I love how they took the goofiest character and made her the single most psychotic terror on the show. ❤
It breaks my heart. I loved Claudia the first season and still do. She started off with good intentions, but a human can only handle darkness for so long before a corrupts, and shatters you into a million pieces you. Ultimately, she’s gonna be the one to need saving or be destroyed. 😢. Awesome character arc for her but sad.
Claudia was NEVER the goofiest character. Soren and Callum were the goofy characters that have gone through major maturity arcs. Claudia started out as one of the most mature and level-headed characters that people could relate to and her arc is to show that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The way Viren was afraid of this exact thing happening to his daughter but knew there was no way to save her from what she had already become 😔
Claudia should have listened to Viren and enjoyed the month with him. And now.... she's just so broken. This pain.... it's the guilt, the feeling of futility, the desire to make it worth it. ....Terry is the last thing holding her together.
That sounds like a sign he's going to die, and I have a good feeling that will happen
She is like Azula and Morgana le fay
The only remorse I feel for her was that her revitalizing him proved to be for nothing when he actually changed for the better. But yeah, for a dark mage, Claudia was just so full of life before. Now, she’s basically a one-woman horror movie

I like how Viren started out as a "Villain", then became the Villain, then died and awoke as basically a statue, and rather than continue with his evil, decided to finally rest as he was supposed to.
Now we got Azula 2.0 and Starman to watch.
(Just checking back, now that Season 6 is weeks away...)
Now that I've watched the show back, Viren is a LOT worse of a person than I had remembered. I guess him saying "I did what I needed to do for my family" clouded my mind of him constantly trying to get power.
Starman (Aaravos) is definitely going to be cool, but the trailer makes it seem as if he is weaker than we thought. Or at least, that a more powerful being than him COULD show up.
Claudia is still like Azula.
Her dad was evil, like Ozai.
Her new leader, Aaravos, is also evil.
She has unique magical talents and mastery over Dark Magic, while Azula has unique blue Firebending and techniques in Avatar.
And finally, she's starting to go insane from all the tragedies, such as her leg being cut off, her dad dying, and the entire kingdom, her brother, and Callum turning against her. It's obvious that she's on the same, if not a worse path, than Viren.
I haven’t seen the show or anything but her attitude seems more like jinx from the league of legends show

I think this clearly shows the cost of dark magic.
Claudia was a good and lighthearted person in the beginning of the series but she got progressively worse with dark magic.
It especially shows how Viren despite once being the same realised how wrong dark magic was after feeling dark magic for the first time and seeing what happened to Claudia.
I can’t wait for the next season to come out!
Mind you, she was good and light hearted while still casually squeezing the life out of creatures to power her spells. She just didn't see anything wrong with it.

Damn you can really see how much trauma Claudia has. I love how the seasons are getting progressively darker and more and more stakes are revealed.
I've been saying it for years! Animated fantasy shows start out kid friendly and after a couple of seasons they become Lord of The Rings.
I can’t believe how much she’s deteriorated. I find it amazing that even though Viren was always supposed to be the main villain of the series, it was Claudia who posed the real threat from the start

That works best when your main characters are children. It gives the the story it’s own life in the sense that it grows and matures as they do

That mama was not ready for trauma
This show literally grows with its viewers. It went from and innocent, no worries theme, to talking about proceeding in decision making and finding one's self, to dealing with trauma and loss.
Yea right it’s not like anyone important deer to the protagonist died in the first season.hum hum😅
As the characters age and mature....so does the show.

this show started out so wholesome and it still keeps that element but wow it's gotten really dark at the same time. That's a crazy balance to have
That's the thing about animated shows: you gotta have the duality of light-hearted comedy and character bonding contrasted with the violent and scary content for it to really hit audiences. I mean, Claudia's literally covered in blood in this clip, probably the most we've seen in the show thus far, and it hits hard because it's contrasted with her more comedic book-learned magician origins at the start of the series. She's not the girl we once knew. She's closer than ever to becoming the monster her father once was (though at least he eventually turned away).
This gonna be hard for soren now that claudia is no longer the sister he once knew and grew up with
Claudia becoming worse than her father ever was, is a good corruption arc. Not perfect, but a good one
I love how in s1 ppl would think that soren would be evil and claudia good because of their personalities but how he had a redemption from being a bit of a bully and she's spiraled and descented it's so good
I don't know....at least Claudia hasn't started a war and transformed hundreds of people into unholy fire monsters. Yet.

