A now 18-year-old (I think?) Rhaenyra Targaryen (Milly Alcock) learns all about the joys of fooling around and then immediately after, its consequences. It’s all like a Westerosi after school special but a relatively sensitive one that respects how easy it is for a relatively sheltered royal girl to get swept up in unfamiliar emotion.
We know Rhaenyra gets the message because in the very next scene she decides to act on her own desires for perhaps the first time in her life. Rhaenyra flirting with and ultimately sleeping with her sworn knight Ser Criston Cole (Fabian Frankel) is quite the fraught moment. While the power dynamics in the previous scene favored Daemon, here they favor Rhaenyra.
Just one episode ago, Criston told Rhaenyra that he and his family owe everything to her.
Every relationship, it turns out, pivots on this one night. House of the Dragon reminds us there are no normal families in King’s Landing: Power makes all relationships impossible in Episode 7

Viserys is just chilling somewhere thinking: Why is my blood pressure suddenly increasing? Wait a moment. Where's daughter and brother?
😂😂
Lmaoo
Dear uncle dilf I am stuck in the chamber pot machine , lol .
😂😂😂😂😂
It actually sucks that we'll never get to see Viserys' initial reaction to his brother and Rheanyra's marriage due to next episode's (and final) time jump.
In the books, Viserys and his court were described to be outraged when word of their marriage spread, not only because they didn't ask for his consent, but Viserys worked hard on keeping Daemon away from his daughter to stop any prospects of him ruling. He refused to have Rheanyra and Daemon at court for many years but softened up towards the end of his life and spending his last day playing with his grandkids.
“Princess Rhaenyra was a different matter. Daemon spent long hours in her company, enthralling her with tales of his journeys and battles. He gave her pearls and silks and books and a jade tiara said once to have belonged to the Empress of Leng, read poems to her, dined with her, hawked with her, sailed with her, entertained her by making mock of the greens at court, the “lickspittles” fawing over Queen Alicent and her children. He praised her beauty, declaring her to be the fairest maid in all the seven Kingdoms.”
- fire and blood
Shows how much he loved her
This scene tells us so much about why the Rhaenyra played by Milli is so different than the one we see now portrayed by Emma. There’s a sadness that has consumed her being away from Daemon. She’s pretty much had to make the nest out if what was forced on her. Really shows us just how ignorant Alicent truly is.
Facts!
Miguel needs to understand light exist. The episodes directed by him is way too dark...Can't see shit
i could see it fine. get a better screen
💯💯💯
Yeah I think we need to sign a petition to remind them to use proper lighting techniques to illuminate the episodes or else Miguel will be known as the Dark Director. He’s always been consistent with his episodes and somehow I am happy he is gone. Whoever directs the battle in the God’s Eye should learn from LOTR of Peter Jackson.
Your tv sucks buy a better one
@@aliakram6675 I have the 8k tv of Samsung and I couldn’t see shit
Leana was younger than Rhaenyra lol
But he loved Rhaenyra and couldn’t do that to her. He married Leana for political advantage.
not in books. In books she was actually way older than Rhaenyra :D
@@knitsewbakegrow3740 Um he didn't? He married Leana because he wanted to, and then settled in Pentos literally saying how he was happy to not be involved in politics... are we not watching the same show? lmao. The marriage with Rhaenyra is literally for political purposes.
@@candycaneri his marriage with both Laena and Rhaenyra was for political reasons tbf. I don’t know about books but in show he settled down in Pentos because he knew if he went back to King’s Landing then he’ll definitely involve himself in Rhaenyra’s life.
@@tbakhalid4781 I mean political reasons for me is him actively having a role regarding the crown and trying to bolster that claim ect but he clearly had none when he was with Laena. Just chilling and living in Pentos doing whatever he wanted.
In the books Rhaenyra and Laenor often visited Daemon and Laena. It's said that Rhaenyra and Laena get on well with each other, there's even a theory that they were in sexual relationship or in threesome with Daemon.
Wow👀
Glad they changed that. Because then it makes zero sense that Rhaenyra had black haired kids with Harwin.
@@quietnbookish5417 EXACTLY!!!
These family really needed a therapy if that was shown in the movie. All these Convo and tension would be non sense
@@quietnbookish5417 not really? They could still be Harwins kids even if Rhaenyra was sleeping around. Also he made the Threesome part up. It implied that Rhaenyra and laena may have had a thing but not that they were having Threesomes together.
Daemon throughout this scene: ⚫
Rhaenyra throughout this scene: ⚫
This is as dark as the S8 whitewalker battle in GoT!
WHY IS IT ALWAYS SO GOD DAMN DARK
@@AlKay38245 Totally... 😆😆
The point is that Daemon cared that Rhae was a child. He didn't care the Laena was.
