry bird
He looks like Larry Bird in junior high school
The Jewish Larry Bird!
King!
Blessings 🙌
next larry bird i dont wanna hear no complaint
אין עוד מלבדו מלך מלכי המלכים.
Well, he technically did get selected 27th in the first round. I think i need some stock tips from lil buddy in the orange skully
fire vid
5:49 hi apartment number is 23!
the Jewish Jordan living the number
Be sick to have one of his Yeshiva University game worn kippahs autographed by him... and signed in Hebrew. That would be a cool ass piece of sports memorabilia... regardless if he makes it in the league or not... but I think this kid will have a successful run in the NBA tho. Guy does have Yahweh on his side!! Lol 😇😝
Full Court Miracle
5:28 bro predicts ryan goes 27th in the first🤯😂
Legit
He got that Dirk in his jumper
Amazing content
Close.... He was the 27th pick in G league draft
Will this team be making it to the NCAA tournament, March Madness?
No they’re d3
Kyrie irving watching this like😤
Smooth game. Larry Berg?
God bless 🙏 ❤️
yessir, out here representing
Nice story, and the guy clearly has game. But as others have noted, the NBA is an entirely different game. This kid doesn't look like he's ever seen a weight room, and I don't see him getting off a shot in the league or even getting open. If someone like Adam Morrison couldn't make it there is no way (maybe a better analogy would be Joe Dudek, the div III running back from Plymouth St. from years gone by). I think Turell has a very nice career ahead of him playing overseas, but his NBA prospects are zero.
Steph Curry isn't very muscular, especially his rookie year he was bones. And he did just fine. Also Kevin Durant couldn't bench press 185 even once at the combine and he did fine too.
@@Y0S3F Have a closer look. Steph's body is 100% different from when he entered the league. Sure, this kid could fill out, too, but comparing him to game-changing talents like Curry (who essentially defined the new era of extreme long-distance shooting) and Durant (6'10" but with a 7'5" wingspan, basically making him unguardable) is more than a stretch. Not to mention that both Curry and Durant played DI in college in the first place.
I wish Turell luck...but if he makes it to the league I'll eat my hat.
@@scottd5705 I don't think the weight room is a requirement for great basketball. That's all I'm saying. Zach LaVine is also thin. 6'5 and 200. (LaVine was only 181 pounds when he was drafted.) Ryan Turell is 6'7 195. And LaMelo Ball is even smaller. He's 6'7 181! Tiny! I'm not comparing basketball style between players or D1 and D3. You're making a lot of different arguments to disqualify Turell. He happens to be a great three point shooter, was accepted to d1 schools. Who knows if he'd have the same stats in d1. He might have seen very little playing time because he keeps the sabbath, and unfortunately they might not have been amenable to that in a nonjewish school. But I'm really just responding to your point about bulking in the weight room. A lot of thin weak dudes play in the NBA.
@@Y0S3F Point taken. Yup, there are certainly skinny guys in the NBA. I just don't see the justification for this level of hype over a guy who plays DIII. Yes, he did supposedly have a few DI offers...but what I read were places like Cal St. Northridge and Southern Utah...'nuff said.
I think we should just agree that we both wish him the best of luck. I'd be very happy to see him prove me wrong and do better than play in a second tier overseas league for years (which is my guess). Nothing wrong with that at all, but that's where I'd bet he lands.
@@scottd5705 I think it's fair to say that making the NBA is a long shot (I hope it happens) and if he makes the league he's looking to separate himself by shooting and high IQ play (an ideal outcome would be a duncan robinson). Only way he can make/stay in the league is if he shoots the 3 ball at an insane clip. Otherwise there's a zero percent chance. But given his height, if he can shoot the 3 at an extremely high level, he has sufficient athleticism to be in the leaguer as a role player (he'll need to get stronger and work on quickness as do most college players).
Jewish Legend already
Larry Birdowitz.
Reminds me of Larry Bird