I really feel for claudia , she was a kind and good person, she never did any of this for power or glory, she just wanted to protect her family but her fathers blind ambition blocked him from seeing the toll it was taking on his children .it reminds me in adventures of merlin when morgana was so good and kind in the beginning and slow and surely she was growing with hate

Claudia's fear of being left alone by her family is what drove her into the darkness. Her fathers influence didn't help, but Claudia has always been twisted.
Btw, Claudia doesn't kill Terry. If you go frame by frame, the staff doesn't hit terry, it goes to the side of his head.

For those who are curious, no she doesn't kill Terry. Play it in slow motion, you can see the staff on the side of his head and not on it. Basically a fake out. But holy shit she's gone off the deep end... It makes me wonder whose blood is that and if Viren is dead or not. If he is, I dread on Claudia's reaction...
I think the blood on her actually belongs to Sir Sparklepuff. Also, Aaron confirmed that Viren is still alive this season. Considering how Aaravos told Viren that killing Sir Sparklepuff would make his resurrection spell permanent, I'm guessing Claudia made the horrifying choice without even realizing that she actually did save her father.

God I knew Claudia was going to go over the deep end, but I didn't think she'd fall this far just to ensure that the only person she has left to love is incapable of leaving her ever again. This show just got darker and darker and I love it!
I don't believe that she kills Terry though. But whatever she does isn't good.

Nobody is talking about Callum falling, clearly blindfolded. There's been a lot of build up with his character, especially around dark magic and how Aaravos wants to use him. I'm really excited to see the result of all that build up in this season.
On another note, that scene with Claudia was the most terrifying thing I have ever seen. Holy crap, I did not expect something like that out of this show. They literally broke her and now she's gone insane. 😭

I feel so bad for Claudia. She’s lost so much during the first 5 seasons. She used to be so happy back in season one. But I don’t even know what to describes her as now.

Broken. I think a good word to describe her is broken. She lost a lot, started using evil magic which clearly did something to her brain, and almost no one is on her side. I’m honestly wondering if we’ll get something like with Audrey in Descendants 3 where she does all these bad things because of the things that happened to her and the evil magic urging her to do worse deeds, but then gets defeated and wakes up and wishes it had just been a bad dream.
This show keeps getting better and better!! 🤩 I can’t wait to see what footage they’ll put in the official trailer!
S4 was a dip in quality but s5 and s6 feel like they're getting back on track
After watching season 5 I thought that with this animation and plot it would make a great video game. I also love how there are so many possibilities for the main characters and how their stories can grow/change. Everything about this show is done impeccably and hopes this goes on as long as one piece lol

I wasn't expecting a teaser for season 6 to drop so early. It has only been a few months since season 5 dropped. This just popped up on my feed and I have never been more excited. I can't wait to see what happens in this season. And Claudia looks so terrifying now, looks like we will be in for one hell of a ride next year

I've seen a few comments wondering about the blood in Claudia's hair.
Spoiler from Season 5:
Claudia lost a leg in her attempt to threaten/attack our heroes. She had used dark magic to become something like Ursula from Disney's The Little Mermaid, but when Rayla sliced off Claudia's tentacle, and her vial was opened by Callum, the magic was undone. She had to swim for the surface or drown, and was bleeding heavily. Possibly she swam up through her blood.
👏Already, after a minute of trailer I’m already so FREAKING EXITED! The animation looks stunning and I can’t wait to see what the team has done this season! The stakes are rising…
I do also wonder…what caused Callum’s wings to disappear? A spell? A wound? Some sort of magic corruption?
Edit: He’s blindfolded so is it a ritual for connecting to the star arcanum? Some sort of thing related to the nova blade and diamonds?
Anywho I can’t wait and we’ll see how this darker turn affects the plot…
But Claudia, is she going to make Terry a puppet or use him for parts? She did say he would never leave her…

