I started using chicken base because of you instead of chicken broth or stock and I LOVE it!!! It saves money in the end because you arent buying cartons and cartons of stock. Thank you!!

You can add or omit anything from a recipe. A recipe is only something to guide you along. You could completely change this recipe if you wanted. An example would be to replace the ground turkey with shredded beef, spaghetti sauce instead of cheese sauce, and use peppers and mushrooms instead of squash.

Hi laura. I love your recipes. But it would be easier if you put "print" button to print the recipe only not the whole webpage. And if you can put the link in the lower bar to the recipe directly not to the home page. Thanks

I like lasagna with shrimps, chicken and/or turkey in it. I also like tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh herbs in it. And I like all of it to be organic. After watching your video, I have the feeling I can make my own delicious organic lasagna.

This is the first proper recipe for lasagnas (although I prepare meat a little bit different and cook the pasta). Everyone is so stingy with cheese on every layer part. I noticed when others don't add cheese to them it all falls apart or just slides. So it kind of keeps it all together :)

Laura, is there anything that can substitute the squash? It's not a very well liked dish in my family, and I was wondering if there was anything that could make for a good replacement.

  • @DJAshe13
    @DJAshe13 11 років тому +1

Looks delicious, Laura! Going to try this replacing the ground turkey with either ground veal or ground pork, since my family doesn't care for ground turkey.
I love the no boil lasagna too! Makes things SO much easier! For those who say it doesn't get done or doesn't cook fully, you must use the following steps: make sure all the lasagna noodles are completely covered with whatever sauce you are using, that you cover the pan with foil or a lid, and that it bakes for the full amount of recommended time. If you do these things, it will come out perfect every time. Trust me. I found out the hard way! Also here's something you may not know, it doesn't have to be the no boil type to work this way. It works with most all lasagna as long as you follow the steps I mentioned above. I use a regular type (not no boil) and it always works like a charm! :)

I found this recipe on the internet:
Ingredients for 1 ounce of seasoning:
      2 teaspoons ground sage
      1 1/2 teaspoons ground thyme
      1 teaspoon ground marjoram
      3/4 teaspoon ground rosemary
      1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
(If you're using fresh then just grind them up with a food processor or coffee grinder or a mortar and pestle)
      Directions:
      1) Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
      2) Store in a clean used spice bottle tightly covered.
