We raised pigs and they was always outside until we knew it was close to time for them to farrow... We would put them in the barn and they would farrow and on the 2nd day after they had those cute piglets we would let them get out and go outside for awhile.. The only reason we kept them in a farrowing crate is because the number of piglets that would get stuck underneath the sows.. No one likes dead piglets... Pigs are very intelligent and got so close to them.. It hard explaining to kids why they have to leave.... My daughter still don't like pork... ( well except for bacon ) ..... :-)

Sad people still use and abuse innocent animals for personal gain .
comfortable caged,,, Im sure they would prefer the cages to an open grassy area
They don't look so happy being penned up like that all day....
I stopped eating pork because pigs are intelligent animals and deserve better than this.