While Claudia is terrifying in her descent into madness, I’m way more curious about that last shot. Seems like something is gonna make the magic of the world fade with how the feathers of Callum’s magic wings dissipated. My bet is some kinda overpowered world ending spell Aaravos has cooking.
Maybe, or it could be a vision that’s happening in real time that disabled his magic?
Also I remembered Harrows dream with Lady Justice in season 2, and how she had him put on a blindfold to teach him a lesson on how to govern fairly!
Could also be a test from the celestial elves in order to get the diamonds and the nova blade.

I really do feel sorry & bad for Claudia cause in her eyes you can instantly tell that she's been through so pain, loss, grief, and trama. I wonder if there is anyone that could help her.

She would definitely play an important part in this season like the last one. I'm sure we'll see an epic battle between her and Sol Regem for the throne.

Just a small correction... motherhood is a blessing _to some._ I can tell you, I'd never be able to handle one of those little gremlins (said with both love and hate), let alone two or three. My sister's triplets tire me out after one whole day. So, motherhood isn't for everyone, and calling it a blessing undermines the burdens it can come with. And even parents who wanted children can get tired and need some support, and it's okay for them to want a break.
I initially put this show on for casual viewing, something in the background while i work on a project but ended up really enjoying it and finished it in one weekend. Im excited to see whats in store for season 6.

I was with two partners in the past not unlike Claudia. When you've been ostracized and marginalized, you often undercut your own value just for the chance to be with someone, even if they're awful for you. Terry's going to learn that lesson the hard way.

Claudia's descent arc is so much better than the descent arc of another character from another series that is in no way related to this series (not sarcasm. Truly talking about a completely different show with no ties to this one as far as I know).
Uk Claudia and Viren may have done something really really bad but it wasn’t their fault.It just happened.Viren was very loyal to the king and he might have gotten carried away but all he has done is really for his family and Claudia is in so much trauma.Everyone has left her and she’s just trying to save her father.Any child would have.
I know Viren accepted death, but I was really hoping he'd somehow still be around. I've enjoyed every moment he was on the screen, and I really liked where his character arc was going. Still, while I'm sad all over again, this trailer looks great, and I can't wait for this next season!

If they have a clear end to the story it's best to accept what the writers want. When a show lives past that it suffers
Меня поражают люди которые рассуждают о Клаудии, что мол, какая она эгоистка, что не хотела позволить отцу умереть, что поддалась тьме, позволила своим травмам взять верх и так далее.
Клаудия никогда не была злой, она всегда была жизнерадостна, позитивным персонажем, что просто любит чёрную магию и свою семью, особенно отца. Её отец ещё не стар, он может прожить ещё десятки лет, естественно она сделает всё ради его спасения, пойдёт даже на плохие поступки и я её прекрасно понимаю, любой кто любит родителей её поймёт. Но даже в 5 сезоне она не злодейка, она отпустила дракона который за ними следил, вернула той эльфийки монеты с её родными и всё это сделала потому, что это было правильным.
И теперь, когда она в шаге от спасения своего отца, её останавливают, попутно отрубая ей ногу её самые близкие друзья. По факту они убили её отца, а саму Клаудию сделали инвалидом, у меня от такого тоже снесло бы крышу. Вот теперь она возненавидит главных героев, полностью заслуженно, вот теперь Клаудия пошлёт нравственность куда подальше и станет настоящей злодейкой. Ведь, что ей дала её доброта, что ей дали её хорошие поступки? Вернула Рейле её семью, а та ей отрезала ногу. Отпустила дракона и ей не хватило сил победить в решающем бою (а материалы с драконы чрезвычайно сильны). И теперь она усвоила урок, в этом мире побеждают не хорошими поступками, а силой.
I am amazed by people who talk about Claudia, saying how selfish she is, that she did not want to let her father die, that she succumbed to darkness, allowed her injuries to take over, and so on.
Claudia has never been evil, she has always been a cheerful, positive character who just loves black magic and her family, especially her father. Her father is not old yet, he can live for decades, of course she will do everything to save him, she will even do bad things, and I understand her perfectly, anyone who loves her parents will understand her. But even in season 5, she is not a villain, she released the dragon that was watching them, returned the coins to that elf with her family and did all this because it was the right thing to do.
And now, when she is one step away from saving her father, her closest friends stop her, cutting off her leg along the way. In fact, they killed her father, and Claudia herself was made disabled, which would have blown my mind too. Now she will hate the main characters, fully deservedly, now Claudia will send morality to hell and become a real villain. After all, what did her kindness give her, what did her good deeds give her? She returned Reila's family, and she cut off her leg. She let go of the dragon and did not have the strength to win the decisive battle (and the materials from the dragon are extremely useful). And now she has learned her lesson, in this world, one wins not by good deeds, but by force
I can't wait for season 6. Note to self. Don't ever use dark magic. That would lead you to a dark path. Not fun.
Eh use dark magic, its fun. As long as Tzeentch grants you endless wells of power and research to gather from. I do not care if I get screwed in the end, it would be worth it.