That's because Laena wasn't family he cared about how that might effect Rhaenyra emotionally if she was too young lol 😂
Hello Jane
That's disgusting
@@sankeerthanareddy6509 they're not literally children they're both of age but still young I think 18? Not sure
No. He meant it as a child that cannot handle him, while she's married to someone else. Getting entangled with him while she's married to another is not it for him, even tho he's the one who taught her she can fck who she wants while married. She's a child in a sense that she is still not mature enough to handle him. While Laena doesn't have that kind of burden on her, and he probably saw Laena as more mature and can handle him pretty well, which she did, that's why Daemon is so behaved in Pentos.
More moonlight would have been perfect for this scene.
Audience has better ideas than the director..
exactly it was dark as hell...bruh i thought my laptop battery had died
When my favorite characters came together ❤️ Now things are going to get rollercoaster 🙌🔥
Lmao why do they film these important scenes in such darkness? Bro I'm not a cat
Yes or No but "we were happy enough" 😅
that means he didn't loved her but he did care for her.
@@greenforce68 I know but it's funny that it's a guy thing 🤣
🤮 🤮 🤮
I feel guilty for loving them…
Well actually I don’t😁❤️❤️❤️
This is a work of fiction, so we are allowed ^^
@@kuroohana
Yeah!! I mean they’re Targaryen it’s okay
I hate GRR martin for thinking to pair daemond with nettle in later of the story. Martin is really evil .
One of the biggest issues with the Targeryans is that for the most part dragons like dragons
Дэймон и Рейнира появляются вместе на экране*
Я - режим шиппера включён ❤
Daemon told Rhae that marriages were political arrangements. Laena was no different. She was an heir to the wealiest family in wesreros and her family had half the dragons. Daemon has a dark side we've seen and anyyone who is not 💯 Targaryen is fair game. He wants to restore the Targaryen house to its glory. This means war with anyone he sees as in his way from what he wants. I'm beginning to want to listen more carefully to Viserys that knows him.
Hello Lisa
@@JamesSmith-yg7gi Hello James
Daemon out here after killing his first wife, moving on in like, less than a week from his second, and kills whoever he sees as inconvenience to him, whether that person is right or wrong.... I dunno man, Daemon's kinda Sus to me
I can almost see this version
Ahhh, the uncle that visit for Christmas
The brightness i hv to increase to is crazy
They shoulda just done this from the start and possibly solved a bunch of problems. I know it wouldnt of been canon to the book but still.
Yes i think
i cant see their faces....
If Rhae was 18 at her wedding...Leana was 16💀 ooof Daemon
Darker please I can still se the outlines of their facer, this will not do. 😒
What on earth were they thinking
I still can’t get over how dark it is we’re are the lights?!?!
Nyra always wanted to be with him and was jealous of Laena.
And he was jealous as well. Hence the conversation he had with laena when he found out about the birth of her youngest son
Not in the books.... in the books rhaenyea and leana got along well... in the show as well it was never implied that she was jealous. Ur making assumptions.
idk if she was jealous of Laena. never found any dialogue about that it seems to me Laena were fine, knowing Rhaenyra is the wife Daemon's asked for. so I think she'll be happy about Laena too.
Nyra?
@@javierlopez9789 it's shorts for Rhaenyra. probably because her name is too long to write.
Still fucking dark
Dude srsly, why the fuck cant they brighten it up a bit
And weird enough, in behind the scene photos, they both were in the daylight in this scene
@@margarethmichelina5146 cause this whole episode is shot in daylight but they decided to make it nighttime for some reason, hence weird editing.
🤮 🤮 🤮 🤮
I hate GRR martin for thinking to pair daemond with nettle in later of the story. Martin is really evil .
That was rumor. It was also stated how he treated the girl more like a daughter than anything. It was Misery who spread it out to be an affair. The show has 2 paths to choose from.
@@HisSnuggleBear18 thanks . Lets hope for the best then.
@@HisSnuggleBear18 yeah and she was also manipulating Rhaenyra into thinking that, right? I remember Daemon's words from the books when he received rhaenyra's letter to kill nettles...."words of queen, thoughts of whore" something like that...i can't remember clearly
Im confused how Daemon says he spared Rhaenyra since she was a child. But had no problem messing with Laena who was years younger then Rharnyra. He had no issue robbing the cradle of that young girl. Plus messing around with another women when your wife has just been laid to rest. Come on every character in this show is kind of sick.
The difference is Rhaenrya grew up around Daemon. Laena did not.
@@mariarivadeneira3360 Rhaenyra didn't grow up around Daemon either. He was never around when she was a kid, literally it's in book canon. And in the show he sees her three times in fifteen years.
I think he meant it like, spared her from civil war? Her father wouldn't have allowed it, so doing what he wanted would have meant going against his brother. And Daemon is many thing, but his family does come first (well at least those he chose, he doesn't care much about Alicent's kids XD)
The difference is he loved Rhae from the beginning.
@@dizzy388 Laena was fifteen when they were married. Rhaenyra was nineteen during the brothel scene.
