    Some extra points..
    1)Stoochiometry defect is also called Intrinsic or Thermodynamic defect.
    2)Frenkel defect is also called dislocation defect.

      Actually in stoichiometry density either increase or as it is...but in interstitial impurity defect it's actually increases if I am not wrong

    In Interstitial defect,,Mass remains same but due to Dec in effective volume in which the atoms r present
    So DENSITY WILL INCREASE IN INTERESTITIAL DEFECT 👍👍

      Bhai/behen khud se hi socho, lattice se mass to nikal nhi raha hai. Wo to apna position hi change kr ra hai. Aur lattice ka volume v nhi bdh raha hai. To na mass bdh raha hai na volume change ho raha hai to density kaise increase kr jaayega? Ncert me shayad misprint hua hoga

      @@snehilkumar9517 When some extra constituent particles are present in the interstitial sites, the crystal is said to have interstitial defect. This defect results in the increase in the density of the substance because mass increases but volume remains the same.

    Hlw... Sir I'm shilpi.. sir in ncert it is mentioned that in interstitial defect .. some constituent particles occupy intersticial sites... Nd it increases the density of the solid...

      Correction : When there's a vacant space available for atoms or molecules in non ionic solids/crystals ,but if the vacant space doesn't get filled ,
      Then it is said to have a Vacancy defect .
      They occur when a Solid is heated .
      They change the density of solids, i.e decrease the density
      Interstitial defects are opposite of vacancy defeat but they also occur in non ionic solids.
      They increase the density of solids

    In stoichiometric the ratio of atoms /ions remains same
    So, therefore in vacancy and interstitial defect ratio of atoms also remains same
    To phir apne ratio same kyon nahi show ki

      aapki baat sahi hai . interstetial defect me ek atom apni position change krke dusre atoms ke bich me aa jata hai jise us system me energy badh jaati hai because of one extra delocalization of atom in the system aur sath sath unstability bhi baad jaati hai, so if we see the energy mass equivalence then on increasing energy mass also increases, M=E/c², thus Density also increases
