Very interesting interview, I really liked how the interviewer (even if he is very NY style) tried to improvise questions based on the conversation and not on the typical stereotypes of "what inspired you to write X song", well done on his part. As for the band's awkwardness, I think it's part of their charm and probably the reason why the conversation didn't flow that much on that setup as opposed to having the interview in a bar having some drinks maybe.
I'm not sure if it's them being a bit awks or if the interviewer doesn't know much about the group but I didn't feel any spark from this interview. I mean he called them 'the parcels' so that just shows he probs didn't do that much research. But I can also see they are a quiet bunch and weren't being very talkative back. I still love their music but I was thinking they would be a more lively/chatty group based off their live performances. x
I had the chance of interview them over the phone when they released Live Vol. 1 and I can tell you they love to talk a lot about their work. The problem truly is the interviewer. He is so bad at his job... Such a waste to have one of the greatest bands in the world right now in the studio and do such a poor interview.
I would think with Maison Kitsuné producing their album (they pretty much produced all the French touch including Daft Punk, Phoenix and so on), they did not have to make a garage clip all by themselves. The influences are pretty obvious and they are pretty good ones from Fleetwood to Supertramp. These influences are not pop either. Great international band in the making.
I do appreciate this interview but i find that the questions are too narrow and closed, not open enough to let them speak and express themselves, Good tho, thanks for that !
I like how all the guys from the band have an equal input during the interview
how am i crushing on all of them at once
same XD
X3
These are super good questions. Good job on the interviewers side 👍

I actually dont mind the interviewer. He seems genuinely interested and these interviews are just so hard. I talk from experience.

The guys are kind of introverts and the interviewer seems not to be an experienced one.
Great interview
Didnt know Tom Odell joined the band.
04:30 I wish the camera still showed all of them.

No way! Jules is too classy!
why are all BUILD interviews disaster? seriously
Cans?
Dear Kevan, please do your homework the next time you host an interview. This was really poor you can tell the band was slightly uncomfortable
What's wrong with this interviewer,he is really bad,I'm pissed off,how amazingly those guys handle it.
I prefer when they are interviewed by women

04:00 You don’t need to talk bad things about a band to praise another. It was wrong in many ways. GVF is huge and You are so unprofessional!
Chad needs to stop doing interviewing bands. *Really* tried to sound smart
This interview is insulting
