Listen. A couple years ago I prayed to grow and have been praying for a wife. I have been going THROUGH IT. However, this pruning season has changed me a lot and opened my eyes to my own faults, wickedness, etc. God is cleansing and growing me for sure.

I prayed for patience about 15 years ago. My son will be 15 in November. I'm a lot more patient now than I was 15 years ago, that's for sure 😂😂❤

When you were speaking, I thought of Heb 12:11 "All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness." We are being discipled, which is a good thing. It proves we are His legitimate children. Shalom!

😂 I ask for it everyday but I also ask for God to help me handle it in a healthy Godly way even if it hurts. Do I have emotional reactions? Yes lol buuuuut I gained a nonchalance that comes after so I function throughout my day. I keep talking to God at random times. I read my Bible every day and will read more times when something is heavy. At the end, my bliss is otherworldly. I’ve recently gotten the gift of contentment so when I say I’ve been content with things and let God actually handle it…my life has been much easier than it used to be. I look back and admit, I didn’t trust God as much as I thought. That scared me so I clung to him and asked for help in my issues with trust. How can I love Christ and not trust Him? I let people scar me. God never left me and continues to show me how he lines things up unexpectedly. I owed Him all my heart with my trust that he has never hurt me but only refined ❤. He’s the only being I trust 100%…even with my mess ups lol. This life 😂❤
I was going to say "the Refiners Fire" , so, basically the same thing, because that also, through Trial, Purges away the Dross in our Lives, and makes us Conformed to the Image of Christ.
Indeed, I do not often count Trials as Joy, so, I got to say "ouch" on that one.. ("If you cannot say Amen, you gotta say Ouch!"-Voddie) I need help there, as I think many of the sheep do!
We are here to Suffer, and we need to Pray to be given the Strength, in Christ, to endure the Fiery Trials!
I am slowly learning the Hymns again, but there are many I do not know yet, sadly, my old church dropped all the wonderful old hymns and changed over fully to beth-hell and hell-song (and the church hurt from that is why I am so fire-Breathing in my Opposition against them!) so I am very Rusty as I a Re-Learn some of the old hymns, and that is a Proper Old one, John Newton, a very Great man of God indeed, from the 18th Century! and Discover others for the first Time!
I am suffering with Depression at the moment, a trial indeed, but the Lord, the man of Sorrows, most certainly understands, and I share in His sorrow.
The old hymns and a few new ones ( Cece Winans) are the best
@@Nann-o1h I am very, very reluctant to accept anything after 1975 as Godly, I do not accept modern "gospel music" as it is just too Worldly in Style and Tone, I consider it a Sinful and thus I have to Personally Abstain, Sorry.

Trials are done to teach to do the right thing to do in bad situation. Its helps to have discipline and self-control in bad situations. It also teaches us how to think and reason as well. So i disagree its dangerous. Its only dangerous to those who doesn't want to do the right thing. Growing in Christ makes you stronger, wiser, and better.
I think you misunderstood my use of dangerous. I’m not saying trials are bad.
@@Kdubtru Well you said dangerous and dangerous usually means bad right?? Also the Bible and trials are not to make us more like Christ. For example honoring mother and father is not Christ like its a command to obey. Being faithful to your wife is not Christ like it's a command to follow. Thou shall not steal is not Christ like its a command to follow. It's done to shape your own character. No one will ever be like God nor Christ. Love your neighbor as yourself is not Christ like its a command to follow. Thou shall not murder is not Christ like its a command to follow

Gene Kim is a false teacher even at best, and very possibly a cult leader in the fact he views his false way of reading Scripture as the only one that is Permissible.. I advise most strongly that you Flee from him! he is Arminian and Heterodox, his theology is Romish, his gospel is false, and Dispensationalism is utterly Unbiblical! Mark and avoid him! I beg of you in love. He is not a Christian, he is a false teacher, and he is leading you Astray, Flee from him!
