In Interstitial defect,,Mass remains same but due to Dec in effective volume in which the atoms r present So DENSITY WILL INCREASE IN INTERESTITIAL DEFECT 👍👍
Bhai/behen khud se hi socho, lattice se mass to nikal nhi raha hai. Wo to apna position hi change kr ra hai. Aur lattice ka volume v nhi bdh raha hai. To na mass bdh raha hai na volume change ho raha hai to density kaise increase kr jaayega? Ncert me shayad misprint hua hoga

Sir in Interstitial defect theire is "increase in Density" of that substance according to NCERT

As mass per given volume increases its density decreases
We are talking about the whole lattice not a unit cell so it is correct.
