That’s where it all started. The great music by the Spliff band aka Nina Hagen Band back in 1978 was simply a Trojan Horse for this crazy chick from the East. We lapped it up. She had the balls to sing in German. That alone made her the Queen of cool. And sure an ode to abortion … and girl power … that was just the coolest of the cool.
