There is just something about a moment with a bride has vows for her new children. Tim has 4 children of his own, and Sara is stepping into the role of “bonus mom” as she put it. The vows to these kids, even though they may not know yet what they mean, will set the framework for their lives together forever. Such an honor to film these moments.

When Sara contacted me about filming her and Tim’s wedding, I knew I wanted to be part of this day. What got me was their love for God, and their story. It reminded me of my story with my wife. These two had been friends for quite a while, but it wasn’t romantic. That was, until they realized it was actually love. When this kind of love happens, it happens fast. Friends, that then fall in love, just don’t want to wait any longer to be married. Because of their faith, they knew it that they were meant to be. So what did they do? The got engaged on a Friday, and went to the courthouse on Saturday to get married. Fast forward a few months, and they are tying the knot formally with a wedding and reception at The Rustic Creek in Verdigris.
When we got to this venue, we were reminded of so many weddings we have done in the past few years. Open land, Oklahoma skies, and the perfect weather. October weddings in Oklahoma have to be some of the best. Sara was getting ready with the girls, and Tim was with the guys. We spent time with each of these two as they got ready. After their first look, (which was beautiful), we were off to the ceremony. We might want to mention that Sara had always wanted a ceremony under the stars, with lights above, and that is exactly what she got. The ceremony started after sunset, and it was lit by the stars!
The night was filled with family and friends, and they danced and laughed the entire time. We had so much fun getting to know these two, and their story. Be sure to check out the video for some amazing moments, and to hear the story for yourself!
