This will be the song my husband and i dance our first dance to when we do our actual ceremony. Only took me 14 years to find the right one this time but hes healing wounds he didnt cause. He broke through every wall I've ever built and found the me I've kept hidden inside. He brought me back to life and saved me in ways I can't even begin to explain in words.

Thank you guys for making my old lady’s day. We were walking in the Nashville mall with our 2 month old son,when they approached us handing out flowers for their new album. They took pictures and talked for a little while. Even complementing my sons John deer outfit that I was so proud to put him in. She was over the moon meeting y’all! We talked about the whole way home.
You guys seem to be the living, breathing embodiment of what love is. Would he have lived if you weren't by his side through thick and thin??

Amazing as always. I am just seeing the full video and it still brings tears to my eyes. Remembering the heartbreak and all of the tension as well as the shock of finding out. Sitting in the hospital not sure if Scott was going to make it is something that was hard for even me so I can't imagine how hard it was for Matt, his cousin Barry, their good friend and honorary brother Josh or his family and closest friends. So many of us were praying and asking God to heal Scott. There's no doubt that God placed his hands on and healed him. The Good Lord keeps His promises. It is said that where 2 or more are gathered together in prayer their prayers will be answered. There were definitely alot of people gathered together praying. You are truly blessed and a miracle, Scott Thomas and have the friendship and love of so many that most can only dream of. GOD wasn't ready for you yet. He made you a testimony of His promises and love for all the world to see. YOU are definitely a Miracle Man.

Forgiveness is about not allowing them to have power over you in regard to hate. Not forgiving people means they still have power over you. You can forgive someone and they still suffer the consequences of their actions.

This was a very emotional and heartbreaking time….but also beautiful time. It shows the love and friendship between all of these guys and their friends and families. Matt, Scott, Josh and Barry definitely have the absolute best friends….more like brothers. Someone said this gives a new or different view of this song and that’s so true…..the love Matt and Scott have as brothers and the love of the four of them. They had so many who didn’t leave the guys…they were there for support and just a genuine brother friendship. I’m sure it was painful for the families of Scott and Matt…all of them. These guys deserve all the good that any group deserves….they are so real in their appreciation of all the fans and everyone who has been by their side as long as they’ve been playing music together. Strangers came forth to off help if they could…they were strangers then became friends. These guys are The Best.

Beautiful song! On my playlist! My husband and I have been married 40 years. He just spent 14 weeks in the hospital for a liver transplant. We nearly lost him 3 times. I spent every day with him. Don’t ever take a day for granted!

I just saw you perform this song on The Kelly Clarkson Show. I immediately came here to listen to the official recorded version and I'm so relieved. What I was missing in the live performance was here in this version. To me, guitars are so important! They add texture, and ambience, and urgency, that just can't be duplicated by any other instrument. If a guitar(s) is not available for live performances I'd suggest even a synthesized guitar would be better than nothing. I do love this song so best of luck with the new album!

My wife and I were granted access to that bus just a few short days after the shooting where it was stored. It was very surreal looking around the bus as we were huge Parmalee fans at the time. So glad the boys made it through that and have seen a much brighter side of what could have been.
I think this video should win video of the year at the CMT Awards as it's a great video & it's based on a true event that really happened.

I watched this video and researched the shooting and the fact you were given 5% to survive was Gods will that you did. Im a retired RN and know with odds such as that is like a death sentence. God knew you had other things to accomplish so he kept you on planet earth for a purpose. I’m from Greenville SC and remember the news back then about a band being in a shoot out in Rockhill. Saying you forgave the shooter helped heal you in ways so many can’t understand. I hope the injuries you sustained didn’t leave you with residual health problems. I know it changed your life and that’s understandable but not hating heals you.

I was pretty close to the guys when this all happened and couldn’t believe it and in a way it was a blessing because it changed the whole trajectory of their careers…I always had a feeling they would make it they just had that “it factor “ you don’t see every day out of a local bar band and don’t get wrong they kicked butt as a hard rock band but I’m so glad they crossed over to country! They deserve every bit of success they put in years of hard work to get here playing in small clubs and it didn’t matter if it was in front of 20 or 500 people they put on a show exactly the same! Mad respect from me and so happy Scott pulled through I know God had bigger plans for him !
