Actually, yes. Two decades ago millions of Americans saw her as a kind of sweetheart, and I was one of them. In her bitter invective-laced interview with Bill Maher, she used the pseudo word "corroding." I think she meant "corrosive." I suspect that's what happened to her; she succumbed to the lure of elitism and now shows its corrosive effects.
