Such a cute card, love all those pups. Your coloring is inspiring me to get out my gamsol, but I promised myself no “fun” until all Christmas goodies are put away and my room is tidy! It’s getting there.
Love this card and I need to buy that stamp!! I have to agree with you on the Polychromos. I got both Prismacolor and Polychromos last Christmas and instantly loved my Polychromos. Love how they layer and blend. Something about the waxy effect of the Prismacolor pencils that doesn't make me love them the same.
Wow Nichol, I had to watch this video tutorial twice in order that I could watch you colour these little critters in again with the coloured pencils. I did love too the Mama Elephant Snowmen and Cats stamps too and thought they too were great opportunities for colouring in what every medium you enjoy as a crafter. I loved the background idea here where you added some hearts with a stencil, that is something else I might need to add to my stash. Thanks Nichol great project. :o)
Here's is the manufacturer description: A blending medium for colored pencils. Gamsol is a brand of artist-grade odorless mineral spirits, which is packaged into a convenient, sponge-top dabber bottle. This 'magical' liquid results in a pretty, almost watercolor-like look since it essentially melts the pencil lines and erases their grainy appearance. Simply color in your stamped image with colored pencils, and apply Gamsol using the blending stumps.
Adorable. Also a dog lover. Thanks Mama Elephant.... And thank you Nichol for sharing.
I am in love with the dogs ! I think this is the best bitty stamp set ever, better than all the others!
