I'm 67. This band and, others were part of my late teen/early adult years when I was so into rock. Great music, great musicians. I have over 1000 LP's and still play them. I may be 67 but in my heart/mind, I'm still young.
Hi Pam, I feel exactly the same way you do. I'm 62, but I believe we both experienced the golden age of rock & roll -- and the beginning of the magic of music like Glass Harp. This is an especially soothing song. I have to admit, I constantly go back to the music embedded in my brain and heart with my memories and friends who were musicians. CSNY, Joni, Fogelberg, JT, ... you know the list. I go back to all of this music all the time. Great stuff!
Glass Harp was my favorite group for a long time. I met Phil Kegy at Trinity Gospel Temple in Canton, Ohio. Down to earth guy. By the way, I am 65 and still rockin and rollin. I am taking my 13 year old grandson to see Santana in Cincinnati next year. His first concert
@@phbristol Both of you ladies are so right, Great music, the best music and musicians of any era. This song and Song of Hope became part of the soundtrack of my life around 1978 through a couple of friends, one of which had a huge Christian and classic jazz album collection. These songs bring me joy to this day and I'll be 66 in about 3 weeks.
Same!! I heard it a week or two ago on Deep Tracks an blown away how positive an talented, but never heard of. True beauty and so blessed to enjoy. Thank you❤
@@MrJones-918 I also heard Glass Harp on Deep Tracks. I actually never change my Sirius XM from Deep Tracks because what they play on Classic Vinyl, I already have. The same thing with Classic Rewind, etc. Therefore, it's Deep Tracks for me.
My mom still talks about seeing these guys at the portage county Randolph fair. I can only imagine hearing these tones floating over the fairgrounds on a muggy, late summer evening...
How many bands got their break at county fairs I remember the colonial five in matewan at the Mingo county fair to me at that time time they were legend thank you Jimmy Wesley who lives in Marshall WVa
@@debbies4525 yes, I think it contributed to his strength with the remaining finger to the right of the missing ring finger (his pinky) on his strumming hand, to do his volume swells with, that he's noted for.
I like many great classic rock songs, but I like this more than Stairway To Heaven. Beautiful song, a shame this didn’t become a bigger hit so more people could have heard it.
The beginning of a Beautiful journey for Phil Keaggy in Glass harp . His talent playing guitar is something you’d have to see to appreciate . Phil is still going strong , doing concerts, now doing Christian music

Enjoyed hearing this live in Kent, Ohio 50 years ago and STILL enjoy it today with all the strings...blessings on you and yours!
Yes they were the Mahoning Valley icons.
I knew Phil personally and went to bible studies at his house.
It's bands like this that tell me I need to listen to more music. From a fan
Thank the lord for Sirius XM Deep Tracks. Discovered so many good songs from that channel, including this one.

Haven't heard this in 50 years! Wow! Thank you for posting this. With a REAL Orchestra, no less. Great recording with the Master, Phil Keaggy!

I've loved this Album since it first came out !!! 💕🙏💕💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
precious song
I always love the guitar solo on this song, including the behind the nut bends.
The guy was ahead of his time.
And Phil Keagy was missing part of his finger.

Phil is the best 💜🙏💜
I wish there were still bands that spoke as eloquently as glass harp
Follow this with My Life, Keaggy
hello friends, this is our beautiful secret
Phil Keggi in these other musicians were so good they were better than a lot of bands at that time they just didn’t get much exposure.

Not a fan, well that’s your prerogative, but in my opinion this is great classic rock music. Phil Keaggy; an excellent composer and guitarist.