i thought claudia was going to be depressed, but i never would dream she would be this far gone. i cant believe im saying it, but i hope she doesnt make it to season 7. as harsh as that sounds, i feel she cant take much more pain and dark magic. someone should out her out of her misery. seeing her turn from such a (somewhat) nice person into this monster, its truly painful.

Good God. I knew she was gonna go crazy, but I didn’t think she’d devolve this much and this fast.
I fell in love with the series the first time I saw the trailer. I have been a fan of this thing for all the seasons and I can't wait for the next one. Claudia's transformation is heartbreaking and the fact that she started on this path out of love for her father makes it even more so. I can't wait to see what happens in the next season.

If I recall correctly, Claudia lost a leg last season. I think when she told Terry that "you're not going to leave me", I think she's going to sever his leg and graft it to her maimed knee with dark magic. By making a piece of Terry a part of her, that way he would never "leave" her. I don't know what will happen to the rest of Terry though.
For a show that was once only for kids, thats way too messed up to happen!

Viren's efforts are in vain alas. His attempts to bring Claudia back to the light is completely futile. Claudia's descend into madness and 100% villainy and point of no return is something I'm looking forward to. Either freeing Aaravos is one of her motivations or she only wants revenge and only revenge. Now I fear for Soren, when he sees his sister being too far gone. Also, did Claudia just kill Terry?

i just finished season five and i am amazed. ive been watching this since maybe before last auguest, the way Viren started going down a bad path just to at the end of his life realize his errors, wrongdoings, and mistakes. I love everything about this show. And i must add, the way soren turned was amazing. all in all. this show is and will be, Pure Bliss. Thank you.

Oh wow! This look breathtaking! Sooo excited for season 6!! Also, it's just ocurred to me that Claudia's arc has a lot in common with that of Jinx from Arcane and I'm all for it! Both shows are pure bliss❤❤❤
Just caught up from season 1 and my DAYS! The plot is terrific. I noticed how progressively darker the show became after Viren's war and how each characters philosophical dilemmas began to form. I loved the capitulation in Sea Legs, I think the characters finally got a glimpse of the gravity of their actions. Callum's use of dark magic here still makes him susceptible to Aaravos 🧐. I certainly knew Claudia would play a huge part in the philosophical dilemma of the season finale but YEESH, you guys really pushed her over the edge! The addition of Terry to her equation really slowed things down, opening another front to the plot's dilemma through Karim's betrayal.
I can certainly see Aaravos' hand in all the scheming and plotting and would definitely love to see his end game. This has been an awesome series so far! I am really hoping for a massive plot twist at the end to really cement this story in my head🔥
Certainly lives up to the creators' masterpiece in Avatar! Just couldn't not bring air bending into this 😂

