Dusti it ended up being a good sale for you. You found some great treasures. The milk glass salt & pepper set on the stand was pretty. The empty center could have had a little handle to pick it up or the center could have held toothpicks or even a candle 😊. Love the platters, silver tray and the wallet with the old photos is wonderful. I have always loved old photos and have many in the house that I have no idea who they are😊. Enjoy your weekend. That was the perfect estate sale for the creepy Halloween season.😀As a child, I loved rummaging through my aunt’s attic and I still love doing that today, so it would have been fun for me. You got some really neat stuff. I absolutely love the spice crocks! I always love to rescue any religious items, too!

You usually get great prices! ❤️ there was some beautiful furniture but have no room for it😂 my grandpa had an office in the basement and just all kinds of old books, and whatnots and I loved it even as a young child❤️
Hi Dusti!😁 I hope the young lady was able to get a bunch of dolls! I love to see the youth appreciating vintage treasures and having their own collections. Unfortunately, we live in a disposable world where everything doesn't mean anything to people and can be replaced so when i hear stories like that and also you rescuing the wallet and pictures it makes my heart full of joy. You really had a good haul and alot of unique treasures! I can honestly say my favorite also was the made in japan milk glass english hobnail set on the wooden thingy with legs! Oh my...so many treasures! The flakey piece is my favorite (patina to the max!), but the two platters are fantastic too. I'm glad you picked up the wallet with photos. I always love looking through old photos in antique shops and have quite a few framed portraits in my house...all handsome fellas from days gone by. One of them I bought in an antique shop that is now destroyed in Chimney Rock. The doll room still gets me. I wonder if the "girls" were hung from the ceiling when they were being "bad". Lol...sorry...sick sense of humor, but that's what I thought when I first saw it.

Oh boy...I'm such a nut. Speaking of nuts, the antique store in Chimney Rock was called The Hickory Nut and most of it collapsed into the raging Broad River. Very sad, but I've been watching a lot of YT videos about the clean-up in Chimney Rock. It's amazing what has been done so far for sure.

I do not find houses to be creepy. They are just vessels for people. I DO find people can be creepy. The lady who owned the dolls had an interesting way of displaying them, that is for sure.

The large silver tray is really pretty. The platter is beautiful! They really do havea different sound! The silver piece with the scoop is a sugar dish! Someone found one at an estate sale not long ago & did a google Lens on it. Its a much older piece too! Its A gorgeous piece too! Lol no mice or eyes of toad, you had me giggling on that one!😆 Oh Wow the oil lamps are awesome! Never seen any like those, quite different but beautiful! The candleabra is really pretty. Love the tomato spoon, I'm looking for more of them too! Love the old bible of course!😊 My sister had that same little spice rack many years ago! The salt & pepper shakers on the wood stand look like milk glass! I think i would google Lens that set before you post it! I love the really old antique photos, especially the Victorian ones & the babies/children! The one of the man & woman sitting on the porch reminds me so much of some pictures i remember my mom having of her & my dad before i was ever born.🥹 Dusti it would be a much better world I more people had the heart you have! I agree, I don’t think the dolls were necessarily creepy (although some were or just ugly 🤣) but the hanging from the ceiling part 👀 I didn’t know that about the sugar dish and scoop. I had to keep it, it’s just so beautiful. I just love looking at old things even if they aren’t my style or what I want. Just so much detail, quality and you can feel the history ❤️ I’m so glad God made you and were friends and sisters in Christ ✝️❤️🙏🏻 love you and have a wonderful weekend ❤️
