I played it through the entire Early Acess since 2019 and it was a truly magical journey. The Devs really seem like a group of friends thats absurdly transparent with their process. U had constant updates over the years, many community events and just a team thats in it with their heart and soul. If they make epic trailer for updates, meme on the community or openly look at mods made by the community to consider making them full game features - they display and absolut trustworthy behaviour thats closer to the community than i think i have ever seen a dev studio. Coffee Stain Studios are goated and its mirrored on their game. No pls excuse me, my Modular Engine Factory needs to be connected to my power grid - pray with me that my calculations where correct and i have enough Power for the 4 Miners MK2, 32 Smelters, 23 Contructors, 19 Assemblers, 4 Refinerys and 5 Manufacturers.

Thanks for the solid overview. This is one that I want to love, but without a pressure mechanic like Factorio has (the bugs) I reach a point where I stop feeling like I'm playing a game and start feeling like I'm playing a spreadsheet. That being said, there are absolutely people who love that sort of challenge of optimization, so this absolutely has a big audience that should love it.

Yeah, I love both, but Satisfactory is definitely aimed more at the base building crowd. The drive for me is just building big cool looking stuff with all the tools you can unlock and then watching it all work.

That's a very valid point. On the other end of the spectrum, as someone that just wants to build the base and explore, I was never able to get into Factorio, but Satisfactory does all the right things for me.

I want something that I can do to chill, Factories never did it for me, but Satisfactory absolutely does. Like you said, subjective.

I am the absolute opposite as I find the pressure mechanic turned me off from factorio. But I love the dopamine from doing achievable tasks.

I hate that anyone uses the word grind in a game where the object is literally to get the game to play itself