Miguel can't shoot night scenes for shit
He loved Laena. But Daemon is smart. Because he loves them both. He didn't want to hurt Nyra and what does it really matter at this point to tell her the truth?
Laena has transitioned and he knows for certain his chance to finally be with Nyra is here so why add shit to it that will muddy the water. Daemon is a realist and he doesn't dwell on what cannot be altered...he just moves the fck on like a true player gangsta...my dude 💯 🔥💖🧘🏾♀️
idk, I think he cared for her but he didn't want her the way he wants Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra been his obsession for a very long time, Laena knows and she's accept it. Daemon kinda admired Laena, he truly cared for her. but once he set his foots back to Kings Landing, it's pretty clear he'd go to Rhaenyra.
No he didn't loved her
@@greenforce68
I agree to a fault. In the book...he loved Laena and he ended up cheating on Nyra eventually several times...so I'm just saying
@@sonyabowman7100 I heard the books were meant to be written from the anti-Targaryen perspective with lots of gossip and hearsay. And the movies are supposed to set the record straight under George R.R. Martin's supervision.
His marriage was pure scheming out of desperation. He couldn't care less for Laena and his daughters.
I cannot get used to this Rhaenyra.
Second that milly was 🔥
same here
Same. Milly had better chemistry with matt smith.
Yeah:( it's just not the same.
@@darky1376 Young and old Rhaenyra are completely different characters. They're supposed to feel different.
And old Rhaenyra is not particularly likeable. So far the show has made her more likeable than Fire and Blood.
Well we see Laenor Valaryon again ?
She has grayscale now I guess
Nympho rhaenyra 🌝
The setting atmosphere is beautiful but why the hell is there no moonlight? or hey could've just brightened ist up...i can't see sh***
Is the sun dead?! I can’t see the detail
Wasn't his cousin/wife younger than her though?
Lmao yes 😮
it's probably to do with the fact she grew up around him where as Laena didn't and also I think he still viewed her as that at the time which is part of why he stopped at the brothel
In book, no. Laena was born in 92 AC, Rhaenyra 97 AC. In tv show they screwed their ages up, for no apparent reason.
@@maearcher4721 they made her younger to put viserys off from marrying her and sway him towards alicent

OK, but was that a yes or a no?
I can’t see anything!
all I hear in this scene is the uncle fucker song
I can't see anything.
Why is it so dark? Jesus christ.
I do not feel the passion between them.Milly's eyes were shining...🤩
Milly looked like a little girl.
@@alexissimpson5819 To be honest, personally for me she looked like a little dragon😉, not like a little girl. This actress has a fire in her eyes, it can be seen both in the series and in real life. She is truly alive and evokes empathy. I can't say the same about Emma. Sorry
People need to understand that Rhaenyra is not the same person anymore. To me, Milly’s Rhaenyra was a wild one, she was young and free to speak her mind without any worries. But she was set to marry a man who even though cared for her, didn’t desire her nor was interested in her as a woman. She had to look that in someone else, which resulted in three (clearly) bastard sons. That weakened her position and pretty much worried her, because she loves those boys. She was alone, trapped in the Red Keep surrounded by people that hate her and abandoned her (Alicent and Criston). And there is another factor: Daemon wasn’t around for 10 years. She is not the same wild 19 years old Rhaenyra. She is a mother that needs to be careful in order to protect her children, which is the main reason she doesn’t challenge Alicent or Vaemond, because she knows how fragile is her position.
@@marianacoutino5660 I understand it) But I still do not empathize with this actress🤷♀️ Unfortunately🥺

tbh i dont think any female cared at that point, women age and become unattractive, while men age and become fkn Hot Gods of every womans desire ;____;
No chemistry
I disagree, but that’s your opinion
yes, I don’t see any either unfortunately.
Maybe.. Daemon is more subdued which may contribute to the vibe of their interactions now, but Rhaenyra seems more or less the same, running around but this time with kids
God that lighting is awful though. Ruined the ep for me.
Hello Amelia
I do not ship them at all
I shipped it more when it was Milly Alcock playing Rhaenyra though
Is milly alcock realistic and beliveable enough to play a 30 year old mother of teenage children?
I ship them more now that she's Emma, they fit really well with Daemon. I was so uncomfortable with him Milly scenes.
Shipping them is a bit pointless 😆😆
@@Waywind420 bye
@@Waywind420 why would they waste time exploring her youth when the interesting events start much later?
And stop saying random non binary person. Emma was cast BEFORE milly. And I think Emma looks great as Rhaenyra. She looks too feminine and pretty in fact if we go according to the books.
Stop letting your views about non binary people affect your judgement of their casting. I'm not letting her being non binary get in the way of my judgment either.
Edit: and the vfx idea is terrible and time consuming
Young Rhaenyra and older Rhaenyra are very different which is why the cast change hasn't bothered me. In fact old Fire & Blood Rhaenyra is not a very likable person.
Why do people like this couple? They’re uncle and niece!
What happened to LIGHT?
