I remember those long nights during my pregnancy when I couldn't sleep and I watched Carly Rose on youtube over and over again. Today 9 year later im in my room watching this video while my 9 year old boy sleeps in his room.
She clearly got rob and the country singer that won did absolutely nothing in the industry. But on the bright side she got to keep her childhood and those experience. And now she can still pursue her singing. So it all seems to work out.

I can’t believe I’m 23 and still use my study breaks to watch AGT and The Voice, but seeing this reminded me where the obsession started 😂 I’ll never forget L.A Reed’s iconic “WhAt 🤨!” When he heard you sing. I watched that entire season, two times over, I remember. Probably the best season in X factor history.

I remember when you where on X Factor my Bubbie said seeing and hearing you sing reminded her of me because I lived in Florida at the time. And Its been a little over a year since she passed and seeing this pop up on my UA-cam feed reminded me of her. The impact this just had on me is immeasurable. I watched this original performance on Tv with my mom. We were both taken over by a serious wave of emotions. Tears and laughter. Two adults crying because of a talented 13 year old girl. It was a fantastic memory. 10 years later and I am sitting alone watching this in the same room only mom is not here anymore. I miss the amount of vibrato in the original, but her stylistic technique has gotten so much better. Harmonies and awareness of tone is so much improved. During the show she was coming off Broadway and was so classically trained, everything she sang was so perfect but deff didn't have as much emotion as she sings with now as an adult. Love love this. Thank you for doing this. Your version of broken-hearted is one of my favorite songs of all time and often a go to when I want to practice my runs. This new version is so ethereal. I always wondered it would have sounded like with music to it. Thank you :)) xoxo
I just commented the same thing. Vibrato is hard to learn how to control. You either can do vibrato or you can't - or you fake it with tremolo, lol. Carly has a gift of vibrato. Why did she stop doing it? I can't lie I feel disappointed 😭😩

Where as her original she had just gotten off Broadway only a few years prior so that was more muscle memory at the time for her. I think her voice sounds more grown up and her tone awareness is better in this new version. But I miss the technicality the original had thay is lacking here

The first version made my jaw drop as one of the most amazing musical moments I had seen captured on film/video. The simplicity and sincerity of the stunning vocal. Its so nice to see Carly grow as an artist and a person. Such a rare and wonderful talent. \
