He does . I did uber for awhile and he ordered an uber to downtown Feb. 2023. It was literally 3 days before he signed the 6 year deal with SD. We had a brief convo and I had no idea who he even was… I thought he was joking bcuz I don’t know alot of baseball players. Had it been an nba player, I’d know right off the bat. When I dropped him off at Petco Park the security waved me off, but once i rolled the window down she let us by. I thought, he had to be someone so when he got out. I screenshot his name and googled the roster. I couldn’t believe it 😂😂😂 I know where his house is
In his childhood, he was so smart as well. Darvish joined a class in his cram school exclusively for students who study to go to the best senior high school named Nada High School, but decided to focus on baseball finally.
I'm mesmerized by his attention to his craft. He is so dedicated and is still learning and getting better. Really inspiring and perhaps a reflection of Japanese culture as a whole. Lucky to watch him on my favorite team the Padres. Thanks Yu! 🤎💛
LoveLOVE! Thank u! Darvish is my favorite Pitcher on the Padres! I watched the Padres from FL this past season. Epic series Post season vs Dodgers! 🥰👏🏽
See ppl from oversea has no idea what you are talking about. He pertisipated WBC team Japan, n his wife is Japanese. If he struggled and and suffered racism as you have mentione i am sure he wouldn't be part of it. ppl of japan judge a person by behavior and attitude not by the ethnicity or origen.
@@zealandiajpn6275 you just don't know. racism is real everywhere including in japan. it's just, not everyone like that, and even if they are racist, not everyone explicitly show it. darvish might be well respected now because of his achievements and look, but back when he was small kid, he was bullied since he was mixed blood and had foreign surname. his mom and brother appeared in a japanese show recently. her mom revealed that young darvish once blamed her mom and asked her why she married a foreigner. this was when he was 4th grader. however his mom also explained later on he apologized and that his dad is still the best dad ever.
this guy, is one of the best pitchers in the world.. ive seen him playing against korea in a finals of some sort.. the mans a beast..
This was great. Thanks for a look into one of the best pitchers in mlb and one of my favorites
I think he now owns a property in Rancho Santa Fe here in San Diego. I did a delivery and noticed the name on the delivery products.
No way really i know exactly where is rancho Santa Fe
or maybe renting there

ran into his dad here in Kobe yesterday. Says Yus contract is up next year. His dad has a museum here in kobe dedicated to his son! Great family!
01:17 That is ICHIRO SUZUKI! Not Darvish lol
Ichiro played for Meiden when he was in high school.
Thank you for the comprehensive and detailed introduction to Darvish, it is rare to see English speaking videos introducing him
Hey Wu Cheng-Da, glad you enjoyed the video! 👊⚾

Absolute class act.
His son is playing here at IMG in Bradenton Florida
Amazing baseball pitcher and also famous in Taiwan
He’s made over $150m so I hope his net worth isn’t in the 20m range
that the first thing i thought.
well half of it went to tax.. so..
Nice guy for Landon ❤
Song?
Ballpoint - Bathtub
Yu Darvish has baseball as his sideline, and his main job is a baseball smartphone game.
nice guy
He did not allow nine runs in game 7?
That's messed up of the Astros. Why didn't they get the trophy taken away?

I don't know how he survived the racism in Japan.
Said who?
He is not discriminated against because he is not an anti-Japanese Korean.
He survived because he had big build, very talented in baseball, and handsome.

net worth of 23 mil is laughable.
These are people who play baseball for a living. Men and women who risk their lives for our country live under bridges!
Shut up
Ok good for you? No one asked?
@@warlordop713 it is assholes like you who don’t appreciate the freedoms our veterans give you, that don’t deserve the freedom you get from them.