Viren's choice to die was very selfish. After the dream where he saw his daughter being sucked into a huge black and red wave, even he could understand that his daughter was going to end up like this. In my opinion, he should have: (1) chosen to live, not for his own sake but to change his daughter's destiny. (2) Or he could have left her a message where he explains to her that he is leaving of his own free will (and with peace of mind). Because she spent two years gathering the ingredients to resurrect him, fought alongside them before his death and after his resurrection. She sacrificed so much out of love for her father and brother and she deserved some last words from her father. PS: she doesn't look like Azula because they just don't have the same personality.

Super scared about Claudia, as when we first saw her, she was a bubbly antagonist who found a way to stay positive, while still being a mage of Dark Magic... but now... that Claudia is gone... and a paranoid, scared and terrifying Claudia has emerged after going down the dark path for too long...
I've been calling about what type of magic would be focused on each Book, and since there will be seven books of Dragon Prince, I know exactly which type of magic will be the focus of the final book...
Moon, Sky, Sun, Earth, Ocean, Stars... Dark Magic...
I had hoped that Claudia would redeem herself in the future seasons. But after seeing this I’m starting to lose hope for her. I fear see might end up paying the ultimate price. What do you think?

It felt amazing watching this on the Geek Week livestream.
I feel bad for Claudia. At the beginning, she had every opportunity to decide for herself. But now those same actions feel justified. She has become something akin to an animal backed too far into a corner. Something is going to happen. Something violent and irreversable. Viren's vision is manifesting.
I cannot shake what Aaravos says though. "We are all made of stardust, held together by love for an instant.'
Love brings us into this world. We are the product of stardust coalesced by the love of our progenitors. What happens when there is no love for a person then? There is no love holding that starduat together. Claudia, is no longer being held together. So she jas two choices:
Go out with a bang.
Go out with a whimper.
I hope Claudia doesn't kill Terrestrius or do anything to harm him. She is very traumatized from losing her father a 2nd time, her leg, her brother, her friends. She's really lost so much. She still doesn't know The Being, jokingly called Sir Sparklepuff is her half brother.
Plus, I still think Viren soul swampped King Harrow with his pet bird.

I seriously can’t wait for the epic next chapter of the greatest fantasy series on Netflix just because I’m anxious to learn the identity of the mysterious mushroom mage who healed Zubaya and, more importantly, to see how Claudia’s horror movie of an arc is gonna be tied up

You sure? All the seasons correspond to the 6 primal sources and with the last one being Stars, that tells me this is the final chapter. I mean, I’m not complaining, I’m relieved to hear that because of other important elements that have yet to be wrapped up that I’m not sure 6 more episodes can do. I guess the better question is “What will the 7th season be titled?”

Viren coming to realize what Aaravos and dark magic is doing to her, realized the best way is to make sure he is fully revived so she doesn't fall further, only for him to sacrifice himself for her sake. I imagine Viren now can only watch as Claudia falls further down a horrific path that even he would never go. Viren has standards but not Aaravos and it's already too late for him to realize the hidden motives the Startouched Elf has for his daughter. Claudia first losing her mother, then Soren leaving her and their father seeing what their father was doing, and now unable to save her father Viren, she falls further down becoming more corrupted by Dark Magic every second as it slowly takes from her life and ever closer to becoming Aaravos's greatest pawn and disciple in the latter's return and revenge against those who have betrayed him.
I dont want her to die because I feel bad for her, but also she’s pushing it. After all the people & animals she sacrificed this just tells us that she lost her marbles.

Excited for this season, not only is Aaravos going to get free, but Sol Regem will be healed. I was so mad when nothing actually important happened at the end of season 5. It was hyping up Aaravos' escape and Sol Regem's return and then yanked it all away. Made no sense to me, but hopefully it'll all come back in season 6.
Aaravos will literally have a dragon plot device. He's Xanatos Gambit to this moment for centuries. All for his freedom
I think what Aaravos said is vital to understanding the Star Arcanum.
