Axis Magnus for normal accounts is 5:2. For Burgundy it's 5:4. Great work on these discussions it helps me a lot with my credit card optimization also.
Best of axis atlas comes when you spend on hotels or airlines directly. You will get 5x edge miles if you book either through axis travel edge or direct through hotels. You can use it to settle any payments during hotel checkout
As an Ex-Magnus(good old days) user and a current Atlas user, i wish to add here that atlas has to introduce smartbuy program apart from buying directly through airline site or hotel site. if Atlas allows Gyfter or something - it would be the most rewarding card.
More importantly, the Atlas benefit is on travel spends where you earn 5 Edge Miles per 100 on direct hotel/airline bookings. Which unlike booking through smartbuy/third parties, gives you the points/miles for the booking as well. So it is effectively always a double dip. 3L travel spends on Axis Atlas in your first year will get you 20k Edge Miles which is a 24% in terms of Accor.
@@Vishal_Mamidi sorry missed this. Double dip, as you get the Atlas miles on booking and for booking directly, book hotels and airlines, give you loyalty/reward points too. Unlike booking through third party. For eg. Accor booking on Atlas, gives you 18% back through Atlas and Accor gives some 2-6% back based on status.
Very informative. I used to listen to mostly videos at 1.5-2.0 speed but both people have different speeds of speaking. Please resolve it on your next video. Hope you can understand.
I'm planning to buy a car for which I'm planning to do a downpayment of 6-7.5L through credit card, as per my calculation Atlas would be the best for the same. Please share your view?
Accor ALL points definitely hold more value, but one drawback is the points cap-you can’t use them to cover an entire booking. During my recent trip to Istanbul, I could only use a maximum of 18k points for my Novotel reservation, and had to pay the rest in cash. In contrast, with Marriott’s Bonvoy points, I was able to fully cover my Sheraton booking using just points.
While paying the cash amount, just ask the receptionist to use the points, They will be able to deduct from that, I have done this multiple times. Only the amount < 1800/- (which is 1000 points) you have to pay because they can only redeem in multiples of 1000.
One thing that we have to remember during this process of 'over-optimisation' is that the price of the hotel is already super marked up. ITC Mementos is one hour away from the city centre, outside the city. Even in the city centre (which is the most prime location and has hotels with most premium tarriffs) per night rates start at 15-20k (Trident is available for 18k per night). I am sure ITC Mementos is a beautiful property. But the price of 45k per night is super-marked up. He did the booking at 17k per night which may be fair value. But you can't look at the over inflated rate of 45k and say it's a bargain.
Regarding Axis Magnus for Burgundy - Although rent is not included in annual fee waiver, you do get reward points for rents upto 50k. I was able to get M4B lifetime free (till I maintained the Burgundy status) because I got it before 31st Jan, so this works out for me.

Can't. There's no direct route and you'll lose value going indirect. Let me know if you find a way
Ye burgundy account ke sath magnus burgundy free milta he ? my RM said i have to pay 30k per annum for magnus with burgundy
I've heard a few different versions of this so I'm not clear to be honest.
Website says it's 30K.
My RM says it's 12K (insists it's magnus burgundy).
Few folks on the comments have said they have it for free but that's cuz they got it before a certain date earlier in 2024.
So short answer is, not sure 😃
@@pranayk37yes I got the Magnus for Burgundy LTF
Unfortunately for new applicants they do charge 30K as it’s anual fee
Ohh..i also got the feedback that point redemption is not easy in axis bank. You have to call RM to redeem points.
@@nalinkanoongo1929and redeeming via the RM took more than 7 days when we were burgundy account holders
Great content.. have a query .. if one of credit card gets declined before reaching me, does it impact the cibil score.
If your application is denied that doesn't reduce the score. However the score can be hit slightly everytime an enquiry is made by a credit card company
Sir if you could please check as for a burgundy account holder the annual fees for magnus is not applicable as I am a burgundy account holder and I have never paid a penny on fees for magnus
It's a little confusing, you're right. Website says 30k, RM says 12K and now you're saying 0 🤐😅
@@pranayk37 Actually its 0 as I am holding magnus for 2 years and haven’t paid any fees for it
@@pranayk37for new burgundy magnus it is 30k, for new normal magnus it is 12k, for existing Magnus holders they offered burgundy Magnus for free. Hope it clarifies!
After using Atlas for more than 4 months, I have realised that it is not worth it if you already have Infinia or Amex Trifecta!
Very hard to reach milestones with all the exclusions and then, you have to face issues like wrong merchant classification and poor Axis customer care.
Edge miles crediting is very sporadic, sometimes it comes in 7-8 days sometimes it takes ages. Axis positions it as premium card but hardly creates that experience!
Thanks for sharing your experience. This is primarily why I’m not getting it

Bro do itc points expire
Yes, 12 months if there are no eligible spends
Magnus burgundy fees is not ₹12500 but 35400
The RM says 12.5K, I double checked with him. Irrespective, doesn't make sense for me
@@pranayk37 no man! thats for normal magnus. Magnus burgundy is 30k plus gst
@@pranayk37 No, the magnus burgundy is 35k including tax. I just got it 2 months back. It is there in TnC. They are not giving it LTF anymore and strictly based on salary criteria
Twitter links?
Thanks for reminding me, will update soon :)
